Abstract: A system includes a container including projections equi-spaced around a neck region. Each of the projections includes a cam surface, a lock surface, a ramp, and a clamping surface. The system also include a closure including a closure plane and a circumferentially depending outer skirt extending from the closure plane, a tamper-evident arrangement frangibly connected to an edge of the outer skirt opposite the closure plane, and pairs of lugs equi-spaced around an inner sidewall formed by the outer skirt and the tamper-evident arrangement. A lock lug of each pair of lugs is arranged on the tamper-evident arrangement and a sealing lug of each pair of lugs is arranged on the outer skirt. In the system, each lock lug is adapted to engage the cam surface of a corresponding projection during an initial application operation. The lock lug is adapted to engage the lock surface of the corresponding projection after the initial application operation.

Abstract: Disclosed is a medicament dispenser having a base unit and a replaceable refill container. The base unit has one or more sensors for sensing one or more conditions of the medicament dispenser and a display for displaying indicia representing a state of the medicament dispenser. First indicia show the base unit and second indicia show the refill container. The display of at least one of said first and said second indicia is selectively controllable independently of the display of the other of said first and said second indicia in order to indicate said one or more sensed conditions of the medicament dispenser.

Abstract: A holding device for pharmaceutical blisters has an upper part and a lower part between which a pharmaceutical blister is disposed. Ejection openings are disposed in both the upper part and the lower part in a pattern that corresponds to the pattern of the contained dragées. An ejection device that can execute a linear movement and/or a rotary movement in relation to the upper part has an ejection ram, which optionally can be guided into a certain ejection opening of the upper part to remove a corresponding dragée. The ejection device has a contact element, which in the desired ejection position short-circuits a pair of contact points with a contact field to display the desired ejection position. The contact field for each possible ejection position short-circuits only one pair of contact points corresponding to the desired ejection position through the contact field.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for the dispensing of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. In a first aspect of the present invention, a stack of tags is described. In one aspect, the tags are arranged in the stack so that alternate parallel ends of the tags in the stack are removably attached to next tags in the stack by an adhesive material. In an alternative aspect, the tags are arranged in the stack so that the same ends of the tags are removably attached to next tags in the stack by the adhesive material. In a further aspect of the present invention, a dispenser for dispensing tags is described. The dispenser includes a container defining a volume. The container has an outer surface having a slot shaped opening therethrough that opens into the volume. A stack of tags are present in the container. The tags are removably attached to adjacent tags in the stack in an alternating fan-folded configuration.

The vacuum relief valve permits relief of vacuum from the reservoir without moving parts or valves. A chamber about an opening of an inverted container with an impeller within the chamber which, on rotation, dispenses fluid from the chamber.

Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid dispenser, in particular to a dosing dispenser with a discharge tubule with an integral outlet duct for delivering a liquid via an outlet port and an integrated return duct which extends along the outlet duct, a discharge tubule kit system and a discharge tubule. The liquid dispenser contains a supplying device with a supplying or dosing cylinder, a supplying or dosing plunger which can be moved back and forth therein for supplying the liquid from a container to an outlet duct in order to dispense the liquid via an outlet port of the outlet duct, the said outlet duct being formed in an integral manner by a discharge tubule. According to the invention, the outlet port is formed for connection to the return duct by means of a connecting device, which extends integrally in the discharge tubule along the outlet duct.

Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing a fluid includes a housing, a fluid reservoir placed in the housing, and a pump. The pump includes a nozzle protruding therefrom and an operating part connected to the fluid reservoir. When the operating part is moved from an initial position, in which flow of fluid through the pump from the fluid reservoir to the nozzle is substantially prevented, in a direction of pumping, fluid is pumped from the fluid reservoir to the nozzle. The dispenser also includes a resilient element which, upon movement of the operating part from the initial position, exerts a force opposed to the direction of pumping. The nozzle forms part of the operating part and is at an angle relative to the direction of pumping. The engagement mechanism externally engages an area of a part of the nozzle protruding from the operating part.

Abstract: An assembly including a pump attachment particularly adapted to form an nonaerosol pump sprayer. The attachment includes a body, a shaft, a piston, an inlet valve and a biasing member. The body defines an elongate chamber having the first end, second end, and an interior wall extending between the first end and second end. The shaft extends through the opening in the first end of the chamber. The piston is reciprocally mounted within the chamber and includes an outer annular surface sized and shaped to form a sealing engagement with the interior wall of the body.

