Abstract: A large-scale high-visibility, color LED display sign intended for viewing from a long distance is described wherein power is managed by dividing the display sign into two or more distinct sections and providing power to each section from a respective separate power source. As a result, the amount of current drawn from any one source is reduced, thereby reducing require conductor sizes, circuit breaker trip limits, etc. Additionally, in applications where two or more power sources are available, this permits the distribution of the power load from the sign across the multiple sources without requiring bulky, complex and expensive power sharing apparatus. The sign's computer interface electronics are operated (scanned) directly by bus-connected interface circuitry. This eliminates the need for an external image buffer memory, since the computer's local memory acts as an image buffer. The computer serially transmits pixel data to the display via the interface mechanism.

Abstract: This invention includes a card assembly incorporating an electrostatically charged polyolefin film, or electret, removably adhered to a paper stock or card substrate. The electret and card assembly is printable on up to four planar surfaces, with both the electret film and paper stock or card having a front and back side that is printable. When the electret is detached from the card, the charged or “static cling” electret is placeable on and self-adheres to smooth surfaces for graphic information display purposes and the printed card is then utilized for various other purposes. The electret film is removably adhered to the paper stock by a coating or “dots” of adhesive and a release agent may be applied to the back or underside of the electret to prevent premature separation and loss of electrostatic properties while maintaining optimum electret film removability.

Abstract: An apparatus for displaying text on rear roll-up door of a truck comprises a flexible display sheet and a resilient lower anchoring assembly. The display sheet bears text or graphic indicia printed on it or otherwise applied to it and has extending across its bottom edge an elongated pocket with a plurality of transverse openings. The top edge of the sheet is secured to the outer surface of the roll-up-type truck door. The resilient lower anchoring assembly comprises an elongated substantially rigid member received within the elongated pocket and a plurality of spring members. Each spring member is secured at a first end to the elongated rigid member and at a second end to outer surface of the truck door, and passes through one of the transverse openings.

Abstract: A concealable speed loader for firearms includes a flexible, one-piece body having a flat open condition, a closed annular condition, two ends and a given width. The body has grasping chambers for receiving cartridges with a length substantially greater than the given width, causing part of the length of the cartridges to protrude from the body in both the open and the closed conditions. A locking latch latches the two ends of the body in the closed condition for placement above a cylinder of a firearm with the cartridges protruding into chambers of the cylinder. The locking latch has a knob to be pulled for manually removing the body and releasing the cartridges in turn as the cylinder rotates and the cartridges drop fully into the chambers of the cylinder. A method for loading a firearm is also provided.

Abstract: Snag-resistant and attractive fishing flies are disclosed. The design employs a filamentary loop on the side opposite the hook point, with weights attached to the filament to form a weighted keel that keeps the fly hook-point up in use. The weights may be moveable beads strung along a springy nylon monofilament so that the fly can bounce off the bottom and the beads can click, sending out sonic signals. Very little weight is needed to keep the fly riding with the hook-point up, because the keel is offset from the hook shank, providing much more leverage than prior art. This bouncing, talking keel structure can be fine-tuned for best action and applied to many well known fly patterns. Variations include continuing the keel filament around the hook point to form a weed-guard, and composing some of a filament on the hook-point side from foam to lighten the fly and stabilize it hook-point up and snag-resistant.

The traps are pre-packaged with attracting liquid prior to sale, and then sealed with a peel-off film in a manner that prevents leakage prior to use. When the trap is about to be used, the peel-off film is removed to expose both a trap entry and a pivotable stand. A rain/sun shield is then mounted on the stand, preferably with the upper portion of the stand projecting through the shield to form part of a hanger.

Cold flow properties of, for example, JP-8 jet fuel are improved by addition to the fuel of an oil-soluble, polar nitrogen-containing compound. Demonstratable cold flow improvement of such fuels at temperatures of about ?53° C. and lower is shown.

A plurality of exhaust apertures are arranged within the top wall for exhausting the combustion fumes from the outer chimney flue. The fuel filling portion fills the passage with fuel. The reformer portion forms a passage to one side of the fuel filling portion in the substrate, and the CO remover forms a passage at an opposite side of the fuel filling portion in the substrate. The cover covers the top of the substrate and seals the passages. The fuel filling portion partitions the reformer portion's heat absorbing reaction and the CO remover's heat radiating reaction and induces a reforming reaction. The reacting efficiencies of the reformer portion and the CO remover substantially increase. Because a compact air supplying pump can be used due to an inner pressure reduction in the CO remover, the entire device can be miniaturized.

Preferred embodiments of the present invention use a magnetically assisted (or resistant) door sealing mechanism to form a seal, or preferably, a tight seal, upon closure at a sealing area having a door sealing surface and a corresponding HVAC housing or other such surface, which blocks or restricts air flow in that area of the HVAC unit. By using a magnetically assisted door sealing mechanism, and, especially a mechanism at a sealing surface and a corresponding surface, a seal, and even an almost air tight seal that is resistant to opening inappropriately when air flow or pressure increases or when influenced by gravity, and can be formed while still allowing for the door to be opened, with a minimum of effort, when necessary.

The symmetry of the wall, roof, floor and door components also minimizes component shapes and simplifies enclosure construction.
