Abstract: A fiber web forming apparatus which utilizes a fiber mixing chamber which in operation receives fibers from a plurality of sources along with a chemical agent, generally a bonding agent. The mixing chamber acts to further open and blend the fibers and also to blend the chemical agent with the fibers before the forming of the fiber web.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of black walnut tree (Juglans nigra L.) which is distinctly characterized by extremely rapid growth rate, fairly strong central stem tendency, thereby producing good timber qualities. The new variety has poor nut bearing qualities. Nut crops are erratic. Nut-bearing begins late in the life of the tree. This new variety of black walnut tree was discovered by the applicant near West Lafayette, Ind. in a black walnut planting of seedling progeny from aa previously selected tree for outstanding timber producing potential. This selection has been designated as BW 504, a seedling progeny of BW 36 in records maintained by the applicant on the performance of the selection and grafts made from the selection and will be known henceforth as Beineke 10.
Abstract: A new and distinct Hemerocallis cultivar of the dormant type named ‘Just Plum Happy’ is provided. The new cultivar is very floriferous and forms attractive multi-colored blossoms over an extended period of time that commonly beings during mid- to late-June and commonly ends during mid-October in U.S.D.A. Hardiness Zone No. 6. The blossoms are bright flesh pink with a dark purple eye and a picotee edge. The new plant readily forms fans and readily forms a number of scapes per fan. The new cultivar is particularly well suited for growing as distinctive colorful ornamentation in the landscape.
