Patent number: 7165296Abstract: Flexible material clamp discloses two parts, triangular bar and rigid clamp having congruent triangular channel. The bar has base and two major inclined surfaces meeting at acute angle, length of the major surfaces being at least three times base height. Clamp has internal triangular channel whose major surfaces are congruent to major surfaces of triangular bar. One clamp end opens into apex of the channel and at least one side of clamp opens to triangular channel. One end of flexible material to be clamped is wrapped about triangular bar and overlapped upon itself. The wrapped bar is inserted into clamp channel though the at least one open side of clamp and flexible material is passed through clamp opening at channel apex. Assembled wrapped bar and clamp connect to tensioning means causing clamp and bar to move relative to one another to lock flexible material between major surfaces of triangular bar and corresponding major surfaces of triangular clamp channel, locking flexible material in channel.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2005Date of Patent: January 23, 2007Inventor: Kelly R. Patent number: 7165307Abstract: There are disclosed a method and apparatus for applying a strippable paint to a large-sized product finished with a sprayed coating, such as an automobile, to form a protective film on the surface of the coating. The product is conventionally kept in stock for a period of time before it is shipped. Contaminations such as dust are washed away from the surface of the product. Then, the strippable paint is applied, preliminarily dried, and non-preliminarily dried to form the protective film out of the strippable paint on the surface of the coating. This protective film is formed easily, appropriately, and reliably. The obtained protective film has a uniform and sufficient thickness. Even if the surface contains unapplied regions to which the paint should not be applied, the paint can be applied to the whole surface of the coating while avoiding the unapplied regions according to the invention. Patent number: 7165327Abstract: A method for arranging a valve element in an additional control valve device includes provides that, after a first position has been set, a valve plate is pushed onto the stem until the valve plate contacts the stop of a trapping magnet. The valve plate is then connected to the stem. This ensures that the fabrication tolerances are completely compensated by virtue of the first valve spring and the guiding of the valve element. After the second counter bearing has been secured in the guide, the holding of the first counter bearing in the previously determined first position is cancelled, which is then generally carried out by removing the tappet from the guide. After this has been done, the valve element automatically assumes a central position between the gantry magnet and the trapping magnet in the currentless state of the additional control valve device owing to the spring forces which then act.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2004Date of Patent: January 23, 2007Assignee: Siemens AGInventors: Rajko Colic, Thomas Mann

Patent number: 7165341Abstract: A hair dryer is provided, which includes a housing having an air outlet, fan disposed in the housing, a pair of air flow channels extending toward the air outlet in the housing, a partition wall for separating the channels from each other, heater disposed in only one of the channels, and a minus-ion generator disposed in the other channel. The partition wall is formed by a tubular member, which is disposed in the housing such that one of the channels is provided by an inner space of the tubular member, and the other channel is provided by a clearance between an inner surface of the housing and an outer surface of the tubular member. Therefore, it is possible to simultaneously provide a cold air flow with minus ions and a hot air flow from the air outlet, and thereby efficiently perform hair styling.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 2005Date of Patent: January 23, 2007Assignee: Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd.Inventors: Itaru Saida, Kiyoshi Takashima, Kenji Kamada, Hiroyuki Takano, Kengo Ito, Akinobu Mizuta, Takashi Nakagawa

Patent number: 7165342Abstract: The shoe cover is formed from two sheets of tough flexible material shaped to cooperatively shield a shoe. The first sheet forms a first shield member for protecting the metatarsal area of a foot or shoe. The second sheet forms a second shield member, adjustably attachable to the first shield member and shaped to generally cover the toe area of the shoes. Eyelets are arranged on a fold area of the first shield member between fastener patches so that the upper portion of the sheet can be folded upon itself to cover shoelaces tied through the eyelets and the tongues of the shoes. A wide patch of hook and loop fastener material is secured onto the back face of the first shield member to cooperate with a narrower strip of fastener material secured to the second shield member to adjustably cover the toes of shoes in a range of sizes.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2002Date of Patent: January 23, 2007Inventor: Randy T. Patent number: 7165344Abstract: A “RED e” cleat is a disposable, self-adhesive, all-surface footwear cleat having a non-skid gripping surface, designed to address all sport, game, play and work foot-traction requirements. The “RED e” cleat replaces the need for specialty footwear, which incorporates permanently implanted or attached devices for affixing traction gear to the underside of shoes. The cleats attach simply and quickly to the sole and heel area of any footwear. Removal of the cleat is also simple. By sliding a flat-edged tool between the cleat and the surface of the footwear to break the seal, the cleat will peel away leaving the footwear ready for other uses.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 2004Date of Patent: January 23, 2007Inventor: John Richard Blackwell

Patent number: 7165345Abstract: The automation mechanism has of three rubber discs, two of which are connected to two swiveling brackets. The brackets are directed by two cables and two cable levers, each one connected to each handlebar. The swivelling brackets consist of two rubber discs that make contact to the center disc at the left side of the shroud. This center disc is connected to the rotating snow auger inside the shroud, which is the driving force for this invention. When one of the rubber discs makes contact with the rotating rubber disc at the center, it rotates a drive chain that is connected to a sprocket near the discharge chute. The sprocket rotates a clutch that rotates a worm gear, and in turn, rotates the discharge chute. Once the discharge chute reaches its maximum rotating limit, the clutch disengages by slipping. The operator can move the chute either right or left by pulling on either the left or right lever on the handlebars, while operating the snow blower at the same time.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2002Date of Patent: January 23, 2007Inventor: Gilles Joseph Beaudoin
