In addition, there is hydrogen-oxygen exothermal energy from reactions of hydrogen subsequently produced as a by-product. The energy produced from these reactions is equivalent to the energy content of gasoline. Aluminum is easily available in large quantities. It is economical to use, and is an environmentally friendly fuel. The concepts in this invention promise to make solid aluminum fuel the universal fuel of the future.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel candle body composition for colored flame candles, which can be directly press-molded or provided in any containers in a form of bulk materials and combined with a candle combustion wick to form a colored flame candle. The candle body composition according to the present invention is also suitable for DIY articles. Compared with conventional solid colored flame candles, the colored flame candle according to the present invention can be manufactured in a simple manner, with the heat shaping step being dispensed with and the problem of environmental pollution being largely avoided. Furthermore, the colored flame candle according to the present invention has a good ignition property, a pure and sharp flame and a high retention of flame, and is an environmentally friendly product.

Abstract: Slurry fuels and associated methods are disclosed herein. One aspect of the invention is directed toward a slurry fuel that includes a liquid hydrocarbon based fuel suitable for use in an air-breathing power plant, metallic particles (e.g., boron), and a fluoropolymer (e.g., polytetrafluoroethylene). In selected embodiments the slurry fuel can further include a surfactant (e.g., polyolefin amide alkeneamine and/or Product NB463S84 produced by GE Betz, Inc.). Other aspects of the invention are directed toward a slurry fuel that includes a liquid hydrocarbon based fuel, metallic particles, and a surfactant having a composition that lowers the surface tension of the liquid hydrocarbon based fuel and reduces the tendency for the metallic particles to separate from the liquid hydrocarbon based fuel.

Abstract: A window assembly is disclosed that allows a person to easily clean the exterior side of a windowpane, and prolongs the life of the window assembly. A window assembly (200) according to the present invention comprises a fixed window frame (202), tilt-latch assemblies (1, 2), and upper and lower window sashes (203, 204) comprised of a plurality of window sash rails, wherein each window sash rail has an outer wall (302), a front wall (300), and a rear wall (304). The tilt-latch assemblies (1, 2) secure the upper and lower window sashes (203, 204) within the fixed window frame (202). The tilt-latch assembly (1) is inserted into a slot (301) that is located on the outer wall (302) of the window sash rail for receiving a tilt-latch assembly (1). A lip (314) is located between a corner edge (212), wherein two sash rails meet to form a corner, and the outer edge (310) of the slot (308). The (314) can help prevent stress failure of the window sash rail.
