Trailer add-ons are wheel mount shims and an axle housing draft sill pin receptacle. No add-ons are required for tractors. Highway-to-rail conversion involves securing a rail interface apparatus, consisting of rail carriage assemblies, bogies, and end coupler draft sills beneath each vehicle to align and bear loads-to-rails, and to provide draft load transfer. Staging is on paved grade slightly above rail level. Vehicle conversion is made without loading/unloading mechanized infrastructure, add-on weight, wheel removal, or powered actuators. Full use of inherent vehicle suspension and anti-roll devices is afforded. Draft sills, pneumatic brake lines, and knuckle couplers are employed for train configurations. The two steering axes extend through a bottom surface of the hull of the marine vessel.

Abstract: This invention is directed toward a device which provides buoyancy to objects with negative buoyancy in water. The invention comprises a water-sensitive trigger which, when activated, causes a compressed gas to exit a canister and enter a balloon, which expands, thereby causing the object to float, in cases where the device is attached to an item on a boat, or rise to the surface, in cases where the device is attached to a sunken object. There are a number of variable characteristics, including canister size, trigger fuse length, balloon configuration, and housing material that allow a user tremendous flexibility in selecting a proper size of the invention for the user's intended purpose. Other iterations of the invention provide breathing air for underwater purposes and means of keeping cars, boats, airplanes, etc., floating when they fall into water.

Abstract: A device for stabilizing or controlling the lowering or raising of a structure between the surface and the bed of the sea. The device includes at least one connection element of the cable or chain type. The connecting element has a first end that is connected to and wound on a winch located on board a floating support or ship on the surface, and a second end that is connected to a fastener element on the structure. The length of the connection element is such that the winch is capable of winding or unwinding the first end of the connection element so that a bottom portion of the connection element can hang beneath the fastener element.

Abstract: A propeller driven surfing device includes an elongated body defining an accommodation chamber for receiving a drive motor and a power supply therein. A propeller is driven by the drive motor, and is disposed outwardly and rearwardly of the elongated body. A shell member includes a front surrounding segment which surrounds and which is spaced apart from the elongated body to define a passageway therebetween, and a rear surrounding segment which extends rearwardly to terminate at a distal end that is disposed rearwardly of the propeller. The front surrounding segment and the distal end respectively define a water intake port and a water outlet port which are disposed upstream and downstream of the passageway, respectively, such that water flows from the intake port and out of the outlet port through the passageway.

Abstract: Two fuel tanks are situated on opposite sides of the central longitudinal axis of a boat. An inclinometer generates electric signals indicating the inclination of the boat about its longitudinal axis. The two tanks are connected hydraulically by at least one pipe with which a pump is associated. An electronic processing and control unit acquires and processes the signals emitted by the inclinometer and operates the pump, depending on said signals, so as to transfer fuel from one tank to another in order to reduce the inclination of the boat.

Abstract: A vessel positioning system maneuvers a marine vessel in such a way that the vessel maintains its global position and heading in accordance with a desired position and heading selected by the operator of the marine vessel. When used in conjunction with a joystick, the operator of the marine vessel can place the system in a station keeping enabled mode and the system then maintains the desired position obtained upon the initial change in the joystick from an active mode to an inactive mode. In this way, the operator can selectively maneuver the marine vessel manually and, when the joystick is released, the vessel will maintain the position in which it was at the instant the operator stopped maneuvering it with the joystick.

Abstract: An outboard motor steering control system operates at starting of the engine to compare the output of the steering wheel angle sensor which indicates the turned angle of the steering wheel and the output of the rotation angle sensor which indicates the rotation angle of the swivel shaft, determines whether there is a phase difference in steering angle therebetween, responds to any phase difference found by, at the time the boat operator turns the steering wheel, controlling the operation of the actuator connected to the swivel shaft so as to eliminate the difference, and further operates to inform the boat operator of the difference. Owing to this configuration, the difference can be eliminated without causing the boat operator to experience an unnatural feel.
