Abstract: A wall paneling system is provided in which panels of various widths are pre-fabricated with raised moldings. The panels are thin enough to be easily cut, if necessary, and applied to a wall by an inexperienced installer with adhesive. Various chair rails and baseboards are provided. By providing the panels in different standard widths, they can be easily pieced together to cover walls of any length, thereby enabling an inexperienced installer to easily complete the lower wall paneling of an entire room. Corner moldings are provided to cover any gaps where the panels meet in corners of a room.

Abstract: A laminated shingle simulates a tiled roof when placed with other similar shingles on a roof deck. The laminated shingle includes an overlay member and an underlay member fixedly attached to each other. The overlay member includes an upper or headlap portion and a lower or exposed butt portion with one or more substantially identically shaped tabs with a cutout between each tab. The lower edge of the tabs may have a curving or negative contour. The tabs may taper in width from the butt edge to the lower edge of the headlap portion. The upper edge of the cutouts may have a generally straight contour or a generally curved contour. The lower edge of the underlay member may have a generally straight contour or a portion of the lower edge may have a generally curving contour. The overlay member and/or underlay member may include a darker shading area to enhance the tile simulating aspect of the shingle.

One form of the apparatus has a substantially U-shaped aperture formed therein for avoiding the studs when clipped on a siding plank. Another form of the apparatus has a second up side down U-shaped receiving member for being clipped on factory created end joints which may meet at any location on the wall without regard to the studs to form a joint.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of construction of a wall (40) from first, second and end modules (10, 20, 30) each forming part of the wall. The method includes assembly of two modules being first, end or first and end modules (10, 30) having portions forming part of the wall (40) by aligning these modules (10) in a desired alignment and connecting them together with connection means (50) to form a supporting structure (200) for second modules (20). The connection means (50) has a tie portion (51) generally extending in the direction of the alignment. The tie portion (51) has a portion corresponding with connection portions (26) of a second module (20) and cooperation of the corresponding tie portion (58), extending between guides (56) formed as part of the tie portion (51), with the connection portions (26) connects the second module (20) to the supporting structure (200). In such manner, a portion of a wall (40) may be constructed.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a sheet metal leg retaining anchor having an upturned perimeter flange edge. The perimeter edge includes a plurality of holes there through and a threaded nut is secured centrally thereof. In the illustrative embodiment the anchor is placed within a roto-molded mold for the particular leg supported structure/cabinet being produced therein. The upturned perimeter flange edges are oriented to extend into the mold, that is, in the opposite direction from what will be the bottom end of the structure/cabinet from which the legs will extend. The bin is then formed by the roto-molding process whereby the plastic material flows over and around the exposed surfaces of the anchor. Specifically, the plastic flows through the holes in the perimeter flange edges providing for a strong mechanical locking or securing of the anchor to and with the plastic structure/cabinet. The legs are threadably engaged with the anchor and firmly anchored thereby to the structure/cabinet.

Abstract: Thin metal anchoring plates provide mechanical bonding between flooring materials such as concrete and plywood. Teeth punched from the metal plates and bent at right angles on the topside form anchorage for the concrete slab and metal screws anchor the metal plate to the plywood subfloor. The metal anchoring plates allow a thin layer of concrete to form a composite section with residential floor construction and to stay in compression—a state in which cracking cannot occur in concrete. Thus, two inherent problems associated with concrete—it's heavy weight and propensity for cracking are solved and thus, allow it now to be used for residential seamless flooring that can be colored, stamped, and textured, for years of low maintenance fire resistant use.

Abstract: A panel for forming a masonry wall on a building surface, comprising a back face for covering the building surface, opposite edges and a front face with a predetermined pattern of first and second depressions. The first depressions are shaped and sized for receiving masonry pieces as a whole whereas the second depressions, which intersect the opposite edges, are shaped and sized for receiving parts of masonry pieces, so that, when the panel is mounted side by side with a complementary panel, some masonry pieces bridge both panels by means of the second depressions. The panel makes it possible for an unskilled worker to build relatively rapidly a masonry work having a complex predetermined pattern of masonry pieces. Thanks to the second depressions that make it possible for some pieces of masonry to bridge panels mounted side by side, the general arrangement of pieces, when completed does not look like a series of individual panels but rather look continuous.
