Publication number: 20060191400Abstract: A system and method for creating a ring tone for an electronic device takes as input a phrase sung in a human voice and transforms it into a control signal controlling, for example, a ringer on a cellular telephone. Time-varying features of the input signal are analyzed to segment the signal into a set of discrete notes and assigning to each note a chromatic pitch value. The set of note start and stop times and pitches are then translated into a format suitable for controlling the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 22, 2006Publication date: August 31, 2006Inventors: John Puterbaugh, Eric Puterbaugh, Peter Velikonja, Robert Baxter

Publication number: 20060191402Abstract: A bottle rocket launcher comprises a long hollow tube barrel having an tube-axial sealing valve that has a rotary cylindrical or spherical valve member where the valve is attached at the breech end of the launcher barrel. The rocket launcher can be angled up to a near vertical position with support legs. In use, a bottle rocket can be partially inserted into the valve passageway that is held open. The flammable rocket fuse is lit and the bottle rocket is dynamically inserted by hand contact with the rocket stick into the barrel inside chamber body to a position that is beyond the valve member. The valve is rotated into a valve-closed position while the rocket fuse is burning. When the bottle rocket powder is ignited by the burning fuse, the burning exhaust gases thrusts the bottle rocket along the inside of the barrel tube and propels it into the sky in the direction that the launcher barrel is pointed.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2005Publication date: August 31, 2006Inventors: Cameron Duescher, Kent Duescher

Publication number: 20060191415Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include methods and devices for trapping particulate matter suspended in exhaust from, for example, automotive diesel engines. Particulates carried in exhaust are actually a colloidal suspension of finely divided particulates in a fluid (in this case, the exhaust gases). This colloidal mixture is channeled through an open spiral exhaust channel. The particulates will differentially tend to travel through the fluid in a straight line, which leads them to collide with a fine mesh or porous material that defines the open spiral exhaust channel. The gas, on the other hand, will easily traverse the spirally shaped exhaust channel, with its molecules bouncing around the curved path of the spiral. Continuing through the device, more and more particulates will build up in the surrounding meshwork or porous material. In this manner, the device separates the particulates from the gas and leaves them lodged in the meshwork or porous material.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2006Publication date: August 31, 2006Applicant: INDUSTRIAL WIDGET WORKS COMPANYInventor: Richard Johnson

Publication number: 20060191442Abstract: Process for improving the brilliance of color and the stability of a colored polymer system, which is composed of a matrix and of discrete polymer particles distributed in accordance with a defined spatial lattice structure in the matrix, and which is obtained by filming of an emulsion polymer with core/shell structure, which comprises using an emulsion polymer obtainable by polymerizing monomers in at least one first stage (core monomers), then polymerizing monomers in at least one further, second stage (transition stage), and finally polymerizing monomers in a third stage (shell monomers), where, based on the percentage constitution of the monomer mixtures of the three stages, at most 30% by weight of the monomers of the first stage are identical with those of the third stage, and 5% of the monomers of the second stage are identical with, respectively, those of the first and those of the third stage, and not more than 60% by weight of the monomers of the 2nd stage here are monomers absent in the 1st stageType: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2004Publication date: August 31, 2006Inventors: Xu He, Reinhold Leyrer, Holger Schopke

Publication number: 20060191443Abstract: A production method of an electronic device comprising the steps of forming a stacked body by stacking green sheets 10a and electrode layers 12a having a predetermined pattern and firing the stacked body. Before forming the stacked body, a blank pattern layer 24 having substantially the same thickness as that of the electrode layer is formed on a space portion of the electrode layer having a predetermined pattern. The electrode level difference absorbing print paste for forming the blank pattern layer 24 includes at least ceramic powder and a binder resin, and a polymerization degree of the binder resin included in the electrode level difference absorbing print paste is made equal to or more than that of a binder resin included in slurry for forming the green sheet.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 25, 2004Publication date: August 31, 2006Applicant: TDK CORPORATIONInventors: Akira Yamaguchi, Shigeki Satou, Yasumichi Tokuoka

Publication number: 20060191444Abstract: A method of producing Portland cement includes the steps of: preparing a raw material of the Portland cement; preparing Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) ash; mixing the raw material and the MSW ash to obtain a mixture; feeding the mixture into a kiln; and operating the kiln to obtain the Portland cement. In the step of mixing the raw material and the MSW ash, the raw material may be mixed with the MSW ash, so that a weight% of the MSW ash is within a range of 1% to 60%. The method of producing Portland cement may further include the step of analyzing the MSW ash to determine a composition thereof, so that the raw material may be mixed with the MSW ash according to the composition of the MSW ash.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2006Publication date: August 31, 2006Inventor: Louis Wagner

Publication number: 20060191445Abstract: A flat panel workstation system that may be retrofitted into an existing desktop/work surface for supporting and pivoting a flat panel display such as a liquid crystal display (LCD) from a closed position to an open, viewable position in front of a user. The system includes a sliding keyboard and mouse platform mounted underneath the front edge of the desk top/work surface and which automatically pivot a support panel atop the work surface (and attached flat panel display) to an upright position or closed flush position upon extension/retraction of the keyboard and mouse platform.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2006Publication date: August 31, 2006Inventors: Peter Stengel, Thomas White

Publication number: 20060191447Abstract: A table including a drawer attached to the table top is disclosed. Advantageously, the drawer can be connected directly to the table top or to a frame that is connected to the table top. The table top is preferably constructed from blow-molded plastic and the support assembly preferably includes a first leg and a second leg that are pivotally connected. The legs desirably have a generally X-shaped configuration when the legs are placed in an upright position and the legs can be collapsed into a storage position. Each of the legs may include a lower portion, a body portion and an upper portion that is preferably selectively connected to the table top. The legs, for example, can be connected to the table top by inserting the upper portions of the legs into leg receiving recess. Desirably, the table top includes a plurality of leg receiving recesses and the legs can be selectively attached to the leg receiving recesses in order to vary the height of the table.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2004Publication date: August 31, 2006Inventors: Kent Ashby, Thayne Haney, Ed VanNimwegen, Brandon Smith, S.
