Publication number: 20070045385Abstract: A jointed assembly includes a first joining member having a face to be welded at at least an end face thereof and a second joining member having a joint receiving part to which the end face of the first joining member is joined. One of the first and second joining members includes on an outer face thereof an engaged part with which a receiving jig is engaged when the first and second joining members are welded to each other by a heat welding process. The other of the first and second joining members includes on an outer face thereof an abutting part against which a welding jig abuts. A welded part at which the first and second joining members are welded is interposed between the abutting part and the engaged part.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2006Publication date: March 1, 2007Inventor: Takeshi Okoshi

Publication number: 20070045386Abstract: A bonding method using a bonding agent is provided, which has the steps of forming an underlayer on a first member, providing a bonding agent on the underlayer, forming a contact member, different from the bonding agent, on a second member, bringing the bonding agent into contact with the contact member so that the first member and the second member are bonded to each other. In the method described above, the wettability of the bonding agent to the underlayer is superior to that of the bonding agent to a surface of the first member before the underlayer is formed thereon, and the bondability of the bonding agent to the contact member is superior to that of the bonding agent to a surface of the second member before the contact member is formed thereon.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2006Publication date: March 1, 2007Applicant: CANON KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: MITSUTOSHI HASEGAWA, Masaki Tokioka, Tokutaka Miura

Publication number: 20070045388Abstract: Microfeature workpieces having alloyed conductive structures, and associated methods are disclosed. A method in accordance with one embodiment includes applying a volume of material to a target location of a microfeature workpiece, with the volume of material including at least a first metallic constituent. The method can further include elevating a temperature of the volume of material while the volume of material is applied to the microfeature workpiece to alloy the first metallic constituent and a second metallic constituent so that the second metallic constituent is distributed generally throughout the volume of material. In further particular embodiments, the second metallic constituent can be drawn from an adjacent structure, for example, a bond pad or the wall of a via in which the volume of material is positioned.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2005Publication date: March 1, 2007Applicant: Micron Technology, Inc.Inventors: Warren Farnworth, Rick Lake, William Hiatt

Publication number: 20070045391Abstract: A package receptacle system including a container having an interior storage compartment, a lower floor within the container for supporting a package placed in the compartment, and sidewalls extending upward from the floor to define an access to the compartment. An upper lid is pivotally attached to the container for closing the access when in a closed position. A feature hangs from the lid for inhibiting rain from entering the compartment when the lid is in a non-closed position. Raised features are present on the floor of the container for supporting a package placed within the compartment above any moisture that might be present on the floor. A feature is included for indicating a recipient's address, and/or a package within the compartment ready for pickup, and/or receipt of a package within the compartment from a delivery service.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 1, 2006Publication date: March 1, 2007Inventor: Wiliam Jonas

Publication number: 20070045393Abstract: Data is collected and aggregated regarding a particular used item for sale, e.g., automobiles, which is in turn validated and normalized with respect to pre-determined identification models. A historical report may be generated to provide an assessment of value based on qualitative information such as mileage and/or location, and may be presented in a multi-axis graphic format. Data records are collected from a plurality of sources over the Internet, and are validated by comparing data field entries in the aggregate data records with data field entries in an established validation database. The validated data records are normalized with respect to a predetermined set or sets of fields by assigning an identification unit to each validated data record. A web crawler to seek out suitable data records relating to the used items that are sought, a search engine is queried to derive a list of suitable high probability target URLs.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2006Publication date: March 1, 2007Inventor: Troy Hartenstine
