In one embodiment, the method comprises attaching the ribbon cable to a ribbon cable connector having an internal retaining mechanism, coupling the ribbon cable connector to a mating connector on the hardware device, and actuating the internal retaining mechanism so that the internal retaining mechanism engages the mating connector to thereby inhibit the mating connector from uncoupling from the hardware device. The method allows a user to easily and securely attach a ribbon cable to a hardware device.

The groove forms a strengthening ridge on the upper surface of the blade. A strengthening strap is fastened to the lower, front portion of the handle receiving tube and extends forwardly on the upper surface of the blade toward the front edge of the blade.

The tool is placed on the inclined surface so that the raised protrusion and at least one of the resilient members rests against the inclined surface and a reference edge is parallel to the plane of the surface and aligned to a pre-existing line to be matched with a parallel line.

The apparatus is a purge box added to a vapor etcher structure that surrounds a cassette of silicon wafers both before and after the vapor etch process. The box contains a continuous flow of nitrogen. A cassette of wafers is placed into the box which is designed to allow removal of an individual wafer for vapor etching and return of the wafer after etching and prior to a subsequent deposition step. The purge box includes a manifold for directing the flow of nitrogen into the box so that all wafers are constantly bathed in the nitrogen flow. The cassette of wafers remains in the purge box until transport to the next manufacturing step.

In another embodiment, the clothes dryer uses a combination of sensors to predict a percentage of moisture content and a degree of dryness of the clothing articles.

    Abstract: An air heating and control system, which in one application controls the diameter of a calender roll in the paper making process, includes a row of heater packs proximate to the various zones of the calender roll. Each heater pack has a plurality of electrical heating coils which are at least partially connected in parallel so that failure of one coil does not interrupt power to the remaining coils. Air flowing through the heating coils is heated to a desired temperature and impinges upon the calender roll to expand it as desired. A control system senses a defective coil, which effectively reduces current in a heater pack, and increases the voltage imposed upon that heater pack to again produce the desired power level or heating effect. Thus failure of a heating coil is immediately compensated for.

The shell is capable of being ruptured by massaging the pouch to allow the catalyst to be released from the shell and mixed with the material. A pressure sensitive adhesive is on the bottom of the pouch to secure it to the inner sole of a shoe, and a nylon layer is on the top of the pouch to absorb moisture and provide an aesthetic appearance. In use, the pouch is massaged to mix the catalyst and moldable material and is then placed in a shoe. The user places a foot in the shoe and applies a light weight to the foot so that the pouch assumes the shape of the foot bottom and fills that space between the foot and the shoe. Then, the foot is removed to allow the material to cure. When the material is cured the insert prevents excessive collapse of the foot.

The rib and the groove have the same radius centered on the pin whereby the rib moves freely in the groove.

The cage is defined by a housing having an opening therein with a door which is opened to allow an animal to enter the housing. A clock, having a second hand, minute hand, hour hand and an indicator hand that move with respect to a dial face, is secured to the housing. A lever responsive to the closure of the door activates a switch to stop the clock and provide an indication of the time that the door was closed by the location of the hour hand and indicator hand. If the indicator hand is located on the left hand side of the hour hand an animal was trapped within the first twelve hours after the trap was set and if the indicator hand is on the right hand side of the hour hand the animal was trapped more than twelve hours after the trap was set.
