Publication number: 20030084797Abstract: A screen printing apparatus in which a squeegee head 13 is moved on a mask plate 12 thereby to print paste on a substrate through pattern holes 12a, slide contact portions 37A and 37B form respectively front and rear walls in the squeegeeing direction of a printing space 35 which reserves cream solder 5 therein and makes the cream solder contact with the surface of the mask plate 12 through an opening portion formed at the lower surface thereof. Each of the slide-contact portions is configured by a partition plate 39 for partitioning between the printing space 35 and the outside and a filling block 38 having a filling surface 38a which forms an acute angle with respect to the surface of the mask plate 12. Publication number: 20030084841Abstract: The invention concerns a method which consists in maintaining the two ends (2, 4) of the bar (1) on the end supports (3, 5) of a frame (10), one of the ends (2) being maintained fixed, and in driving the bar in rotation. The invention is characterised in that it consists further in drawing the bar (1) while spraying a coat on the bar, the drawing of the bar corresponding to an elongation of about 0.2 to 0.001%.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2001Publication date: May 8, 2003Inventors: Christian Coddet, Bernard Hansz

Publication number: 20030084842Abstract: The invention pertains to a pressure chamber scraper for application of a liquid medium onto a rotating drum, said pressure chamber scraper having an axially extending scraper head, that together with an axially extending dosing scraper touching the mantle surface of the drum and with a sealing scraper forms a chamber in the circumferential direction, in said chamber there is an axially extending displacement element to form a pressure compartment and an outlet compartment and leaving an application gap to the mantle surface of the drum, and the liquid medium for wetting of the mantle surface flows through said gap, wherein the medium is supplied through an inlet opening into the pressure compartment. According to the invention, it is proposed that the displacement element and scraper head have mutually facing contact surfaces which bound at least one gap between them which opens into the pressure compartment and connects it to the inlet opening, so that the medium can move into the pressure compartment.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2002Publication date: May 8, 2003Inventors: Bernd Martens, Sadan Deral, Wolfram Szczepaniak, Nils Hansen

Publication number: 20030084843Abstract: The present invention is a foam applicator system for applying foam to a tissue web. The foam applicator system comprises a foam applicator capable of applying a liquid-based composition to a tissue web. The foam applicator includes an extrusion head comprising a first nozzle bar and a second nozzle bar and having an inner surface and an outer surface. A first end of a flexible scraper is operatively associated with the first nozzle bar of the extrusion head. A second end of the flexible scraper outward from the first end of the flexible scraper. The foam applicator system may also comprise a vacuum slot positioned opposing the extrusion head with the tissue web therebetween.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2001Publication date: May 8, 2003Inventors: Joseph George Capizzi, Strong C. Publication number: 20030084844Abstract: An apparatus and a method for applying a fluid are provided which enable an application amount of the fluid to be stabilized even at a fluid discharge start part and a fluid discharge end part. There are provided an application head and a control unit, whereby an operational control is carried out so that a discharge member is rotated and moved in a discharge direction along an axial direction of the discharge member when the fluid is to be discharged, while the rotation of the discharge member is stopped and the discharge member is moved in a direction opposite to the discharge direction when the discharge is to be stopped. The application amount of the fluid to be applied can be stabilized even at the fluid discharge start part and the fluid discharge end part.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 30, 2002Publication date: May 8, 2003Inventors: Hiroshi Yamauchi, Hidenobu Nishikawa, Takashi Sonoda, Teruo Maruyama, Shuji Ono

Publication number: 20030084845Abstract: A dispensing system and method for dispensing material onto a substrate. The dispensing system includes a frame, a support, coupled to the frame, that supports the substrate at a dispensing position in the dispensing system, and a dispensing head, coupled to the frame, that dispenses the material onto the substrate. The dispensing head includes a motor unit having a first motor coupled to an output drive mechanism, and a dispensing unit, removably coupled to the motor unit, having a material outlet from which the dispensing material is dispensed, the dispensing unit having a dispensing mechanism coupled to the material outlet and coupled to the output drive mechanism of the motor unit such that operation of the first motor causes the dispensing mechanism to dispense material through the outlet. The dispensing head may be controlled for deposition of dots of material having diameters smaller than a dispensing needle of the dispensing unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 16, 2002Publication date: May 8, 2003Inventors: Thomas C.
