Abstract: A guy marker apparatus for use on an associated guy wire includes a substantial rectangular body member having opposite parallel first and second edges and is foldable along a longitudinal axis parallel with the first and second edges. First and second connection portions are disposed at the first and second edges, respectively, for selectively interlocking the edges in slidable abutment to hold the main body member in a folded tubular conformation and selectively in a helical conformation. A tool for applying a guy marker apparatus onto an associated guy wire includes a main body member, an alignment portion adapted to guide the guy marker in an unlocked state relative to the main body member, and a production portion adapted to guide the marker in a self-locked state out from the main body member. A forming wall disposed between the alignment and production portions moves. the marker material between the unlocked and self-locked state based on relative movement between the tool and the guy marker material.

The further includes at least one capsule expulsion station (XI), which has a capsule expulsion device (19) for axially expelling the capsules (C) from the respective receptacle (14A); guide flaps (24A, 24B) which are individually controllable by means of an actuating device (39) and are pivotable relative to a pivot shaft (31) and are each assigned to one capsule receptacle (14A) and which each have two guideways (33A, 34A), triggerable by means of the actuating device (39), for the respective associated capsules (A); and partitions, which separate the guideways (33A, 34A) of adjacent guide flaps (24A, 24B) from one another. The partitions are each an integrated component of one guide flap (24A, 24B) (FIG. 3).

Abstract: A new use for an ice cream cone holder, the holder comprising a cylindrical portion with an open end and a closed end and a disc portion about the open end. The new use is preventing pest entry into bottles by placing a closed end of the ice cream cone holder over an open bottle so that the holder engages at least one of a side wall, a top, and a pour spout mounted in a top of a bottle. Using the holder in such a fashion is surprisingly effective, efficient of user resources, and easy to use.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention generally provide a containment system having integrated bubble tight-dampers. In another embodiment, the containment system includes an integral auto-scan mechanism disposed in the housing of the containment system so that a filter element, disposed in the housing, may be leak tested without accessing the interior of the housing. In yet another embodiment, a method for testing a filter disposed in a containment system includes challenging an upstream side of a filter element disposed in a housing of the containment system with a test aerosol, and automatically moving a probe disposed within the housing to obtain samples for leak testing.

Abstract: A system for collecting, treating and disposing of waste fluid includes a station that features transfer, flushing and mixing pumps as well as a bowl that holds the waste fluid. The waste fluid is collected in a container mounted on a cart. The cart container connects to the station so that the waste fluid is transferred from the cart to the station bowl by the transfer pump. The flushing pump has an inlet that communicates with a source of water and a disinfectant dispenser. The flushing pump is used to flush both the cart container and the station bowl, the latter of which communicates with a drain system. The flushing pump also delivers disinfectant to the waste fluid in the station bowl. The inlet and outlet of the mixing pump communicate with the bowl so that it mixes the bowl contents. Buffer is provided to the circulating waste fluid until the pH level drops to a predetermined level.

Abstract: An engine intake air filter with a captive tooless fastener for securing the engine intake air filter. The tooless fastener comprises a shaft and an associated body. The body has two arms oriented about 180° from one another. The shaft is threaded through a sealing washer and an aperture in an closed end cap of the air filter. The shaft expanded or a component secured to the shaft such that the shaft cannot be removed from the end cap. The body has a threaded inner diameter that mates with a threaded portion of a central shaft in an air filter housing. The arms of the body are rotated to screw the fastener and the shaft of the housing together. When tightened, the aperture is closed by the sealing washer. To remove the air filter, arms are rotated in the reverse direction and the fastener is unscrewed from the shaft of the housing. In this loosened position the shaft floats in the aperture. A person in the field can insert his or her fingers under the arms.

Abstract: A composition of a multiple-layered ceramic fiber filter paper and method for manufacturing for use in a filter apparatus removes particulate from high temperature gas streams. In this application, ceramic fibers of varying diameters and lengths are combined in such a manner to yield different specific average pore sizes in segregated locations in the filter paper. The fiber combinations are formed into a paper sheet using a method that produces two or three porosity zones with different average pore sizes in each layer or porosity zone. The porosity gradient from large at gas stream entry to fine at gas stream exit increases particle-holding capacity while reducing the filtered gas backpressure experienced in single sized porosity layer media.
