Abstract: A collapsible handle device for inflator comprises an air cylinder having a shaft lever and a hollow grip, in which one end of the shaft lever is connected to a piston inside the air cylinder, and the other end is provided with a rotation body, which is pivotally jointed with the grip. A channel, wider than the diameter of the shaft lever, is formed in the lateral wall of the grip. The air cylinder could be inserted in the grip so as to reduce the volume of the inflator, or the air cylinder could be pulled out from the grip, then turned 180° to form a straight line with the shaft lever, such that a user may hold the air cylinder with his one hand and operate the shaft lever in axial direction to pump air out through an air vent at one end of the air cylinder.

Abstract: For the manufacture of multilayer actuators, the laminate is split into several actuators, which are pyrolized and then sintered. Because lamination in the unsintered body often produces non-homogeneity in the density, and the shrinkage during the firing of the ceramic is not of a constant value, the final geometry of the actuators can only be accurately obtained by the hardening of the sintered actuators. But in this case the internal electrode layers deposited in the actuators are thereby also processed, which can cause electrical flashovers and leakage currents during operation.

Specifically, the method includes one-piece casting by a casting means to form a disk part and a pre-rim part from a certain aluminum alloy, and spinning the pre-rim part formed from the aluminum alloy by the one-piece casting step to form a rim part of a specified shape. Preferably, the method uses gravity-type casting as the casting method by the casting step. Abstract: A utility knife including: a body defining an interior cavity, and a blade carriage slidably disposed within the cavity. The blade carriage is configured for removably receiving at least one blade, and is at least partially slidably removable from the cavity, thereby allowing facile replacement of the blade. In one embodiment, the carriage may receive first and second blades, each of which is extensible from an associated end of the body. A utility knife blade including dual cutting edges and cutting points is also provided.

Abstract: A tool that comprises first and second cooperating members, each of the first and second cooperating members comprising at least a jaw section and a handle. The first and second cooperating members are detachably interconnected in a mutually overlapping relationship so as to permit movement of the jaw sections relative to one another by the handles. A first blade comprises at least a first and a second edge and the first edge is counterposed to the second edge across a longitudinal axis of the blade. The first blade is removably juxtaposed to the jaw section of the first cooperating member. A third edge is juxtaposed to the jaw section of said second cooperating member.

The drive unit is coupled to the housing at one of its ends and the circular cutting disc is attached to the drive unit's second end. Handles are attached to either side of the drive unit for controlling the device. The wall cutter enables cutting through of walls, ceilings and other substantially planar objects without previous invasion of the object.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for inspecting wheel alignment employ an optical target mounted on a wheel of a motor vehicle, a support mounting a camera above ground for generating image information of the optical target that falls within the camera's field of view, and a pivotal connection between the camera and the support,. The pivotal connection allows vertical pivotation of the camera through a range of pivotation sufficient to maintain the target in the field of view of the camera during displacement of the vehicle between raised and lowered positions of a vehicle lift carrying the vehicle. Images of the target captured by the camera are analysed to generate wheel alignment information.

Abstract: A process for determining the alignment of a cylindrical body with respect to a reference direction by means of a measurement device which has a first and a second attachment area and a position measurement probe which is calibrated to the reference direction and is made for detecting a first angle of rotation of the probe around a first axis fixed in space and a second angle of rotation of the probe around a second axis fixed in space. A first measurement and a second measurement is carried out at different areas of the body, the probe being swung in contact with the peripheral surface of the body relative to the first attachment area to measure a characteristic of the first and the second angle of rotation. A comparison of the characteristic of measurements is used to determine the alignment of the body with respect to the reference direction.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for making particles comprising: (a) spraying an emulsion, solution, or suspension, which comprises a solvent and a bulk material (e.g., a pharmaceutical agent), through an atomizer and into a primary drying chamber, having a drying gas flowing therethrough, to form droplets comprising the solvent and bulk material dispersed in the drying gas; (b) evaporating, in the primary drying chamber, at least a portion of the solvent into the drying gas to solidify the droplets and form particles dispersed in drying gas; and (c) flowing the particles and at least a portion of the drying gas through a jet mill to deagglomerate or grind the particles. By coupling spray drying with “in-line” jet milling, a single step process is created from two separate unit operations, and an additional collection step is advantageously eliminated. The one-step, in-line process has further advantages in time and cost of processing.
