  • Patent number: 7192056
Abstract: A webbing insertion member in which a webbing hardly shifts within an opening during the operation of a pretensioner mechanism. The insertion member includes a bearing portion and an opening through which the webbing passes. In order to prevent the shifting of the webbing in the longitudinal direction of the opening, a pair of webbing guides are formed to project from a surface of the bearing portion on a rear side of the insertion member. The webbing is suspended on the bearing portion and passes between the guides. Therefore, the guides confront with the left and right sides of the webbing thereby preventing the webbing from shifting in the lateral direction.

  • Patent number: 7192075
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sun visor for a vehicle and a method of manufacturing the sun visor. The structure of the sun visor is complicated and the cost thereof is increased when an elastically compressive elastic body is installed between both first and second core split bodies of a core body to prevent the wrinkles from occurring in the vicinity of the corner fused parts of the skins. In view of the above problem, an object of the present invention is to prevent wrinkles from occurring near the corner fused parts of skins with a relatively simple structure. In the present invention, a corner tension part, for preventing the displacement of the corner fused part toward the corner part of the core body, is disposed between the corner part of the core body and the core fused part of the skins.

  • Patent number: 7192077
Abstract: An improved air scoop device utilizes vortex loops to reduce drag. The apparatus includes a sliding self-retracting portion having a scoop intake, a first chamber area and curved rear deflector with exhaust. The vortex loops connect the curved deflector area with the intake area. The vortex impeller apparatus also has a base plate portion, with a stop and springs. It is mounted at the truck trailer rear end. The base plate portion of the apparatus supports the sliding portion. The moving truck causes the sliding portion to extend back beyond the base plate and trailer's rear. The apparatus' exhaust ventilates the low-pressure area behind the moving truck trailer. When the truck stops, springs or compression pistons retract the sliding portion back over the base plate. In this retracted position, the apparatus fits flush. Variable surface texturing may be applied to the impellers and truck trailer's rounded trailing edges.

  • Patent number: 7192078
Abstract: The present invention relates to a shield for retractable devices that are part of or attached to vehicles, such as school buses, to protect the retractable device from damage or destruction from air movement. While such retractable devices are bolted or otherwise securely fastened to the vehicle, the retractable devices are susceptible to being damaged or torn off of the vehicle due to air movement such as headwinds, wind gusts, and turbulence from passing vehicles. The current invention overcomes the susceptibility to damage of the retractable devices from air movement by shielding the retractable device from such air movement. The current invention may include a shock absorber assembly to minimize or eliminate noisy vibration from the shield. As such, the present invention provides protection for retractable devices on vehicles from air movement with minimal additional noise.

  • Patent number: 7192089
Abstract: In the case of a vehicle seat (1), in particular rear seat or rear seat bench, having a seat part (2) and having a backrest (3) which has a foldover function brought about with an electric drive, the foldover function bringing about a folding over of the backrest (3) or of a backrest part (4, 5) relative to the seat part (2), an adjustment of the inclination and the folding over are to take place in a simple and convenient manner. This is achieved by the electric drive (6) having an inclination-adjusting function, it being possible for the adjusting speed of the electric drive (6) to be changed in such a manner that a different speed can be set in each case for the inclination-adjusting function and for the foldover function.

  • Patent number: 7192090
Abstract: A recliner adjuster for appropriately adjusting an inclination of a seat back with respect to a seat cushion includes a worm rotatably mounted on the seat cushion, and a helical gear held in engagement with the worm and mounted on the seat back via an auxiliary locking mechanism. The auxiliary locking mechanism includes a pair of external gears connected to the helical gear and held in engagement with a portion of the seat back, and a pair of internal teeth mounted on the seat cushion so as to accommodate the pair of external gears therein, respectively. During normal use, the seat back is held at a predetermined angle with respect to the seat cushion by the engagement of the helical gear with the worm, while when a load greater than a predetermined value is inputted to the seat back, the pair of external gears are partly deformed to engage with the pair of internal teeth, respectively, to thereby hold the seat back at the predetermined angle with respect to the seat cushion.

  • Patent number: 7192091
Abstract: A folding sling chair is provided in which members of the chair frame incorporate internally mounted hinges, preferably invisible hinges. When an invisible hinge is in a neutral or stop position, only a seam or dividing line is visible; the internally mounted hinge structure is invisible. In operation, the hinge structure of the invisible hinge is less likely to interfere with a pliable fabric sling than in conventional designs. For example, the side rails of a seat of a folding sling chair may fold at invisible hinges mounted internally within the side rails, which can be angled to create an adjustable backrest. Various other applications of the present invention include angled and adjustable foot rests, head rests, chaise lounge arrangements, folding task chairs, etc.

  • Patent number: 7192094
Abstract: An auger support assembly for use with an augering system for mining which bores a pair of side-by-side holes through a coal seam using dual side-by-side augers. Each auger includes a drilling section which is followed by a series of auger flights for conveying the bored coal back out of the respective hole. The augers are connected together in axially aligned pairs and are supported by the auger support assembly. The auger support assembly includes a pair of bearing housings that are disposed on drive shafts which extend outwardly from the first ends of a first pair of parallel augers and are received within the second ends of a second pair of parallel augers. The bearing housings are connected to each other by a tie bar. A single support leg extends downwardly from approximately the mid-section of the tie bar to engage the ground ledge that is formed between the counter rotating augers.

  • Patent number: 7192100
Abstract: A self propelled power machine is provided with a drive system and a traction lock mechanism. The drive system includes a speed range selector and associated mechanism that can operate the power machine in high and low speed ranges. The traction lock mechanism, when applied stops the drive system from moving the wheels of the power machine. A controller insures the drive system is in the low speed range prior to engaging the traction lock mechanism. The controller determines whether the drive system is operating in a low speed range or a high speed range. If the drive system is in the high speed range, the controller places the drive system in the low speed range and the controller then applies the traction lock after a short time delay to provide some dynamic slowing of the drive. If the system is already in the low speed range, the drive system remains there and the controller applies the traction lock.
