Abstract: Green Roof Blocks is a completely unique approach to covering the surface of roof tops with vegetation. The strategy of using self contained, durable 22 gauge galvalume sheet metal material containers, which can be easily installed and moved, differs from anything currently available in the market place. Much heavier plastic or polypropylene containers are currently on the market with limited success. My product requires no machinery to lift, nor any particular training to install. The use of rubber composite walk pad material as resting pads assures roofing system compatibility and warranty integrity. Thus no additional materials are required to separate the container from the roofing system. In fact, the walk pad material can be procured from different roofing system manufacturers allowing the roofing system manufacturer to provide a material acceptable to come in contact with the roofing material. This ease of use, choice of material and configuration, and system compatibility is unique to my invention.

Abstract: A form system wall tie and method for making and using the same. A wall tie is formed having a longitudinal axis and structure that is longitudinally symmetric. A tie rod at one end of the wall tie is attached to struts that, in turn, are attached to an attachment member that is adapted to engage a threaded rod. If desired, one copy of the wall tie can be engaged with a threaded rod having an anchor that can be affixed to a framework against which it is desired to pour a concrete wall, or the like, and the framework adjusted to the desired position. Alternatively, two copies of the wall tie can be placed end to end along the longitudinal axis and joined by a threaded rod, allowing a freestanding framework to be adjusted to the desired position before it is filled with concrete. The tie rod can be formed into shapes that are compatible with existing concrete form systems.

Abstract: Multi-part improvements to brush cutting technology including a breakaway system. A single horizontal pin attaches the cutter head of a brush cutting machine to the boom and a swing tower, so that a single vertical pin can attach the tractor to the boom, the vertical pin and swing tower allowing the cutter head to have a forward and aft movement for flexibility around immovable objects. A breakaway cylinder holds the cutter head at a ninety degree angle relative to the tractor of a brush cutting machine. A control, in the form of a joystick, remotely raises and lowers the cutter head portion using a single control within the cab. A first relief valve bypasses when higher than normal hydraulic pressure is created in the breakaway cylinder and a second relief valve removes excess oil from the breakaway cylinder. A switch, in the form of a toggle switch, remotely operates the breakaway cylinder and moves the cutter head from within the cab.

Abstract: The corn head apparatus and method of manufacture claimed and disclosed herein allows the user to disconnect the choice of corn head manufacturer from the choice of combine. As disclosed herein, manufacturing productivity is increased by substantially standardizing the methodology and apparatus necessary to attach combine heads to different combine makers. Furthermore, the corn harvesting unit and the attachment modifications for connection to the threshing unit provide an improved flow of material from the row to the threshed grain in the combine. These modifications of structure and the resultant spatial changes to the variety of the conveying systems used from the row unit through the combine increase harvest efficiency. The disclosed spatial relationship between the conveying systems permits improved flow and flow rates.

Abstract: The invention provides four (4) methods to reduce stalk shear in a corn head row unit that utilizes a non-variable or dependent drive system. The four methods described include altering the gearbox ratio, increasing the lengths of the fluted portion of the stalk roll, increasing stalk roll diameter or reducing the size of the gathering chain drive sprocket. The invention allows for a more balanced application of multi directional energy to be applied to the corn plant. The resultant effect is to reduce stalk shear which reduces trash intake to the harvester. This novel idea provides the first means and method to which genetically improved taller and healthier corn plants can be harvested with minimal amounts of material other than ears ultimately being transferred to the threshing unit.

Abstract: A harvester suitable for triple windrowing operations has a cross-conveyor located behind the harvesting header for intercepting a stream of severed materials projected rearwardly from the header as the machine moves through the field. The cross-conveyor may be maintained in a raised or lowered position independently of the header so that, when the cross-conveyor is raised, the stream of severed materials from the header can be projected straight back underneath the raised conveyor to fall onto the ground generally in line with the header. For triple windrowing, a first pass is made with the cross-conveyor raised so that the first deposit is made directly behind the header on the mowed strip of the first pass.
