Abstract: The present invention provides a wiper assembly capable of minimizing the slant of a connecting rod interposed between wiper driving arms and a motor-driven arm by positioning the wiper driving arm to the substantially same height with the motor-driven arm. Further, the wiper assembly is capable of preventing water or other contaminants from entering a gap between a wiper arm shaft and a wiper driving arm by employing a cap covering the wiper driving arm and the wiper arm shaft, thereby effectively preventing wiper arm assembly malfunction that is caused by the entry of water or contaminants. The cap engages with the wiper arm shaft through a thread formed inside thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060005343
Abstract: A paint flow control apparatus for insertion into paint cans, buckets, and other storage containers for regulating the application of paint to rollers and brushes dipped therein. The apparatus generally includes a porous grid member, a perimeter member fixedly attached to the grid member, a filter screen detachably attached to the grid member, and two handles fixedly attached to the perimeter member. The perimeter member maintains the porous grid member slightly submerged beneath the surface of the paint so as to prevent drying and flaking of the paint, and the perimeter member abuts/interacts with the walls of the storage container to maintain the position of the grid member. The filter screen strains the paint, and the handles allow convenient extraction/removal of the apparatus. A paint roller can be rolled across the top of the grid member to pick up an appropriate amount of paint.

Abstract: A hand held steam cleaner of relatively small pistol shape has a rearward projecting water container from which water is pumped by a pump within the main housing of the cleaner to a tank having a heater embedded in one wall thereof for the conversion of the water to steam. A one-way valve permits the entry of air into the container as water is pumped from it. A steam relief valve connected into a water line running from the pump to the tank opens when steam pressure becomes excessive, as when the steam cleaner nozzle is blocked. The tank in which water is converted into steam has two serpentine paths generally paralleling two sides of a U-shaped electrical heater in heat conducting relation to the paths. The path's topography is such that the surface area of the wall of the tank shared with the heater is greatly increased by a multiplicity of projections. A nose member of the cleaner receives the stem of various cleaning tools, locking them in place in fluid communication with the nozzle.

The platform and the positioning device horizontally move together and a linking portion of a combination of a integrated circuit, and display, disposed on the platform and the positioning device, is moved under the tooling head and then pressed by the tooling head when the tooling head descends to press the linking portion. And both of the platform and the positioning device move back so that the tooling head scrapes the integrated circuit from the display.

Abstract: A component placing head provided with spline shafts, which are each elevatably supported by two spline nuts, is provided with a cylindrical member that is fixed to the outer peripheral portions of the spline nuts and joins the spline nuts to each other to put the same into an integrated state. Further, the cylindrical member is rotatably supported on a head frame via two bearing sections, reducing the amount of the bearing sections to be provided. With this arrangement, high-accuracy component placement and downsizing of the component placing head can be achieved.

Abstract: A process for producing a tape-like material uniformly containing highly pure single-walled or multi-walled carbon nanotubes with a high density highly pure single-walled or multi-walled carbon nanotubes; a high-performance field emission electrode including the tape-like material; and a process for producing the field emission electrode. For synthesis of carbon nanotubes by arc discharge, an inert gas or inert gas-containing mixed gas is jetted onto a cathode (2) comprising a carbon material from the inside (11a) of a hollow electrode (11) used as an anode, and simultaneously an arc is generated to form a path of arc discharge along the stream of the gas. Consequently, the cathode spot is prevented from irregularly moving, and thus highly pure carbon nanotubes can be produced. At the same time, by relatively moving both electrodes so as to move the cathode spot of the arc (3) on cathode, the synthesized carbon nanotubes are formed into a tape.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a modular method for manufacturing circuit boards, which is a method of manufacturing multilayer printed circuit boards with blind and buried vias structure by using basic components as the assembly units. The method comprises the steps of producing electric circuits on the surface of a copper clad laminate by photolithographic and etching methods, pressing a dry film dielectric onto the surface of the laminate by the dry film lamination method after the electric circuit layer is formed, drilling a via and plugging a plastic conductive material into the via to obtain a basic component.

Abstract: A method of forming a printed circuit card with a metal power plane layer between two photoimageable dielectric layers is provided. Photoformed metal filled vias and plated through holes are in the photopatternable material, and signal circuitry is on the surfaces of each of the dielectric materials connected to the vias and plated through holes. A border may be around the card including a metal layer terminating in from the edge of one of the dielectric layers. Copper foil with clearance holes is provided. First and second layers of photoimageable curable dielectric material are on opposite sides of the copper. Patterns are developed on the first and second layers of the photoimageable material to reveal the metal layer through vias. Through holes are developed where holes were patterned in both dielectric layers. The surfaces of the photoimageable material, vias and through holes are metallized by copper plating, preferably using photoresist.

The shaft is cooled down prior to thread-on of the cams so that the cams are shrunk onto the shaft due to a temperature equalization which includes heating of the shaft and cooling down of the cams. The assembly system includes multiple drums in which the shafts and the cams to be fitted are accommodated and cooled and/or heated. The shafts are cooled preferably with the aid of a cooling lance inserted into a hollow space of the shaft.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an injector for determining a position of a second part (10) inside a stepped boring (6). This part should assume an exact distance (H) from a first part (2). In order to determine the distance (H) between both parts (2, 10), a collar (3) is firstly introduced into a second boring (6b) of the stepped boring (6) until it rests upon a step (16) of the stepped boring (6). Afterwards, a punch (4), together with a touch probe (5), which is located inside a longitudinal boring (d), is placed upon a lower annular surface (17) of the collar (3) or on an underside (17a) of the first part (2), and the collar (3) is compressed until the predetermined distance (H) is obtained. The distance (H) is measured to a reference measure (x) between a projecting end piece (E) of the touch probe (5) and a reference mark (B) outside of the punch (4). The stamping process is stopped once the reference measure (x) has been obtained.
