Abstract: Disclosed is a high-definition liquid crystal display device wherein a video signal applied to the pixel electrode is compensated for a gain decrease in a high frequency range. A video signal processing circuit includes an inversion processing circuit which outputs at least one video signal inputted to a source driver circuit. The inversion processing circuit includes an amplifier and has function of amplification and inversion. A peaking processing circuit is connected to an amplifier in the inversion processing circuit. Even if a video signal frequency fvid is in a high range of the amplifier, the amplifier gain is increased up to an middle range value (frequency range that the gain becomes constant). Because the peaking circuit compensates for characteristics of the liquid crystal panel, it is possible for the inversion processing circuit to apply an alternating current signal reproduced with fidelity of a potential determined by a correction circuit to the liquid crystal cell.

Abstract: In a multi-window display device, the following has been merely performed: before data for plural screens is inputted to a display, video signals themselves are subjected to signal processing, and the processed video signals are inputted to the display, whereby display is performed. Therefore, a circuit for performing signal processing, for example, an IC has a complicated structure since video signals for plural screens are stored in a memory. There is provided a pixel structure in which: signal lines for plural screens are arranged; and one of the signal lines is selected to supply a video signal to a display element. For example, in the case of performing display of two screens, there is provided a pixel structure in which: two signal lines, which are inputted with respective video signals for a first screen and a second screen, are arranged; and one of the signal lines is selected to supply a video signal from the selected signal line to a display element.

Furthermore, conventional touch screen displays are easily damaged, and, once damaged, the entire touch screen is replaced. To address these concerns, a touch panel includes anti-reflective coatings on the surfaces of the top plate and the base plate that are open to the air. These coatings substantially reduce reflections and make the touch screen easier to read in direct sunlight. In particular, the anti-reflective coating used on the upper surface of the base plate is dielectric in nature to reduce reflectivity even further. This dielectric coating includes openings to an underlying conductive layer so that an electrical contact is made when a user deflects the top plate into the base plate. The display system is also constructed so that a removable drawer containing the electronic components can be removed for servicing without the need for transport of the entire display system.

Abstract: Updating a spatial partitioning data structure during run-time in an efficient manner includes several pre-processing steps. Pre-processing includes generating a first spatial partitioning data structure for a model at a first resolution, generating a second spatial partitioning data structure for the model at a second resolution, analyzing the first and second spatial partitioning data structures to identify differences between spatial partitioning of the model at the first and second resolutions, and storing the differences in a spatial partitioning update data structure. This pre-processing may be repeated for one or more pairs of successive resolutions of the model. Subsequently, during run-time, the model's resolution may be changed from the first resolution to the second resolution. In response, a spatial partitioning data structure corresponding to the first resolution may be updated using the spatial partitioning update data structure to reflect the change in resolution of the model.

Abstract: A method for generating a mesh of an object for three-dimensional analysis includes an outer-region-element-generating step of determining a distance to which each of triangles created on the surface of the object is to be projected toward the inside of the object, and generating a pentahedral element in an outer region of the object by projecting the triangle for the determined distance. In this step, the distance for which each triangle is projected decreases as the thickness of the object at the position corresponding to the triangle decreases. Accordingly, the precision of the analysis can be increased without increasing the processing time.

Parametric curves are constructed and associated with geometric models, while at the same time the properties are used to represent the underlying mechanism of deformation. This method includes the steps of building parametrical representations on a geometric model, associating vertices of the model with different ones of the parametrical representations to effect movement thereof, and animating movement of the vertices to simulate relative motion therebetween.
