Abstract: A rotating drum in which, when the rotating drum is rotated at high speed, there is no offset between divisional drum parts, there is little imbalance, and a moment of inertia for rotation is small. A drum main body is divided into four drum parts whose cross-sectional configurations orthogonal to an axis are fan-shaped. Female projecting portions and male projecting portions are formed at a pitch dimension having a predetermined fit-together tolerance. Thus, the drum parts can be assembled together with a certain amount of leeway at a time of assembly. After the four drum parts have been assembled together, wires are press-fit in from an end surface side of the drum main body so as to tightly fasten the drum parts. Because the assembled drum main body defines configurations of the drum parts to have point symmetry, imbalance can be made small.

The said ammunition unit comprises cylindrical warhead charges (4, 5) that confine or form explosive compositions (23), on or around the outside of which there are effect layers or casing containing effect elements (25, 27). These effect elements together with the explosive compositions (24) constitute the combatant function. Two or more cylindrical warhead charges (4, 5) are arranged essentially parallel alongside each other or inside each other. Each of the cylindrical warhead charges comprises effect layers around their cylindrical outer surface that provide different effects in target. The cylindrical warhead charges are rotatably arranged to assume different rotational setting modes, and in each such mode the same type or co-ordinated types of effect layers are directed outwards.

Abstract: An apparatus for producing large diameter monocrystalline Group III-V, II-VI compounds that have reduced crystal defect density, improved crystal growth yield, and improved bulk material characteristics. The apparatus comprises a crucible or boat, an ampoule that contains the crucible or boat, a heating unit disposed about the ampoule, and a liner disposed between the heating unit and the ampoule. The liner is preferably composed of a quartz material. When the liner and the ampoule are made of the same material, such as quartz, the thermal expansion coefficients of the liner and ampoule are the same, which significantly increases the lifetime of the liner and the single-crystal yield.

Abstract: This invention relates to a method and a device (01) for coating the interior wall (14) of a pipe (02) with a curable compound, a spraying device (04) being provided on the device (01) by means of which a directed stream (10) of curable compound can be produced. A centrifugal device (05) which is driven to rotate is provided on the device (01), the stream (10) of the curable compound being directed at the centrifugal device (05), so that the curable compound is thrown by the centrifugal device (05) against the inside wall (14) of the pipe (02) because of the rotational force produced by the rotation.

Abstract: An object of the invention is to provide a mechanism and method for supporting a substrate to be coated with a film, which enables transporting a substrate coated with a thin film, out of a film forming apparatus without damaging the substrate or the thin film. A support mechanism is provided with a stage, a shaft member, and support pins. When the substrate is placed on the stage which is held in a horizontal state, the shaft member is rotated so that the stage is lifted up to a film forming position where a substrate bearing surface of the stage becomes a substantially vertical. After film formation has been carried out at the film forming position, an actuator is driven so as to move the support pins provided in the stage. Accordingly, cracks and chips in the substrate as well as peeling-off of the thin film can be almost completely prevented.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for breeding of insects for therapeutic application of secretions of fly larvae (maggots) on a wound. The device includes an application container for receiving the fly eggs. The fly larvae from the egg stage up to the maggot stage is develop inside the application container and the maggots are grown until they secrete a therapeutically active secretion. The application container is maintain under development conditions influenced in a controlled manner which retard the further development of the eggs for storage. The application container includes fluid transmissive walls that allow the passing of secretions produced by the maggot through the walls of the application container into the wound but prevents passage of the maggots enclosed in the application container. In addition, the device of the present invention includes an incubation container to maintain the eggs in controlled incubating conditions.