Abstract: A packaged gas-solubilized product is described. The gas-solubilized product contains a first gas with a first pressure. The product is placed into a flexible inner container made of a gas-impermeable material. The inner container is hermetically disposed inside an outer container. A space formed between the inner and the outer containers is charged with a second gas with an initial charging pressure. The initial charging pressure is higher than the pressure of the first gas contained in the product. Additionally, a product dispenser in a fluid connection with the product contained in the internal container is included. The present invention also provides a method of packaging a gas-solubilized product to prevent a change in the concentration of the gas dissolved in the product during its storage and dispensing.

Abstract: A closure is removably attachable to a container and comprises a dispensing orifice and a tubular valve element that is biased closed blocking communication of the container with the orifice. By inverting the container so that a liquid contents of the container exerts pressure on the valve element, or by squeezing the container causing the liquid contents to exert pressure on the valve element, the valve element opens communication with the dispensing orifice allowing the liquid contents to be dispensed from the container. On removing the pressure from the valve element, the valve element resiliently closes the dispensing orifice.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a mono-block stopper adapted to deliver gas during pouring of molten metal comprising a stopper body having an internal chamber (1) and a gas discharge port (2), a bore (3) connecting the internal chamber (1) to the gas discharge port (2), calibrating means (4) being provided in the bore (3) to provide a restricted path. This stopper is characterised by the fact that the calibrating means comprise a rod (4) having at least one axially-extending gas passages therealong, the gas passage(s) having a section such as to offer a predetermined resistance to flow. The stopper of the invention is far more reliable and can be easily adapted to various operational parameters.

Abstract: Apparatus for a one-piece, rigid paper hanger 16 with sufficient strength to hold a plurality of clothes having a printed color process with UV-coated inks to create two advertising areas 14 that are equal to the entire hanger surface area with detachable advertising cards 12 die cut therein, one on each side of the hanger and a locking mechanism 18 to hold multiple hangers of the same design together. The hanger 16 may be made from one piece of paper without a butterfly fold from paper of sufficient rigidity. In addition, the hook portion of the hanger 16 can have a coding system 22 comprised of bands of color substantially adjacent having a predetermined meaning to the coding system user.

Abstract: The invention herein relates to an adjustable dual straps structure allowing the user to comfortably back-carry a golf bag and mainly consists of two shoulder straps and two support straps. One end of the shoulder straps being buckled together while the other ends thereof are respectively tied to a golf bag. The buckled end of both shoulder straps holds a male buckle, while the buckled end of both support straps holds a female buckle. Each male buckle being fastened to corresponding female buckle, meanwhile both female buckles are fastened on each other. When carrying the golf bag, the user can adjust this angle according to his preference, turning both shoulder straps until they reach the angle where the golf bag can be most comfortably carried.

Abstract: A vehicle article carrier having a cross bar which makes use of a pair of end supports for securing the cross bar to a pair of side rails. Each of the end supports includes an actuating member which is pivotally mounted to a housing of its associated end support. An inverted V-shaped biasing member is disposed within the housing and its outermost ends are captured within a first recess in the housing and a second recess formed in an internal wall of the actuating member. An over center action is employed to assist in biasing the actuating member into its unlocked and locked positions. The actuating member includes a locking post portion for engaging with one of a plurality of apertures formed along the length of its associated side rail. The end support can be constructed with a reduced number of independent component parts, thereby simplifying its construction and reducing its overall cost.

Each one of the side walls may have a bed rail. The sports rack comprises a front frame member, a rear frame member and a plurality of channel lengths. The front frame member is disposed adjacent the front wall and extends between the side walls. The rear frame member is disposed over the rear tail gate and also extends between the side walls. The plurality of channel lengths extends horizontally between the front and rear frame members. Each of the front and rear frame members comprises a pair of upright end plates that may be used to mount the sports rack on the bed rails.

The 3D antenna includes a plurality of coils which provide a 3D reading field in which all transponders in the reading field may be interrogated and also includes noise compensation coils at opposite ends of the reading field to minimize electromagnetic radiation from the antenna and also minimize noise from external sources. The radio frequency transponder includes a housing, a substrate within the housing, an integrated circuit and a printed circuit board mounted on the substrate. A coil is mounted on the substrate such as to be spaced therefrom with the spacing of the coil from the substrate enabling the encapsulant to completely surround the coil.

