Abstract: A fuel delivery system for supplying liquid gas fuel to an engine is disclosed. The fuel can be supplied solely to the engine or together with diesel fuel. The fuel delivery system includes an injector (20) for receiving the liquid gas, and for ejecting the liquid gas in vapour form to the engine E. A bubble preventing mechanism (40, 44, 48; 8, 203, 209, 208) is supplied for preventing the liquid gas from bubbling or boiling in the injector which would impair the ejection of fuel from the injector. The preventing means comprises cooling means which may use a coolant to cool the injector. In one embodiment, the coolant is in the form of bubbled vapour which is directed away from the injector (20) and enters a chamber (206) in which the injector (20) is located, so that the vapour cools the injector (20). The vapour (20) can pass to a vapour block (208) for supply to the intake air of the engine so the vapour is supplied back to the engine together with fuel ejected by the injector (20).

Abstract: A device and method for producing energy from a dilute VOC gas stream. The device includes a concentrator that concentrates a dilute VOC gas stream into a concentrated VOC fuel. The concentrated VOC fuel is supplied to the fuel intake of an engine. The device is operated by adsorbing the dilute VOC onto an adsorbing media within a concentrator. The concentrator increases the concentration of VOC per unit volume. The adsorbed VOC are then desorbed to form a concentrated VOC fuel stream. The concentrated VOC fuel stream may be either liquefied VOC or a more concentrated VOC gas stream. The concentrated VOC fuel stream is then directed to an engine to produce kinetic or electrical energy.

Abstract: An apparatus and method to detect combustion conditions using ion signals for use in a feedback control of a reciprocation engine is presented. The ion signals are used as a feedback signal to control EGR and diesel injection timing. The apparatus is an ignition system with a spark plug type of sensor. The ignition system is used to provide a cold start mechanism for diesel engines and start of combustion for spark ignition engines. The ignition is combined with ion sensing feedback that can control the engine.

Abstract: A portable bow press apparatus and method for compressing an archery compound bow for relieving the tension from the cables and/or the bowstring. The method and apparatus are used for replacement or maintenance purposes of the archery compound bow. The preferred apparatus is mounted to a vehicle receiver hitch for field use and is designed to accommodate all styles of compound bows. Compression is provided to the bow press by any type of standard vehicle jack. The bow press is compartmentalized for stowage purposes.

Abstract: The invention is a multi-shot launcher adapted to launch ring airfoil projectiles. Each ring airfoil projectile is coupled to a sabot, the ring airfoil projectile and sabot mounted to a housing in a cartridge form. The cartridge has a length which is less than its diameter. The launcher includes a receiver defining a cartridge receiving area and a tubular passage through which the ring airfoil is launched from a fired cartridge. The launcher includes a trigger mechanism for firing a cartridge. The launcher includes an ejector for ejecting the housing of a spent cartridge from the receiving area and a loader for loading a new cartridge into the receiving area. The cartridge may be loaded from a magazine connected to the receiver.

Abstract: An assembly is disclosed, which may include at least one latch element having at least one retaining wall comprising a tapered surface. Further, the assembly may include at least one base element having at least one tapered side surface configured to couple to a respective tapered surface of the at least one retaining wall. Optionally, the latch element may include at least two retaining walls and the base element may include at least two tapered side surfaces. A movable locking element may be configured to be selectively positioned at a first position to couple the at least one base element to the at least one latch element and at least a second position to decouple the at least one base element and the at least one latch element. An archery system including such an assembly is disclosed as well as a method of coupling a base element to a latch element. Adjustable quivers and components are disclosed.

Abstract: Apparatuses and structures for dampening vibrational energy from a system are disclosed. Particularly, at least one dampening member including an elongated body comprising a resilient, pliable material may be coupled to the base via at least one coupling structure structured for coupling at least a portion of the elongated body of the at least one dampening member to the dampening apparatus. Such a structure or dampening apparatus may be incorporated or attached to an archery system. Specifically, an archery system or an archery accessory component (e.g., a quiver or sight) may include at least one dampening member including a elongated body comprising a resilient, pliable material and at least one coupling structure structured for accepting at least a portion of the elongated body of the at least one dampening member so as to couple the at least one dampening member to the archery bow or component thereof.

