Abstract: An assembly for packaging and a dispensing a product includes at least one container containing a product, with the container including an actuation rod. A dispensing device is provided which can actuate the actuation rod in order to dispense the product through a dispensing aperture. Advantageously, the dispensing device is positionable in at least two different positions, including: (1) a use position in which the actuation device can rock or tilt the actuation rod to dispense the product, but in which the dispensing device does not move the actuation rod along its longitudinal axis, and (2) an intermediate position in which the dispensing device is not in fluid communication with the actuation rod. The arrangement can advantageously avoid dispensing of the product or products when such dispensing is not desired.

Abstract: The invention relates to a dispenser for delivering portions of liquid to pasty substances, having a storage container and a pumping chamber, the pumping chamber having at least one valve, and having a delivery head which can be displaced relative to the storage container and the displacement of which allows the substance to be delivered, the delivery head further having formed in it a delivery channel with a delivery opening, which delivery opening can be closed by a closure part which is removable, but is held in captive fashion on the delivery head. In order to specify such a dispenser for delivering portions of liquid to pasty substances which is configured in an advantageous manner, in particular, in respect of a closure part, it is proposed that the closure part is a sliding part which also forms a delivery-channel portion and interacts with a fixed closure pin.

In addition, the lower valve leaf and the upper valve leaf are directly defined on the valve seat to form an air-in check valve and an air-out check valve respectively. The present invention has a simple structure and low costs.

The rack further includes mounting brackets with elongated slots to permit attachment to a variety of existing racks.

In a third embodiment, the carrying straps include a shoulder harness, at least one first strap for connecting the rear of the shoulder harness to the container portion, and at least one second strap for connecting the front of the shoulder harness to the container portion. Abstract: A hammer holder with means of support to a worker's belt includes a ring in a generally horizontal orientation to hold a hammer handle. A movable gate bridges a gap in the ring to permit passage of the hammer handle between two opposed ends of the ring opposite the support. The gate is supported to a fixed end of the gap to rotate inwardly to permit the passage of the handle into the enclosure. A spring between the fixed end and the movable gate member urges the gate outward to closed position defined by stop means. Alternatively, the gate may be two gate members supported by the ring at opposite ends of the bridge gap, each with its own spring means urging the gate outwardly and opposed stops on each supporting ring end and supported gate member to hold each gate in closed gate position against spring pressure.

Abstract: The basic design of the scabbard is the same for the seven different configurations that will spawn from it. The main body of the scabbard (FIG. 1) is designed to be double cell phone width, divided in the center as to provide each phone with its own separate compartment. The compartments will be divided with a sewn stitch of either zigzag or double stitch as in blue jean pants. The back of the main body section has dual belt loops that are stitched to each side approximately one half inch from the outer edge on both sides and approximately one half from the top flap fold (FIG. 2). The belt loop itself will be approximately one inch wide and approximately one and one half inches tall. This allow for a variety of belt sizes and the weight of the cell phones will always make it hang from the top of the loops. This also allow for movement of the scabbard up and down while wearing, in case the scabbard gets caught on an object while the individual is in the process of sitting or standing.

Various embodiments of the present invention include a cartridge body that movably supports first and second staple drivers. The staple drivers each support a staple thereon and serve to drive the staples into forming contact with the anvil upon actuation by the actuator. The various embodiments of the present invention enable the final formed heights of the staples to be varied without the need to use different sizes of staples.

Abstract: A surgical device is described herein that can be used to fire different types and sizes of disposable loading units. In a preferred embodiment, the device applies parallel rows of surgical fasteners to body tissue and concomitantly forms an incision between the rows of staples during an endoscopic or laparoscopic surgical procedure. The device can be utilized with disposable loading units configured to apply linear rows of staples measuring from about 15 mm in length to about 60 mm in length and can be used to fire disposable loading units containing surgical clips and individual staples.

Abstract: A method for making gas and liquid storage tanks such as automotive fuel tanks includes providing two or more blanks of air hardenable martensitic stainless steel in the annealed condition. The steel blanks have a thickness in the range of 0.5-5.0 mm., and are formed utilizing stamping, forging, pressing, or roller forming techniques or the like into the form of a tank shell components. The shell components are hardened and assembled into a storage tank. The shell components are hardened by application of heat, preferably to between 950° C. and 1100° C. for standard air hardenable martensitic stainless steels. Thereafter, the automotive fuel tank is preferably cooled at a rate greater than 25° C. per minute to achieve a Rockwell C hardness of at least 39. The automotive fuel tank may undergo additional heat treating processes including high temperature or low temperature tempering processes which may incorporate electro-coating.
