Abstract: A music or audio composition system, or other composition system for time-based media such as video, defines a composition using a set of tracks. Similar to a traditional track, each track in the composition system is represented in a graphical user interface as a timeline. However, each track also has its own attributes that are used to access a content database. As a result, each track may have its own context-sensitive browser or other mechanism to access the content database. The attributes of a track may include, for example, an associated instrument category, musical style and qualifying parameters. In the graphical user interface, if a user selects a track and inputs search parameters for browsing the database, the results from the database are limited to those that also match the attributes of the track in addition to the user-provided search parameters. For example, the browser for a drum track will provide drum clips; the browser for a bass track will provide bass clips.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for removing airborne moisture from a designated area. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a bucket, a liquid absorption medium (such as ground corn cobs) placed in the bottom of the bucket to form a media bed, a tray placed over the absorption media bed, and a moisture absorption medium (such as calcium chloride) placed in the bucket over the tray. A method is also provided for absorbing moisture from a humid environment using the apparatus. When the apparatus is exposed to humid conditions, the CaCl2 will absorb moisture and become hardened. As the CaCl2 media hardens, it will expand. However, its lateral expansion is restricted by a side wall of the tray. Over further time, the CaCl2 will begin to dissolve into a brine. The brine will gravitationally seep through the through-openings in the tray and be captured by the corn cob medium.

Abstract: In a deposition system, such as a TiN deposition system where TiCl4 and NH3 are reacted in a process chamber to produce TiN thin film coatings, a second reactor is included between the process chamber and the vacuum pump to react enough of the theretofore unreacted feed gases to consume substantially all of at least one of them so that further reactions that could otherwise produce solids, which cause excessive vacuum pump wear, are presented. The second reactor is preferably positioned between a cooled condensation trap downstream from the process chamber and vacuum pump, and it is also applicable in atomic layer deposition (ALD) systems for TiN, WN, and other materials as well as in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) systems for those and other materials.

Abstract: A lid for a beverage container for holding a decoction beverage, preferably a disposable tea container with a base plate and a covering arranged at a distance from the base plate in which case between the base plate and the covering a holding space bounded on the sides by a surrounding side wall is formed, a first opening being provided in the base plate through which a decoction unit holding decoction materials can be guided and a second opening smaller than the first opening being formed in the covering or in the region of the covering through which a section of the decoction unit can be guided, the holding space being of dimensions such as to hold at least part of the decoction unit. This lid is especially suitable for covering beverage containers in which decoction beverages, especially for “sale on the street” are to be prepared. The decoction unit may be used without having to remove the lid from the beverage container.

All the conveyors are spaced vertically one above another and arranged such that products drop off the end of each conveyor in turn and on to the next conveyor below. Each successive conveyor travels in a different direction from the preceding conveyor whereby the products undergo a change in direction at each drop between the input and output conveyors, thereby being progressively aligned in the direction of travel of the conveyors.

Abstract: A removable heat shield for creating a replica of a design on a baked product as it is toasted in a toaster. The heat shield comprises a single L-shaped panel being a body with a flange extending outwardly from a front surface of the body and substantially at ninety degrees thereto. The body includes a decorative design formed by one or more continuous areas being decoratively arranged with one or more apertured areas. The heat shield is removably inserted into the slot of a toaster so that the flange rests on the movable carriage and the baked product is inserted into the toaster and rests on the flange. When the toaster heats up, the continuous areas of the shield prevent radiated heat from reaching those portions of the baked product immediate adjacent to the continuous areas and substantially prevent them from toasting. The apertured areas of the shield allow heat to radiate through to those portions of the baked product adjacent the apertured areas and these portions of the product become toasted.
