Abstract: The invention relates to a connecting device for a blade on the wiper arm of a windshield wiper system, the wiper blade being formed by a springy support element that is provided with a wiper strip. The inventive connecting device comprises a holding mechanism that is fastened to the outer edges of the support element, and a connecting bolt which is disposed on the holding mechanism and runs transversal to the longitudinal extension of the wiper blade. The aim of the invention is to design such a connecting device in such a way that the parts which are subject to wear are placed on the wiper blade. The aim is achieved by the fact that an adapter bracket is hinged to the connecting bolt. The final piece of the wiper arm, which is adapted to the adapter bracket, can be joined in a fixed and detachable manner to the adapter bracket via a locking connection or latch and is connected thereto in a fixed manner in the assembled state of the wiper blade.

Abstract: A wiper blade for cleaning the surface of glass in a vehicle utilizes a wiper-providing body including a spine portion and a wiping element for engaging the surface of glass to be cleaned and an elongated cleaning element which is mounted for movement relative to the spine portion. Juxtaposed magnetic devices are secured within the spine portion and the cleaning element for biasing the cleaning element away from the spine portion of the wiper-providing portion so that during use of the wiper blade, the cleaning element is biased toward the glass surface by the repelling forces of the magnetic devices and is maintained in a spaced relationship with the spine portion so that during use of the wiper blade, the cleaning element is permitted to shift in position relative to the wiper-providing element and the spine portion.

Abstract: A vacuum having a series of motors and fans. As the fans rotate, they draw air into the vacuum. The volume of the air brought into the vacuum is maximized by positioning the fans in series. A plurality of fans is positioned so that outflow from a first fan is the primary inflow into a second fan, and so forth. Together the fans will draw more air than one could alone. By positioning the fans in series, the external diameter of the vacuum does not need to be any larger than it would for a vacuum having a single fan. The fans and motors are contained in a housing having an intake aperture. The intake aperture is preferably separated from the intake opening to the first fan and is preferably slightly smaller than the intake openings to the first fan. This will cause air entering the housing to accelerate.

Abstract: Exhaust tubes comprise tubular structures having draw-forms formed therein so as to provide a flat portion where a HEGO boss (Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen) can be welded for placement of the HEGO sensor. In such circumstances, it is, therefore, useful that such draw-forms have substantially flat portions. The present invention provides a tubular member having an outer wall, and a draw-form formed in the outer wall. The draw-form comprises a substantially flat bottom portion, a plurality of walls extending upwardly from the bottom portion and attached to the outer wall, and wherein the walls are configured in a polygonal orientation.

Abstract: A method for arranging a valve element in an additional control valve device includes provides that, after a first position has been set, a valve plate is pushed onto the stem until the valve plate contacts the stop of a trapping magnet. The valve plate is then connected to the stem. This ensures that the fabrication tolerances are completely compensated by virtue of the first valve spring and the guiding of the valve element. After the second counter bearing has been secured in the guide, the holding of the first counter bearing in the previously determined first position is cancelled, which is then generally carried out by removing the tappet from the guide. After this has been done, the valve element automatically assumes a central position between the gantry magnet and the trapping magnet in the currentless state of the additional control valve device owing to the spring forces which then act.

Abstract: A tube cutter having a relative movement generating portion is disclosed. It includes a relative movement generating portion, a tube cutting base and a tube cutting slider. The manual input portion of the relative movement generating portion is easy to be held by user's hand. A cutting blade, two auxiliary rollers and a feeding spring are disposed between the tube cutting base and the tube cutting slider. After the user applying a holding force, the pushing plate will compress the spring in the tube cutting slider so that the cutting blade feeds in. In case the applying force is too large, the entire tube cutting base and the cutting slider will be locked via the stopping plate. So, it can avoid any over-applying force to destroy the pipe to be cut. This invention is easy to clamp the pipe tightly. It can avoid the over-applying force. It can automatically feed in. And, it can feed in by holding force of hand.

Abstract: A leaf spring assisted opener for a folding tool such as a folding knife. The folding tool includes tool pivotally carried by a handle. The tool defines a tang at the proximal end. A leaf spring is carried within the handle for assisting in the opening of the tool. The leaf spring defines an elongated, arcuate configuration having a distal end adapted to engage the tang of the tool. When in the closed orientation, the leaf spring is biased toward the tang of the tool, thus holding it in the closed position. The tang of the tool defines a shoulder strategically positioned such that as the tool is pivoted from the closed position, the leaf spring eventually engages the shoulder and begins to release the tension in the leaf spring. At this point, the tension in the spring serves to open the tool the remainder of the rotation.
