Abstract: The camera support base of the invention is designed to meet the need for a stable, lightweight, compact, economical fixture that can be removably affixed to a photographic camera to safely support the camera when it is set down out-of-hand. A preferred basic design of the camera support base comprises a three legged device that assumes the overall general shape of a “T”, having a flat horizontal top portion or plate bisected by a flat perpendicular vertical portion in the same plane. The widths of the top portion and the vertical portion can be the same or different with a width wide enough at the juncture of the two portions to assure contact with the bottom part of a camera sufficient to support the camera and secure it to the base.

Abstract: An optical telecommunication system with automatic channel switching is disclosed. The system is provided with two symmetrical fiber channels and two subsystems. Each subsystem is formed by two 2×2 optical switches that are connected to each end of the primary and secondary channels, including an input light source, an optical receiver, multiple fiber optic power meters, and a control circuit. Data signals are normally sent over the primary channel, while test signals are passed through the secondary channel. The fiber optic power meters are connected to the receiving ends to monitor the power level of transmitted signals over the two channels simultaneously. If a line disconnection is detected, the control circuit automatically initiates a channel switching between the primary channel and secondary channel, and yet optical signals are transmitted and received transparently with high efficiency and reliability.

Abstract: A device for joining a first component A and a second component B while leaving a joining gap SP includes a bolt 4 and a compensating coil 2 for compensating tolerances of the joining gap. The compensating coil is adapted to be fixed to the bolt 4 by frictional engagement means and/or releasable positive engagement means. The dimensions of the compensating coil are adapted to a helical rim hole portion 6 of the first component A such that actuation of the bolt 4 causes the compensating coil to rotate through the helical rim hole portion until it fills the joining gap for the purpose of tolerance compensation, and the frictional engagement means and/or releasable positive engagement means is overcome by further actuation of the bolt 4 so that the bolt can be screwed into a threaded hole of the second component B to join the two components.

Abstract: A sideward clipping apparatus aims to clip and release an article through double-depressing actions in cyclic operations. It has a sliding member which includes an upper clipping portion and a lower clipping portion that are coupled through a first base and a second base. The lower clipping portion synchronously drives the upper clipping portion through the first base at an initial force receiving state to form a first fan moving track. The lower clipping portion is in contact with the sliding member and moved vertically to a second position under the force to drive the upper clipping portion through the second base to form a second fan moving track. Thereby the upper clipping portion and the lower clipping portion form a clipping space when the sliding member is moved to the second position to accurately clip the article.

The lock arm is mounted to a pin which is positioned in a passage through the lock body. The pin has a specially shaped head for engagement by a special tool. A nut is threaded onto a bottom end of the lock body at a bottom side of the cover. The lock arm can be rotated with the pin from an unlocked position to a locked position, the arm in the locked position rotated under or into engagement with a support or other structure which underlies the manhole cover. The lock arm is retained in its locked position by being biased upwardly to a position where tabs on the lock arm fit into a slot in the lock body.

Abstract: A manhole comprised of four parts is provided. The manhole is comprised of an outer-manhole pipe, an inner-manhole pipe, a manhole cover, and a support pipe. Pluralities of concave arc band shape blades are horizontally developed along the inner surface of the outer manhole pipe. Same number of convex arc band shape blades is horizontally developed along the outer surface of the inner manhole pipe. The inner-manhole pipe is inserted into the outer-manhole pipe vertically when the two kinds of arc shape blades aligned to make pass way for each other. When a desired height is reached, workers rotate the inner-manhole pipe 60 degrees horizontally and put down the inner-manhole pipe. Then the two kinds of blades are overlapped and fix the height of the manhole cover. A support pipe, comprised of two pieces of equal hemi-pipe connected one end, is engaged between the top flange of the inner-manhole pipe and top end of the outer manhole pipe to hold and support the distance between them.

Abstract: A pre-fabricated concrete slab system and method have matching rectangular slabs with cooperatively fitting male and female type connectors which fit adjacent to each other in a checkerboard fashion. The slabs include spaced reinforcing rods extending longitudinally and transversely therethrough. In at least some of the slabs, the rods' distal ends protrude outwardly away from one or more side edges of the slabs to form a plurality of male connectors. Correspondingly, at least some of the slabs include a plurality of corresponding female sockets on one or more sides thereof, each female socket receiving a corresponding male connector when dropped therein. Through interconnection of corresponding female sockets and male connectors by steel reinforcing bars extending in both the longitudinal and transverse directions, a continuous tension reinforcement is established between adjacent slabs in both the longitudinal and transverse directions.

Abstract: A flexible arch-shaped corrugated structure includes a plastic structure that can be light weight and easy to handle, while at the same time having suitable strength for carrying loads. By suitably engineering the corrugations, the need for structural ribs can be eliminated and thinner sidewalls can be used. The structure can include a series of vertically-oriented arched corrugations having surfaces that convexly arch or curve upwardly as well as laterally. Having both upward and lateral arched or curved features on the corrugations can provide increased strength to the corrugations and the structure. In a particular embodiment, the plastic structure is a leaching chamber. The structure can include access or inspection port structures disposed at the ends of the structure. The ports are dimensioned to mate with the opposing port of a like structure. In particular, the mated structures can articulate or rotate about the mated ports.

Abstract: A sleeve 10 for introduction of a pressurized fluid, which is attached to a rockbolt main body 1, comprises a cylindrical projecting part 11 of a large diameter and a bearing-plate-holding part 12 of a diameter smaller than an aperture of a bearing plate 6. The projecting part 11 and the bearing-plate-holding part 12 preferably has the same inner diameter. When the rockbolt main body 1 is embedded in a bedrock or ground, the bearing plate 6 locates on an edge of a rockbolt-setting hole of the bedrock or ground, and the bearing-plate-holding part 12 extends through the bearing plate 6 into the rockbolt-setting hole. Since the projecting part 11 and the bearing plate 6 are disposed on a sprayed concrete layer, a projection height of the rockbolt is remarkably decreased. Consequently, lining concrete 8 is applied onto the sprayed concrete layer with ease, and the bedrock or ground is reinforced with high reliability.
