Abstract: A peripheral, annular groove is incorporated into a throttle valve connector in one step. A first die and a second die are then inserted into the throttle valve connector and a first plastic material is introduced into a first cylindrical cavity formed thereby in a molten state and hardened, resulting in a plastic insert. The first die and the second die are subsequently removed from the throttle valve connector and a third die and a fourth die are inserted into the throttle valve connector. A second cavity is formed therebetween and filled with a second plastic material, whereby a throttle valve is formed and is fixed during the cooling process by shrinkage on the throttle valve shaft.

Abstract: By providing a substantially continuous, arcuately curved, helical-shaped, spring-like coil or ribbon as the cutting element and securely mounting and retaining the coil/ribbon in a holding member, a substantially improved, highly effective, and long-lasting cutting blade assembly is realized. Furthermore, the cutting blade assembly of this invention is substantially less expensive to manufacture, assemble, and employ in a shaver when compared to prior art constructions. In the preferred construction, an elongated coil holding bar is employed for securely holding and retaining the entire length of the helical-shaped, spring-like coil/ribbon, imparting the required rigidity for enabling the elongated coil/ribbon to function in the desired manner.

Abstract: A shoe insole has an insole body with forefoot and rearfoot regions having respective shapes. A first sizing pad is securable to the insole body via securing material and may be secured to the footward or soleward surface of the insole body. The sizing pad can be shaped to correspond to the forefoot or rearfoot region shape and can be of various thicknesses. Abstract: A self tying shoe wherein the weight of a user who, upon sliding his foot inside the shoe will depress a hingedly movable inner sole which actuates a mechanism which pulls on the laces so as to close in the tongue of the shoe towards the user's foot, thus lacing the shoe. The user can simply pump the inner sole or walk a couple of steps to accomplish the lacing of the shoes. Using his other foot, the user can move a knob in either one of two positions, one being for tying and the other being for untying the shoe. Most of the mechanical components are situated underneath the movable inner sole and are interconnected in a way reminiscent of the cooperating interconnections of clockwork.
