Th rotors outer circumferential arrayed poles are rigidly secured to the frame of the radial blower. The stator of the motor is rigidly secured to the heat sink and has an opening in its center. The stator comprises circumferential arrayed coils on circuit board material. When the current flows through the stator coils, the coils acquire a magnetic polarity. Abstract: A heat exchanger including inlet and outlet header portions for a refrigerant (such as CO2), serpentine multiport tubes each with a plurality of aligned tube runs, and at least three plate assembly fluid paths. Each plate assembly fluid path includes a pair of spaced plates secured together at their edges to define an enclosed space with a fluid inlet and fluid outlet on opposite sides of the space. One plate of one fluid path is positioned against first aligned tube runs, one plate of a second of the fluid paths is positioned against second aligned tube runs, and a third fluid path is positioned between the first and second aligned tube runs. The plates may be substantially identical to one another.

Abstract: A fin-tube block type heat exchanger in which extruded tubes are alternatingly arranged with corrugated fins, the fins being shorter in overall length than the tubes and having elongated bars at their ends serving as spacer bars between the tubes. The side walls of the spacer bar preferably taper towards each other such that the thickness of the spacer bar at the inner wall is less than the thickness of the spacer bar at the outer wall. The side walls include one or more recesses or grooves extending lengthwise with the spacer bar into which low temperature melting alloy is captively inserted. During brazing, the alloy melts and is drawn by capillary action into the space created between the tapered side walls of the spacer bar and the facing surfaces of the adjacent tubes so that a complete joint is formed between the spacer bar and the adjacent tubes.

Abstract: A dual evaporator air conditioning system and method for use therewith to cool air in front and rear portions of a cabin of a vehicle. The dual evaporator air conditioning system includes primary and auxiliary HVAC units to cool the air in the front and rear portions of the cabin, respectively. The dual evaporator air conditioning system also includes a control system having cooling and non-cooling modes for each of the HVAC units. The control system automatically activates a heating element near the auxiliary evaporator in response to the auxiliary HVAC unit being in the non-cooling mode while the primary HVAC unit is in the cooling mode. The heating element heats the refrigerant in the auxiliary evaporator to prevent accumulation of liquid refrigerant and lubricating oil in the auxiliary evaporator when the auxiliary HVAC unit is in the non-cooling mode while the primary HVAC unit is in the cooling mode.

Abstract: A well testing system and well testing method is described which can be operated as a closed system with no production of hydrocarbons outside the well or gas can be separated and flared at surface giving minimal environmental impact with the liquid hydrocarbon being re-injected. This is achieved by providing a string with at least two well conduits which may be arranged in a concentric or non-concentric parallel configuration. One conduit is used to produce formation fluids to surface or to produce/store unrepresentative initial flow products and the other conduit is used to store formation fluid. The storage conduit can be filled from the top (surface) or the bottom of the well. In a preferred arrangement a valve is provided between the storage conduit and the well annulus for well pressure control, and a shut-in or test valve, which is controllable from surface, is disposed in the non-storage production conduit.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of determining the extent of recovery of materials injected into oil wells or subsurface formations. The method includes injection of one or more tracers into an oil well or into a formation. Included in the method are the steps of introducing a material of interest into the oil well or into the subsurface formation associated with the bore of the oil well; introducing a tracer into the oil well or into the subsurface formation associated with the bore of the oil well; recovering from the oil well a production fluid, analyzing the production fluid for a concentration of the chemical tracer present in the production fluid; and calculating the amount of material of interest recovered from the oil well using the concentration of the chemical tracer present in the production fluid as a basis for the calculation.

Abstract: A method for the treatment of a subterranean formation penetrated by a well in which, first and second flow paths are established from the wellhead into the vicinity of the formation. A plugging fluid comprising a suspension of a particulate plugging agent in a carrier liquid is circulated into the first flow path and into contact with the wall of the well within the subterranean formation. The carrier liquid is separated from the particulate plugging agent by circulating the carrier liquid through a set of openings leading to the second flow path, which are dimensioned to allow the passage of the carrier liquid while retaining the particulate plugging agent in contact with the set of openings. The circulation of the plugging fluid continues until the particulate plugging agent accumulates to form a bridge packing within the well.
