Abstract: The invention is based on the common top of a two-piece swim- or sport suit which is usually held to the body of the wearer by a neck strap and a back strap. In order to offer more hold and therefore additional security, especially when the wearer is performing sporting activities, the invention features an additional strap system which effects that the tensile forces coming from the front of the garment are shifted to the back strap. Because of the additional distribution of the forces affecting the straps, especially when the body of the wearer is moving, increased comfort is gained as the straps do not cut into the wearer so much and the top is held to the body more tightly. Apart from that, the invention solves another problem of everyday life by including a little container is integrated in the described strap system. In the container, little items like keys, credit card or money can be carried.

Abstract: The liner according to the invention is designed such that the moisture barrier component of the liner may be easily separated from the garment for inspection, testing, repair or replacement. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, the moisture barrier is attached to the thermal barrier or the outer shell component by means of a heat and flame resistant slide fastener.

Abstract: A glove, that is adapted to be used on at least the shooting hand of a shooter of a fire arm, made up of a main body portion, that closely approximates the size and shape of a hand; a gauntlet that extends from the main body portion and is adapted to cover at least a portion of the fore arm of the glove wearer, and finger elements that extend from the main body portion in a direction opposite to the direction of the gauntlet. A first circumferential elastic member is disposed proximate to the juncture of the gauntlet and the main body portion and positioned so that, when worn, the first elastic member is adapted to be proximate to a wrist of the wearer; and wherein the gauntlet has a second elastic member disposed proximate to an end thereof that is remote from said the first portion. The main body portion of the glove is made up of a front portion that is intended to be proximate to the palm of the wearer, and a back portion that is intended to be proximate to a back of a wearer's hand.

Abstract: A method for attaching a custom logo to a glove is provided. The method utilizes, among other things, a pad printing method to print a custom logo onto a thermoplastic member and adhering the thermoplastic member to a blank glove. The method advantageously allows the customers to attached the logo to the glove away from the manufacturing site, and provides the customers with the flexibility of changing logos to meet changing market demands and to coordinate logos among the customers' various product lines.

Abstract: A glove assembly especially designed for use in low-temperature environments is disclosed. A characterizing feature of the invention resides in the finger sheaths incorporating areas of disparate insulation, namely a fingertip covering portion having an additional layer or layers of insulation in the form of a cot disposed within said shell. The areas between the cot and the root of the fingers incorporate a reduced number of layers of insulating material whereby constriction of blood flow to the fingertip areas is minimized and a high flexibility area is provided below the fingertip areas.

Abstract: A sports helmet includes relatively wide and deep lateral reliefs in the helmet for improved peripheral vision for a person wearing the helmet, while a face guard is formed with a series of closely spaced lateral bars thereacross for precluding insertion of the fingers or hand therein. The present helmet and face guard are particularly well suited for use in the game of football, but may be adapted for use in other contact sports as well. The present helmet greatly improves safety by providing a wider field of view for a player using the helmet, and the present face guard greatly reduces the opportunity for opposing players to use the face guard for restraining or tackling players, thereby greatly reducing injuries and increasing safety during play.

Abstract: A chemical protective hood designed to be worn over a respirator in a manner such that it is located between a helmet and the respirator. The hood has a skirt portion of filter barrier material containing an opening with edges configured to surround and fit against a respirator's facepiece. A top portion of the hood is formed of a thin single layer that fits under the helmet and is configured to match the curved inner surface of the helmet. The thin single layer allows the helmet to be comfortably donned without requiring any modification to be made to the helmet.

In addition, the device can contain an insulation layer to increase the comfort level of the device when used as a sleeping apparatus. The device can also contain a liner that prevents contaminants from the equipment from staining the interior of the device. In an alternative embodiment, the device can have a plurality of suspension structures for suspending the device above the ground when used as a sleeping apparatus.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing cellulose/cellulose triacetate fabrics. The method is characterized by the alkali treatment of a conjugated fabric comprising cellulose diacetate fibers with a degree of substitution of 2.0 to 2.75 and cellulose triacetate fibers with a degree of substitution of 2.75 or higher to convert the cellulose diacetate fibers into cellulose fibers.

