This combination is completely new in the Oriental hybrid divisions of lilies suited to forcing and to mass commercial cultivation. The variety is highly resistant to fusarium disease and shows tolerance of virus. The bulbs may be precooled and forced for cut-flower production. The clone is vigorous and is a good grower and propagator.

Abstract: A method, system and device for determining the quality of assembly of tool parts involves measurement of the rates of rotation of the tool parts or the torque imposed on the tool parts, or a combination thereof, followed by measurement of axial strain, or torsional strain, or hoop strain, or a combination thereof. The measured data are processed to determine the presence of a shoulder, seizing, seals, extreme hoop pressure, mismatched connections, and the like during assembly of the tool parts, thus assuring quality of assembly. The collected data are plotted versus time and displayed for the operator. The clamping device employed can be a one-part device for measuring hoop strain only, or can be a two-part device for measuring two or more of the aforementioned strain values.

Each link includes a driving tooth protruding from one surface of the link midway between the pivotal axes of the link. The tooth is preferably formed so that its faces are a pair of intersecting, convex, cylindrical segments of like radii of curvature, the cylindrical axes of the segments being located such that the curvature of the faces insures that there if no scrubbing action where the belt is driven by a sprocket, the teeth of which are shaped to provide an inversely curved mating surface with the link teeth.

Abstract: A multiple projection television receiver is made from of identical modules, each of the modules each of which have three cathode-ray tubes corresponding to the colors red, green and blue, respectively. The modules are stacked vertically and horizontally to form a single picture made from the modules. Each of the modules has a screen in the front behind which is located a Fresnel lens. The cathode-ray tubes project the picture through the Fresnel lens onto the screen. Couplers which are attached to the top of all the modules except the modules on the top row, which do not have couplers on top, are U-shaped support members which interlock with modules stacked on top. The height of the couplers may be larger towards the rear so that the assembled multiple projection television receiver is inclined forward. Engaging members extend out and interlock with adjacent modules to horizontally fix the television receiver modules.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly is provided for components that are rotatable relative to one another, such as a steering column and a steering wheel for a vehicle. The assembly comprises a steering column cassette and an opposed mateable steering wheel cassette. Concentric recesses are formed in the mating face of at least one of the cassettes. The opposed mating surfaces are further defined by discrete concentric conductive portions formed on or disposed in the cassettes. At least one resilient electrically conductive contact member is resiliently engaged between the cassettes to make redundant electrical contact with the opposed cassette. The cassettes may be appropriately configured for environmental sealing.

The inner layer also is formed of a material which likewise forms a liquid barrier and a micro-organism barrier and also is preferably hydrophobic. The intermediate layer separates the outer layer and the inner layer in a region of a portion of the article and prevents direct contact between the inner and outer layers in that region.

Abstract: A protective medical glove containing a liquid antiseptic composition and methods for its use are disclosed. The flexible glove comprises at least a thin inner layer and at least a thin outer layer of material; the outer layer is preferably the more elastic and less plastic layer. Between the layers of the glove, a liquid antiseptic composition is stored which comprises an antiseptic in a liquid. The liquid antiseptic composition may also contain a surface-active agent, an algesic agent, a colorant, a vasoconstrictive agent, a smell-causing chemical, and a viscosity-modifying agent.

Abstract: A household implement comprises a cup-shaped plunger member contactable with a household surface and a collapsible handle attached to the plunger member. The handle has an outer tubular handle part and an inner tubular handle part telescopingly inserted therein. One end of the inner tubular handle part is fixed to the plunger member, while an opposite end of the inner tubular handle part is disposed inside a first end of the outer tubular handle part. The first end of the outer tubular handle part is provided with an aperture. The household implement further comprises a hollow casing member attached to the outer tubular handle part at the first end thereof. The hollow casing member is larger than the plunger member, so that the casing member can substantially surround the plunger member upon movement of the outer tubular handle part over the first tubular handle part towards the plunger member.

