  • Patent number: 6815059
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a foil of synthetic material composed of a first synthetic compound and a second synthetic compound, in which the first synthetic compound consists of a polymer and the second synthetic compound consists of a plastomer. The invention also relates to a synthetic fibre and to an artificial lawn suitable for sports fields, consisting of a substrate to which synthetic fibres according to the invention are fixed. Surprisingly, it has become apparent that when the fibres are according to the invention made from a combination of synthetic materials in which the first synthetic compound is a polymer and the second synthetic compound is a plastomer, the fibres will only exhibit a very minor any tendency to split, or even no such tendency at all, not even after stretching, also in the case of very intensive use in an artificial lawn.

  • Patent number: 6815077
Abstract: A method to create a low resistivity P+ in-situ doped polysilicon film at low temperature from SiH4 and BCl3 with no anneal required. At conventional dopant concentrations using these source gases, as deposition temperature decreases below about 550 degrees C., deposition rate decreases and sheet resistance increases, making production of a high-quality film impossible. By flowing very high amounts of BCl3, however, such that the concentration of boron atoms in the resultant film is about 7×1020 or higher, the deposition rate and sheet resistance are improved, and a high-quality film is produced.

Abstract: A perpendicular magnetic recording medium, which has a low level of recording noise and sufficiently large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy energy relative to demagnetizing field energy, includes a substrate and a multi-layered magnetic film. The multi-layered magnetic film is composed of ferromagnetic metal layers of Co alloy containing at least Cr and non-magnetic metal layers of Pd alloy, each one layer of which are laminated alternately on top of one layer of the other. The ferromagnetic metal layers and the non-magnetic metal layers have a thickness of d1 and d2, respectively, with the ratio of d1/d2 being in the range of 1.5 to 4.0. This specific layer structure reduces the magnetic exchange interaction between magnetic particles in the multi-layered magnetic film. • Patent number: 6815096
Abstract: There is disclosed a soft magnetic thin film represented by a composition formula of Fea1·Cob1·Cc1·Od1. In this case, atomic % values of the a1 to d1 respectively satisfy the following: 51.0≦a1≦95.0, 5 0≦b1≦49.0, 0.5≦c1≦10.0, 0.5≦d1≦20.0, a1+b1+c1+d1=100 Thus, it is possible to improve a characteristic of a thin film magnetic head by achieving a high saturation magnetic flux density, suppressing an increase in an anisotropic magnetic field caused by increased concentration of oxygen, and preventing a reduction in permeability.

  • Patent number: 6815098
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium comprises, on a substrate, a soft magnetic layer, a first seed layer, a second seed layer, and a recording layer having an artificial lattice structure. The first seed layer contains oxide of Fe. The second seed layer contains one of Pd and Pt, Si, and N. The magnetic exchange coupling force in the in-plane direction of the recording layer is weakened by the first seed layer and the second seed layer. Accordingly, minute recording magnetic domains can be formed in the recording layer, and the magnetization transition area is distinct as well. Even when information is recorded at a high density, the information can be reproduced with low noise. A magnetic storage apparatus, which is provided with such a magnetic recording medium, makes it possible to achieve an areal recording density of 150 gigabits/square inch.
