Abstract: An automatic washing system and apparatus for tall building, comprising: a winding device, provided at the top of a tall building for the winding of a cable; a washing device, connected to the control side of the cable and controlled to lift up and down along the outside surface of tall building, a powered roller with brush or fabrics strips attached therewith being provided at the front side of washing device; a forced draft generating device, including a plurality of fan provided at the rear side of said washing device to discharge the air in a direction that is opposite to the outside surface of tall building, so that the negative wind pressure generated relative to the washing device can force the powered rolled at the front side against the outside surface of tall building. In this way, the outside surface of a tall building can be efficiently cleaned by the automatic washing system and apparatus of present invention.

Abstract: A conventional method for the production of a composite non-woven fibre from at least one spun non-woven fibre and subsequent application of a wood pulp layer to the above for production of a hygiene product is known. Accordingly, the spunbonded non-woven fibre is hydrodynamically needled, before the application of the pulp layer, in order to increase the fluid dispersion properties. Consequently, the pulp layer can no longer be needled, as the pulp would be washed out through the non-woven fibre. Due to the required abrasion resistance a bonding of the non-woven fibre is, however, necessary. According to the invention, the above problem is resolved, whereby a non-woven fibre is compressed or calendered with compressed air, as a pre-bonding treatment, before coating with the super-absorbent material, then the woodpulp layer is applied and both are bonded with a hydrodynamic water needling, followed by drying. A further calandering can be added.

Abstract: The stud replacement kit of the present invention operates by supplying force to the inside portion of a damaged stud and pushing that stud forward and out of the wheel. The kit of the present invention comprises a pressure tool that supplies force to a stud. This pressure tool fit around the wheel, damaged stud, and a spacer that fit between the front of the wheel and the pressure tool. This spacer serves primarily to receiving the stud once removed. In operation, the broken or damaged stud is removed by placing the pressure tool and spacer around the stud to be replaced. A stud screw mechanism in the pressure tool is rotated to cause the tool to apply force to the stud primarily on the backside of the wheel. This force is increased until it overcomes the force that holds the stud in the wheel. At this point, the force of the pressure tool on the stud causes the stud to move in the desired direction for removal.

This is particularly of use where there are any intervening thermal cycles, and the thermal temperature coefficients of expansion for the chip/die and any substrate/mount are significantly different. This will allow the utilization of otherwise more desirable materials for the substrate in spite of some mismatch in thermal coefficients that may exist between the substrate and chips.

A heat sink matrix, which is dividable into a plurality of individual heat sinks, is attached to an IC package matrix, which is comprised of a plurality of individual IC packages abutting each other in a matrix arrangement. The IC package matrix and the heat sink matrix attached thereto are then simultaneously cut by means of a machine tool into a plurality of individually formed IC packages each with a heat sink attached; thereby, thermal conductivity of a conventional IC package is enhanced.

Abstract: A method of retrofitting a gas turbine wherein the gas turbine comprises a stator and a rotor. The rotor is coaxially aligned with the stator and spaced apart from the stator so as to define a gap therebetween. The method of retrofitting comprises fixedly securing a sealing member to the stator. The sealing member is configured to restrict a flow of a fluid medium in a fluid path across the gap and generate a pressure drop generally transverse to the gap during operation of the gas turbine.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of repairing a turbine nozzle segment having one or more vanes disposed between outer and inner bands. The method includes separating at least one of the outer and inner bands from the vanes. The vanes are cut through in close proximity to the band being replaced. A newly manufactured replacement band including protruding vane stubs is provided for each one of the original bands being replaced. The replacement band is attached to the vanes by welding.

Abstract: A ball valve is produced, which has a valve housing 10 and a ball 20. A pair of mirror-symmetrical housing halves 12, 14 are jointed together along a single weld line. The housing halves are jointed together by welding in a manner to enclose the ball previously provided with a through bore and a pair of recessed portions. The through bore 22 of the ball is arranged to be in conformity with the weld line. Holes 42, 50 for respectively mounting a pair of stem assemblies are formed by machining respectively in those portions of the valve housing opposed respectively to open opposite ends of the through bore. The centers of the holes are in alignment with the operational centerline of the ball valve. The ball is turned by an angle of 90 degrees, thereby bringing the through bore of the ball into alignment with openings 12A, 14A of the valve housing, and the recessed portions 26, 28 of the ball are brought into alignment with the holes, respectively.

The blade is preferably V or U-shaped and permanently or removably supported by the limbs (12) of a Y-shaped body with an extending hand grip (11). The blade may be made from a single piece or from multiple segments with straight or curved cutting edges. The blade of blade segments may be fixed, such as by an adhesive, to a supporting carrier. Guard projections may extend from behind the cutting edge to beyond the cutting edge to reduce the likelihood of inadvertent contact with the blade edge while maintaining effective cutting action. In a method of use, the hair dressing device is manipulated so that the blade partly surrounds a cluster of hair strands and the device is moved to cut at least some of the strands of hair.
