Publication number: 20050086872Abstract: There are several advantages to installing roof insulation in industrial and commercial buildings from above, rather than from below after the roof is sealed. A reinforced facing sheet is used that can be rolled out between the purlins that support the steel roofing. This reinforced facing material is located at the bottom of an insulation system and is used to support the insulation from below. The reinforced facing sheet must be anchored to reduce pillowing of the insulation and provide a neat appearance to the insulation job. The anchoring system for the reinforced facing material is made up of a metal angle that is firmly affixed to the top of a rafter between purlins. The reinforced facing material is, thus, sandwiched between the angle and the rafter top, and securely anchored, there. A channel-shaped lower support member, usually vinyl, is located beneath the reinforced facing material and the angle is pressed, from above, into the open part of the channel shape as it is situated on top if the rafter.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 16, 2004Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventor: Robert Fligg

Publication number: 20050086874Abstract: The essence of this invention is the allocation and use of space, both floor space and available volume, within the structure. The invention exists to create what is essentially a stacked array of building sites and internal passageways for subsequent build-out as housing, offices, stores and myriad other uses. The structure is intended to be built on such a scale as to provide space for an entire community, meeting its needs for residential, commercial, and public uses, while preserving potential open green space around the structure to a degree unheralded in the history of urban development. As a necessary consequence, such uses of this invention will result in reduced consumption of energy and other resources, reduced output of pollutants, and increased availability of free time to its residents.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2003Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventor: Roy Diehl

In the method and apparatus, a fastener is attached to a moving flat web of plastic film, preferably in the direction of web movement and near the center of the web. A plurality of sliders are mounted to the fastener either before or after the fastener is attached to the flat web, but prior to conveying the web to a FFS machine. The flat web, with the slider-operated fastener already attached thereto, is then conveyed to a vertical or horizontal FFS machine where the flat web is formed into bags, and the bags are successively filled and sealed.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 24, 2004Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventors: William Dutt, Toby Thomas -
Publication number: 20050086912Abstract: A method of manufacturing folder sheets with reinforce holes, which comprises unwinding a spindled paper band; printing predetermined graphics on the paper band; causing the paper band to go through corona treatment; applying a reinforcement strip of thermoplastic material to selected areas of the paper band; cutting the printed and partially reinforced paper band in a direction substantially perpendicular to one edge of the paper band in such a fashion as to form a plurality of paper strips each having an elongated reinforced edge area; layering and counting the paper strips until they reach a predetermined number; punching the paper strips in the reinforced edge area in accordance with a predetermined pattern; cutting the punched paper strips in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the first cutting to form a plurality of folder sheets; counting and piling the folder sheets to form a block until they reach a predetermined number; and packaging and boxing the folder sheet blocks.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 13, 2004Publication date: April 28, 2005Applicant: Angel Estrada & CiaInventors: Ricardo Lebedevski, Jose Gallo

Publication number: 20050086914Abstract: Improved riding apparatus and methods for use on animals. In one exemplary embodiment, the apparatus comprises a coordinated saddle pad system with removable inserts adapted for use on equines. The inserts help distribute the weight of saddle and rider over a plurality of locations, and mitigate chafing and rubbing of the saddle and pad against the animal, especially in the area of the spinal column. The exemplary inserts comprise resilient visco-elastic foam which has significant pliability and compliance, yet with good memory. A sheepskin contact element is used to interface with the animal in order to provide maximal comfort, thermal properties, and moisture dissipation, as well as pressure dissipation. Method of using the pad apparatus, and for manufacturing the same, are disclosed as well.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2003Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventor: Martine Fennelly

Publication number: 20050086915Abstract: A separating apparatus which enables particles to be separated from a flowing medium by a preliminary separator which avoids the undesirably high pressure losses due to the flow resistance of known preliminary separators. The separating apparatus has a housing with an inlet and an outlet, in which a flow of air at the inlet end is caused to rotate by an inlet guide device, and is redirected again at the outlet end by an outlet guide device into a linear flow. The pressure recovery is achieved by a defined curvature and arrangement of the guide elements. The guide element curvature has an inlet contour, a retarding contour and a stabilizing contour. Preliminary separators of this type are used primarily in the air intake tracts of internal combustion engines exposed to heavy contamination, such as engines in farm machinery or construction machinery.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2004Publication date: April 28, 2005Applicant: Mann & Hummel GmbHInventors: Volker Greif, Jens Haehn

Publication number: 20050086916Abstract: Reusable vacuum bags are provided which include a fabric layer containing reinforcement fibers and a release surface disposed on at least the first side of the fabric layer. The vacuum bag is capable of withstanding multiple mold cycles of the vacuum of less than ambient pressure without significant leakage. In addition, the described vacuum bag can be used in resin transfer molding and standard bagging operations with commercial benefit.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 23, 2003Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventor: Mark Caron

Publication number: 20050086917Abstract: A device for filtering a gas flowing through a line, particularly for filtering the air flow in an intake line of an internal combustion engine, including a filter element which is insertable in a line section and surrounds a longitudinally extending interior cavity in the manner of a cover. In order to equalize the flow of gas, a choke element is furnished with at least one breakthrough in the interior cavity and divides the inner cavity into two sub-sections that are connected to one another via the at least one breakthrough.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2004Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventors: Klaus Reymann, Uwe Konzelmann, Christoph Gmelin

Publication number: 20050086918Abstract: An air cleaner that includes a first housing portion having a non-circular attachment fit. A second housing portion is attached to the first housing portion to define a filter space. A filter element includes a non-circular filter aperture that defines a perimeter that is completely defined by four equal arc length segments. The filter aperture is engageable with the attachment fit. The attachment fit and the filter aperture are sized to provide substantially equal contact pressure around the perimeter of the filter aperture when engaged with one another.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2004Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventors: Michael Honisch, Clian Campbell, Derron Bohne, John McDonald

Publication number: 20050086920Abstract: A safety apparatus for a tool driven by a motor removes motor power under certain circumstances. The tool includes a housing moveable over a ground surface for mounting the tool, and a ground-engaging member moveable relative to the housing and disposed to follow the ground surface as the housing moves over same. The apparatus further includes a sensor for measuring the relative position of the housing relative to the ground engaging member. Motor control apparatus selectively stops the motor upon the ground-engaging member and the housing reaching a predetermined relative position.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2004Publication date: April 28, 2005Inventors: Scott Freiberg, Roger Roy
