Abstract: The invention relates to a discharge valve comprising a flexible ringed tube for toilets. The purpose of the invention is to prevent leaks through the central hole in toilet tanks, which can occur in the currently-used cone systems. The inventive discharge valve comprises a flexible ringed tube which together with a threaded connector, two gaskets and a nut form a fully sealed assembly. Said assembly is disposed in the central hole of a toilet tank and the tube is maintained in a vertical position at a height greater than the level of the water, such that the water cannot be released if the tube is not inclined in order to draw in liquid. Moreover, the tube returns to the vertical position thereof after performing a discharge operation in order to flush the toilet bowl, something which is not possible in current cone systems.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for foot actuating a toilet by providing a foot pedal having an enhoused cable extending there from. The cable is attached inside the toilet tank to a flushing means within the tank. Upon a user stepping down on the pedal, dual components of the pedal provide for the amount of cable within the foot pedal to be increased by a factor of two relative to the pedal travel distance. This in turn provides for the cable inside of the tank to be decreased by such amount for lifting a weight and actuating the internal flushing means within the toilet tank. Upon removing the user's foot from the foot pedal, the foot pedal, cable and weight are automatically reset to a starting position allowing the toilet to be reset to its original position for reuse.

Abstract: This invention relates to compounds of formula: wherein A is an unsaturated alkylene moiety; B the residue of a polyol wherein one hydroxyl moiety is esterified with one carboxyl moiety of the phthalic acid moiety; D is the residue of a polyol wherein one hydroxyl moiety is esterified with another carboxyl moiety of the phthalic acid moiety, and another hydroxyl moiety is esterified with one carboxyl moiety of the unsaturated alkylene moiety; E is the residue of polyol wherein one hydroxyl moiety is esterified with another carboxyl moiety of the unsaturated alkylene moiety; and M is a cation. The compounds can be used alone, or polymerized, or polymerized and combined with other polymers, to form effective stain and soil repellent compositions.

Abstract: Provided is a hair dye composition to be used as a mixture of a first part containing an alkali agent and a second part containing an oxidizing agent, wherein the composition comprises (a) a triazacyclononane compound (1) or salt thereof, (b) 0.1 to 12 wt. %, in terms of hydrogen peroxide, of an oxidizing agent, and (c) 0.05 to 10 wt. % of an alkali agent, and the mixture has a pH of from 7.5 to 12. (R1 to R4: H or C1-6 alkyl which may be substituted by OH, R5 to R7: H, (substituted) C1-6 alkyl, (substituted) aralkyl, (substituted) heteroarylalkyl, (substituted) aryl, (substituted) heteroaryl, (substituted) C1-6 acyl, or a group (2) (in which R8 to R12 represents H, C1-6 alkyl, aralkyl or aryl and n stands for 2 to 30). The hair dye composition of the present invention has excellent hair bleaching power, can dye the hair into a bright favorable color tone, and moreover has less hair damage and less scalp irritation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a keratin fibre makeup composition having a solids content of more than 45% of the total weight of the composition; and a rheological profile such that, for a shear gradient range from 10?2 to 103 s?1, the ratios of the change in shear gradient to the change in applied shear stress (the said ratio being written ?{dot over (?)}/??) are not more than 7; the said composition being capable of undergoing shear stresses without breaking up over the entire breadth of the said shear gradient range. The invention allows a smooth and continuous deposition of product on the fibre.

Abstract: Men's and Women's shoes are sometimes adorn with kilties. A kiltie is a long slashed tongue on boots and shoes; kitties are generally made of leather. Due to wear and aging the kiltie tends to curl up, this device will restore the kiltie to its original appearance applying pressure from the top due to the hinging mechanism, also restoring the tassels to their original appearance. This invention can be attached to existing plastic or cedar shoetrees during manufacturing or by the consumer. This invention is to be used during shoe storage.

Abstract: A dock leveler or dock lift deck comprises two upper plates that are connected to create a permanently visible longitudinal joint that serves as a guideline for a forklift operator. In some cases the joint may have a variable width gap that helped in squaring up the deck during manufacturing. To draw attention to the guideline, the two upper plates may each have an embossed pattern that is shifted out of registry with each other.

Abstract: An adjustable support bracket to be used in combination with a support pier or post to support a structure subject to weights or loads. A support pier is placed in proximity to a surface requiring support. At the end of the support pier, in proximity to the surface requiring support, a generally rigid flat surface is placed. On that flat surface are a plurality of support bolts generally perpendicular to the flat surface. The bolts are threaded and are provided with locking nuts. A matching second flat surface is placed above said first flat surface and between said first flat surface and the structure requiring support. A plurality of sleeves are on the second flat surface. The sleeves are sized and shaped for receipt of the support bolts on the first flat surface. The sleeves are slipped over the bolts on the first flat surface, leaving a space between the first and second flat surfaces.