A preferred system is directed to a scanner which includes a laser diode and a beam splitter for generating first optical beam and a second optical beam, the first optical beam being directed toward one side of a scanning optical element such as a rotating polygon mirror and to a first mirror array, the second optical beam being simultaneously directed toward a second optical element such as another side of the rotating polygon mirror and then to a second and a third mirror array. The first mirror array is configured to generate a scan pattern through a vertical window and the second and third mirror arrays are configured to generate scan patterns passing through a horizontal window. In combination, the three mirror arrays generate three sets of scan lines so as to scan five sides of a six-sided item (e.g., the bottom and all lateral sides of an object) being passed through the scan volume.

A swirl disk, adjacent to the orifice disk, has opposing surfaces and a sidewall extending between the opposing surfaces. The sidewall of the swirl disk forms a periphery for centering the swirl disk, a hollow for creating a vortex adjacent to the orifice and an inlet for channeling fluid from the periphery to the hollow. A plug is fixed within the inlet chamber of the body for retaining the orifice and swirl disks as well as defining an annulus area in fluid communication with the inlet of the swirl disk.

The fuel injection valve comprises a sealing member (27) for sealing a gap between the cylinder (3) and piston (7), and a linking hole (29) formed in the piston (7) for connecting two chambers (5, 6) to each other. The size and/or shape of the linking hole (29) is set such that when a force for moving the cylinder (3) or piston (7) at a lower speed than the driving speed of the actuator (9) is generated due to differential thermal expansion between members, the viscous fluid moves between the two chambers (5, 6) through the linking hole (29), and when a force for moving the cylinder (3) at a higher speed than the force generated by the differential thermal expansion is generated by the actuator (9), the viscous fluid cannot pass through the linking hole (29).

Abstract: In a waste pulping apparatus, an impeller assembly comprises a rotating blade for pulping solid waste to form a slurry, the rotating blade having an axis of rotation, a base and a plurality of ears that axially extend away from the base. The impeller assembly also includes a sieve ring having axially opposed first and second ends, an inner cylindrical surface and an outer cylindrical surface, where the sieve ring encircles the base of the rotating blade at the first end so that a portion of the ears are radially spaced inside the inner cylindrical surface so that the ears rotate within the sieve ring. A plurality of pumping vanes are also provided for pumping the slurry, where each pumping vane has a pumping surface that rotates radially outside the outer cylindrical surface of the sieve ring. Preferably, the pumping vanes can be easily changed to allow for various head condition while providing a predetermined pumping capacity.

Abstract: A crushing machine comprises a pair of crushing rolls which are designed to be rotatable towards each other and away from each other. A side plate is provided on the outside of each roll. The crushing rolls have teeth which are shorter than conventional crushing teeth. The teeth on each roll are aligned with each other to provide cavities in which the crushing can occur. Rotation of the crushing rolls towards each other provides a centre sizing action to crush material (e.g. coal) into a larger particle size. Rotation of the crushing rolls away from each other provides a side sizing action to crush material between the roll and the side plates to a smaller particle size. Thus, the machine can crush material into two distinctly different particle sizes without any modification being required to the machine, the dual sizing occurring by reversing the rotation of the rolls.

Abstract: A tumbler for tumbling concrete products comprises a rotatable cylindrical drum having an input end that is slightly elevated relative to an output end. Tire retread strips are placed side-by-side on the radially inner surface of the drum and extend along its length. Clamps having lateral arms extending on either side are engaged with lateral tread grooves on the strips. The clamps are bolted to the drum between adjacent strips thereby securing the strips to the radially inner surface of the drum.

This brake operation structure includes a mounting tube, an operation knob, and a screw member. The mounting tube is formed to project from the reel unit. The operation knob is formed in a closed-end tubular shape to accommodate the mounting tube. The screw member has two male threaded portions that have a tubular shape when coupled to one another. The operation knob is pivotably retained to the mounting tube when the screw member engages an outer peripheral portion of the mounting tube and an inner peripheral portion of the operation knob. Abstract: Fishing reel control apparatus, comprising a pulley carried for rotation in opposite directions; a ratchet wheel carried for rotation; a spring wire wrapped about a portion of the pulley and having a projecting end; a pivoted dog connected to the wire end so that endwise displacement of the wire effected by pulley rotation operates to release the dog from the ratchet wheel when the pulley is rotated in one direction, whereby a fishing line spool attached to the ratchet wheel is free to rotate, as the line pays out from the spool; and whereby when the pulley is rotated in opposite direction the wire is displaced to pivot the dog into engagement with the ratchet wheel, and the spool is rotated by the ratchet wheel to wrap the line as the pulley is rotated relative to the wire.
