    Abstract: A vacuum storage device includes a can, a cap for closing the can, an inflatable seal for better sealing a gap between the can and the cap and a pump for pumping air from the can to the exterior and into the seal. The cap includes a collar and a disk formed on an internal face of the collar, thus defining an upper space in the collar above the disk for receiving the pump and a lower space in the collar under the disk for receiving the seal. The cap may include an annular rib formed on a lower side of the disk, and the seal may be installed between the collar and the annular rib. The annular rib may include an annular flange for retaining the seal in position. The pump may include a first duct and a second duct. The first duct extends through an orifice defined in the disk within the annular rib so that air can be pumped from the can through the duct when the cap is mounted on the can.

The alloying additives are selected for phase stability and to retard agglomeration. The alloying additives most efficient in retarding agglomeration are most efficient in producing silicides with low sheet resistance.

    Abstract: An array of strips is affixed to a transfer sheet, with the strips uniformly spaced apart. Each strip has a transparent plastic film with an adhesive coating on both sides of the strip. A release layer is affixed each film. A strip is peeled from the transfer sheet o that the adhesive coating is exposed. The user then presses a strip against an item of furniture in a typical area where a cat may tend to “sharpen” its claws. Finally, the release layer is peeled from the strip, thereby exposing the other adhesive coating. When a cat attempts to scratch the furniture, its paw contacts and receives an unpleasant sticking sensation from the exposed adhesive coating, deterring the cat from future contact with that item of furniture. Another embodiment has a rigid substrate with an adhesive side and a release layer. After the release layer is peeled from the strip, the adhesive is exposed and the strip is placed on the soil of a potted houseplant.

The polyurethane coated greige is then contacted with the secondary backing before complete polymerization to insure sufficient tack to hold the backings together. Sufficient water is applied through application of steam after the polyurethane components are applied to the greige to completely cure the polyurethane without a curing oven.

    Abstract: A retaining member for a polishing head in a CMP apparatus comprises a bottom surface with silicon carbide. Due to the superior characteristics of silicon carbide, a low wear rate of the retaining member is secured, wherein, additionally, accumulation of electrostatic charges is substantially avoided due to the conductivity of silicon carbide. Consequently, cost of ownership is reduced, while at the same time process stability over a large number of substrates is increased.

    Abstract: An FPD fabricating apparatus according to the present invention comprises two chambers of a process chamber 130 and a transfer chamber 120.     Abstract: The present invention discloses a paper web with a highly textured surface and a method of forming the highly textured web. The process includes printing a viscous material onto the surface of a paper web in a pattern with a low pressure printing process.