Abstract: Lignin-containing fibrous materials, in particular paper and card, are treated with whiteness stabilizers for the purpose of reducing light-induced yellowing. The whiteness stabilizer are (i) thiols with at least one additional hydrophilic group from the series consisting of OH, NH2, NHR1m NR1R2, COOH, SO3H and PO3H2 and an amino acid/peptide structure (ii) thiols with a CC double bond (iii) or heteroaromatic thiols and (iv), heteroaromatic disulfides or polysulfides. HALS light stabilizers and/or UV stabilizers are advantageously additionally employed. The stability is increased further by a TiO2-containing coat on the fibrous material. Stabilzer compositions and fibrous material stabilized according to the invention, containing a whiteness stabilizer of group (i) to (iv) are also disclosed.

The ramp is raised and lowered by a control system which includes a pair of fluid actuators controlling pivotal movement of the ramp together with controls at both sides of the conveyor for adjusting a control valve controlling flow of fluid to and from the actuators. A latch mechanism is provided to hold the ramp in its raised position.

A suction source pulls air and entrained dirt, dust, and other contaminants through a main suction opening formed in the underside of the nozzle and into the cyclonic airflow chamber. The cyclonic airflow chamber causes the suction airstream to travel in a cyclonic path such that the entrained contaminants are separated therefrom and deposited into a dirt container that defines the chamber. A third elongated member is pivotally mounted at its inner end to the pivot plate and at its outer end extends outwardly to a normal position perpendicular to the wall for making contact with a swinging door. A means is associated with the pivot plate for releaseably locking the third member in its normal position. In use, the door stop remains in its normal position until the elongated tube is struck by an object, such as a vacuum cleaner or mop. The impact releases the third member from its locked position and allows it to swing about its pivot point on the pivot plate to an out of the way position substantially parallel to the wall.

The dolly wheel spindle is in communication with a dampening device so as to apply a resisting force to the dolly wheel spindle. Application of the resisting or braking force restricts or prevents free rotation of the dolly wheel about an axis defined by the dolly wheel spindle. The dampening device is in communication with a controller which causes the dampening device to apply the resisting or braking force or to remove application of the resisting or braking force upon demand to satisfy a variety of different conditions encountered with the vehicle operation considering functional implication of the dolly wheel assembly.

Abstract: A hinge assembly includes a base-side support member and a monitor-side bracket set being pivotally connected to each other at two pivot shafts on the base-side support member. Elastic washers and anti-skidding washers are sequentially put around the pivot shafts with a separate washer of a predetermined thickness disposed between any two adjacent components of the hinge assembly on the pivot shafts. The separate washer is made of a highly pressure-resistant and wear-resistant material, such as high-molecular polymers, including, for example, Teflon, nylon, ABS resin, PC, PW, Bakelite, or other materials having similar properties. When nuts are tightened against the pivot shafts to firmly lock the components on the pivot shafts together with a selected torque, the separate washers separate and prevent such components from direct and frictional contact with one another. Abstract: A clamp has two injection moulded tangs 1, 2 hinges together by a pin 3 and held closed by a wing nut 4 and a screw 5 having a cross-head 6. The tangs each have a tapered groove 7 running around inside them. In use, this groove engages flanges F on tubes T with a seal S therebetween to hold the tubes in sealing relationship with each other. The one tang 2 has a clevis 10 defined by two lugs 11. Each has an overhung recess 12 into which the cross-head 6 of the screw clips. A crossbar 14 connects the lugs remote from their tang, whereby the screw is limited in its angular displacement about the recesses 12, as shown in FIG. 3. The crossbar also stabilizes the lugs against relative displacement under load when the nut is tightened. The other tang 1 has a part conical formation 21 on lugs 22 defining a clevis 23 similar to clevis 10. The nut has a complementary conical recess 24. Engagement of the formation 21 in the recess 24 restrains the lugs from separating under load as the nut is tightened.