Abstract: A drywell table includes a top frame defining at least one opening configured to receive a serving pan therethrough and a heating plate disposed below the top frame. The drywell table also includes at least two heating fins extending between the heating plate and the top frame, and defining at least one row configured to receive the pan therein, wherein heat is transferred from the heating plate and heating fins to the serving pan via a sufficiently small air gap defined between the heating plate, heating fins and the serving pan, wherein the gap minimizes convection and radiation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat storage material composition comprising 20 to 100% by weight of a heat storage material, 80 to 0% by weight of crystalline polyolefin (B) and 50 to 0% by weight of an elastomer (C), and the heat storage material described above contains a side chain-crystalline polymer (A), wherein the heat storage material described above comprises preferably a higher ?-olefin polymer (a) containing 50 mole % or more of higher ?-olefin having 10 or more carbon atoms and a petroleum wax (b) in which a melting point (Tm) is higher by 10° C. or more than that of the polymer (a). Provided is a heat storage material composition which has less bleeding and stickiness and is excellent in stability at high temperature and which can meet a change in temperature such as a difference in room temperature when applied to a material for floor heating and can avoid a heating state deviated to high temperature or low temperature.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for recovering anaesthetics in anaesthetic treatment of a patient. The device comprises a housing having a first opening and a second opening for the formation of a flow path in the housing for a breathing medium. In the housing, an absorption body having the capacity of absorbing and desorbing anaesthetics is arranged. According to the invention, there is valve means for the switch-over between an active position, in which the flow path passes through the absorption body, and a passive position, in which the flow path does not pass through the absorption body. The absorption body retains unchanged location in the housing in both valve positions. The invention also relates to a method for, in a corresponding way, controlling a device for recovering anaesthetics.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a disposable male/female apparatus for oral infectionless sex comprising a viral-bacterial inhibitor mask for the lower face having a rectangular horizontal oriented-shaped oral cavity and a pair of opposing elastic string ear loops attached to the mask interior. The ear loops each have an accurate portion which may be grasped and stretched by a user to secure a snug fit to face. Also attached to the mask exterior is a non-latex barrier engaged and protruding therefrom by a user's lips and tongue in communication with the mask. Disposed within the outside surface of barrier is, with or without, a lubricated ribbed texture to enhance oral sex pleasure effects and a flavored lubricant that functions as a taste-bud preserver. Abstract: A tracheostoma cannula mounting, a cannula assembly incorporating such a mounting, and a method of mounting the same within a stoma are described. The mounting includes a generally planar sheet portion (2) provided with an aperture (4) therein of suitable size and shape to engage a channel portion of a tracheostoma cannula (21) in interference fit so as to present a rearward mounting face (18) adapted in use to lie against the skin of the tracheostoma patient in the vicinity of the stoma. The material from which the sheet (2) is fabricated comprises tacky gel material such as silicone gel at least in the vicinity of the mounting face (18), and is preferably made essentially entirely from such material.

Abstract: A fenestrated extremity surgical drape has improved seal integrity to reduce the occurrence of pathogenic contamination at the surgical site via migration through the seal. The seal has a non-linear configuration to eliminate uneven stress concentrations commonly located at the corners of rectilinear seals. An elastomeric apertured panel can be disposed between a film panel and a fiber/film laminate panel. These layers can be joined by a heat sealing operation along two spaced apart concentric seal locations ringing the aperture and a fenestration in the laminate panel. The assembly can then be affixed by adhering the underside(s) of one or more panels to a base drape, which has an opening aligned with the aperture and fenestration. A method of forming a fenestrated extremity surgical drape is also disclosed.

At the mouth temperature of 98.6 degrees F., the vertical component is held perfectly between the upper lip and teeth by the general pressure of lip musculature. There is a V-shaped notch in the midline of the vertical section to accommodate the maxillary labial frenum. The horizontal component provides a bite platform and a slit is located along the midline forming two rearwardly extending tabs to facilitate the curvature of the bite platform. Accommodative curvature of the vertical section is provided by spaces between the horizontal component and the ends of the vertical component forming deflectable wings in these regions.

The container has a mouthpiece at its top end through which smoke can be inhaled. An elongate pipe or stem extends through a side wall of the container. One end of the pipe is adapted to allow smoke to bubble up through the water in the container when in its upright position; the other end of the pipe has a receptacle or cone in which a quantity of tobacco may be burnt. A hollow tapered extension piece is provided in connection with the mouthpiece, and extends some distance into the container. The extension piece ends in a distal opening of reduced size relative to the mouthpiece, and is fitted with a valve member. In the event that the container is knocked over from its upright position the distal opening will be substantially above the water level so that water is inhibited from spilling out of the container through the mouthpiece.

Abstract: A cleaning material is disposed over a substrate. The cleaning material includes solid components dispersed within a liquid medium. A force is applied to the solid components within the liquid medium to bring the solid components within proximity to contaminants present on the substrate. The force applied to the solid components can be exerted by an immiscible component within the liquid medium. When the solid components are brought within sufficient proximity to the contaminants, an interaction is established between the solid components and the contaminants. Then, the solid components are moved away from the substrate such that the contaminants having interacted with the solid components are removed from the substrate.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for cleaning a process chamber using a fluorine gas, wherein the fluorine gas is at least partially recycled for further use in the cleaning cycle. The method includes generation of the fluorine, separation of fluorine from the waste gas of the process chamber and abatement of the waste. A nozzle is mounted on the leading end of a torpedo-shaped nozzle housing that is hingedly mounted to an elongate boom. The hinge allows the nozzle housing to pivot with respect to the elongate boom so that the nozzle is close to the residual concrete. The boom is retracted toward the mouth with the drum rotating in the mix direction and the nozzle oscillating so that it cuts through a swath of concrete. As the boom retracts, the torpedo-shaped nozzle housing maintains the nozzle close to the residual concrete on the drum and both sides of the helical fins. The nozzle sweeps an arc from about eighty to one hundred twenty degrees as it oscillates.

Pushing the trigger will disengage the portion with the aperture to unlock the extension for opening the umbrella. Also, turning the lock device will effect a subsequent section-less length adjustment of the shank.

Pushing the trigger will disengage the portion with the aperture to open the umbrella. Operating the lock device will effect a subsequent multi-sectional length adjustment of the shank.

Each respective solar cell is bound to a first and second corresponding metal counter-electrode that lies in a groove running lengthwise on the respective elongated solar cell. The solar cell assembly further comprises a plurality of internal reflectors. Each respective internal reflector in the plurality of internal reflectors is configured between a first and second elongated solar cell in the plurality of elongated solar cells such that a portion of the solar light reflected from the respective internal reflector is reflected onto the corresponding first and second elongated cell.