Abstract: A whirlpool bath is provided having a support frame for contact with a supporting surface. The support frame includes a support section for separately supporting a water containing tank and an impeller for selectively creating a water jet stream within the tank or pumping water from the tank. The support section is vertically adjustable to adjust the position of both the tank and the impeller relative to the support surface and the impeller is separately adjustable vertically relative to the tank. The tank is not secured to the support section, and both the tank and the impeller may be separately removed for cleaning. The tank includes a sump at one end thereof which is dimensioned to receive the impeller when water is to be pumped from the tank.

Abstract: A whirlpool bathtub has a plurality of devices positioned in the tub wall and/or tub floor for generating water or water and air jets. Each device has a pump wheel positioned behind an impeller both facing the tub interior and fixed on a drive shaft of an electric motor capable of reversing motor rotation. When the electric motor rotates in one direction, the impeller aspirates water from the tub interior and returns the water through a central outlet as a water jet. When the electric motor is rotated in the opposite direction, both the impeller and pump wheel rotate where the pump wheel also aspirate water which is used to aspirate ambient air and then injected into the tub, thereby generating an air bubble massage. In other embodiments, the impeller free-wheels when the motor rotates in the opposite direction, and the impeller can aspirate air when the motor rotates in the one direction.

Abstract: A bath chair for handicapped users comprises a plurality of individual light weight parts which may be packed as an article of luggage and quickly and easily assembled for use. The chair has a seat frame upon which a cushion is placed, and a bench frame also having a cushion which is locked to the seat frame with a swivelly mounted protective arm therebetween. Adjustable legs on the seat frame and the bench frame permit adjustment of the chair to the desired height. A back rest is mounted on the seat frame, and a second protective arm is mounted on the other side thereof from the bench frame. Adjustable tub clamping members are detachably mounted to, and depend from, the bench frame for clamping the wall of a bathtub.

Extending integrally and angularly from one side of the main body section is a first water deflecting fin. A second water deflecting fin extends integrally and angularly from an opposite side of the main body section. A channel-shaped bracket for mounting the attachment on the toilet bowl rim extends integrally and upwardly from a central portion of the main body at a top edge thereof. The bracket is dimensioned to snugly receive the rim within its channel defined by a base and a pair of parallel leg members so that the boy and the pair of fins extend into the bowl. The detachment may be detachably secured to the rim merely by the frictional engagement with the bracket, by suction cups attached to the bracket and pressed against the rim, or it may be permanently secured to the rim by discs glued to the bracket and the rim. The attachment is molded in one piece and composed of polymeric material.

Abstract: A spring insert for a waterbed mattress includes a plurality of spring bellows units arranged in upright relation within the mattress. Each bellows unit has a top wall and pleated sidewall which is collapsible from a normal expanded height to a shortened compressed height wherein the internal volume of the bellows unit is substantially reduced. Each bellows unit furthermore has a bleeder opening through one wall so that a compression load exerted on the bellows unit through the mattress top wall is resisted by both spring action and hydraulic action of the bellows units. The bellows units may be interconnected to form upper and lower sections arranged in stacked relation. Stacked pairs of upper and lower bellows units may be arranged in fluid communication to define joint hydraulic chambers.

By separating the limbs of the zig-zag tube, the cushions, or the cushion and pump assembly can be spaced apart at different distances to suit different applications. In one embodiment the lateral braces are formed with top and bottom steel members of relatively small size and which are notched to help maintain the girders in position. Side rail posts are affixed at the ends of the lateral braces for attachment of a guardrail or the like. The longitudinally positioned girders are not welded or weakened with bolt holes therethrough and the structure provides a convenient and economical bridge constructions for use with conventional timber or other decking.

Abstract: A stop is provided for maintaining a closing mechanism having a rod operable within a cylinder in an open position. The stop comprises a body portion having a central, longitudinally extending bore. The body portion is positionable on the rod by snapping the rod through a relatively smaller passage defined in the body portion into the bore, which is slightly larger in diameter than the rod. A thumbscrew is provided extending through the body portion into the bore so as to frictionally secure the stop at the desired location along the rod. A closure flap is provided for closing the passage so as to prevent accidental detachment of the body portion from the rod once in place.

The distance between the arms can be changed in such a way, that the arms remain essentially parallel at any distance from each other. The device is preferably installed after heat-shrinking.
