Said protective armour is characterised by a number of wire or thread binders (40,52), which pass through the textile laminate (14) in the layering direction (Z) of the textile layers (16, 34).

Abstract: A modular protective garment includes first and second protective components. The first protective component is configured to protect a portion of a body of a wearer of the garment. The first protective component includes a fabric made from a composite material, the fabric permitting air and water vapor to flow therethrough and being light-weight. The second protective component is also configured to protect a portion of the body of the wearer. A connector releasably attaches the first and second components.

Abstract: An article of apparel is disclosed that is at least partially formed from a material element having a substrate and a plurality of projections. The substrate has a first surface and an opposite second surface. The projections extend from the first surface of the substrate, and the projections each have terminal ends located opposite the substrate. The material element has a first permeability when the first surface has a convex configuration, and the material element has a second permeability when the first surface has a concave configuration, the first permeability being greater than the second permeability. The apparel may be reversible such that either the first surface or the second surface of the substrate faces outward.

Abstract: An article of safety outerwear has a main body piece that receives a portion of the body of a wearer in use. The main body piece includes a garment wall that defines inside and outside wall portions. The inside wall portion presents a smooth surface to the body of the wearer in use. The outside wall portion is adapted for constant exposure to environmental conditions and to protect against abrasion during working and/or athletic activity. The garment wall is formed at least in part from a vent portion, such that at least a portion of each of the inside and outside wall portions is defined thereby. The vent portion is constructed solely from one or more layers of a mesh material, and is safety rated with a flame resistant rating qualifying same for flame resistant use in hazardous environments. The mesh material operatively has an open texture for high breathability.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to a nursing shawl that can be worn by a woman to shield the woman's breasts while she nurses a small child. In one embodiment of the present invention, the nursing shawl is a one-piece garment constructed from a continuous piece of fabric and includes a top aperture through which a woman's head, neck, a first shoulder, and a first arm extend when the nursing shawl is worn. The nursing shawl wraps over the second shoulder, covering the second arm. The nursing shawl further includes two side edges that meet beneath the open first arm. The side edges can be fastened along the top portion, but are otherwise unfastened along the remaining length to provide access for attending to the small child beneath the nursing shawl and to provide a place for the small child's legs to extend.

Abstract: A faux-shirt girdle for use to shape and support the abdomen of a user while also serving to substantially cover a user's midriff and lower back regions is discloses. The girdle comprises a girdle portion and a shirt portion coupled to the bottom of the girdle portion. The girdle portion is configured to provide support to the user's abdomen region. The shirt portion is configured to cover the user's midriff, and to reduce migration of the lower portion of the girdle portion toward the user's chest line. The shirt portion attached to the bottom of the girdle portion and an elastic or resilient band attached to the top of the girdle portion both work to reduce migration or bunching of the girdle portion around the middle of the torso. The shirt portions can be made of any fabric and can be tucked into, or worn over, a user's other external clothing layer.

Abstract: The present invention disclosed a hanging disposable gloves cartridge, which includes a plurality of disposable gloves alignedly overlapped with each other to form a glove stack, wherein each of the disposable gloves has a perforated tear line transversely spanned thereon for separate a hand portion from a waist portion; a clamp holder, which includes a pair of mounting wings for substantially sandwiching the glove stack there between at a position above the tear lines of the disposable gloves, wherein each of the disposable gloves are made of two layers of film forming a hand cavity therebetween, a human hand is able to insert into the hand cavity to shell off an outermost dispose glove from the cartridge.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a glove as well as the manufacturing method for preparing thereof, the glove comprises a thin elastomeric film, the film comprising a co-polymer which is selected from a group consisting of polyvinyl chloride, oil-based liquid nitrile rubber (LNBR), pentanediol diisobutyrate (TXIB), di-isononyl phthalate and calcium zinc stabilizer. The glove prepared in such method inherited the characteristics of nitrile gloves but with a solid cost saving.

Abstract: Novel embodiments of hairbands are provided. The design of the hairbands allows them to be versatile so that they can be worn in a variety of ways such as bandana-style or scarf style; embellished or plain and scrunched or flat.

In a particular embodiment, the helmet includes an outer protective shell, an inner protective layer disposed substantially within the outer protective shell and configured to substantially enclose a wearer's head, and at least one intake port proximate a temple area of the helmet configured to direct airflow from an exterior of the helmet through the inner protective layer into an interior of the helmet.

Abstract: A crescent-shaped splash guard, encircling the part of the head to be washed, protects the eyes, ears and nose from soap and other solutions. It is placed centrally on the forehead above the eyes. Two opposing side portions extend from the center to above and behind the ears. The side portions form upper and lower edges providing a seal against the head. The side portions form troughs about the periphery, directing water and hair washing solutions to the side and back, and preventing solutions from dripping into the eyes, nose and ears. A handgrip in the splash guard's center provides a grip for a “hairwasher.” Holding the handgrip prevents the splash guard from shifting. The “hairwasher” applies pressure to the splash guard via the handgrip to ensure that all hair solutions are guided through the troughs and discharged away from the eyes, nose and ears.

The container further defines a second indention that is configured and arranged to permit clearance for a connecting member between a lever control arm in a toilet tank and the valve seat. The position of the first aperture is optionally disposed to the right or left of a center point of the second indention.

Abstract: A user controlling coin operating bidet assembly is comprised of a coin handling system with a coin collector box and an electrically operating bidet. The coin handling system contains optical coin validator, solenoid valves, coin flaps, optical coin counter, electronic timer, and microprocessor controlling those parts according to the signals triggered by the coins inserted. The electronic timer receives signal from the microprocessor and supplies power to another solenoid valve and a warm air blower connected to the bidet. A switch for selecting water and air is attached on the control panel of the bidet. 25 cents coin allows 30 seconds operation. Additional 25 cents inserted within 30 seconds extends the operation time for another 30 seconds. Emergency “HOLD” switch placed on the control panel holds the power to the bidet and stops the electric timer. Pressing “RESET” switch on the control board returns the bidet in a continuing mode.

The device includes a portion on which the assisting person can kneel and the device typically extends to and over the rim of the bath so as to allow a person's arms to be supported thereon at the rim of the bath. The device is formed of sheet material such as neoprene and is easily storable by moving the portion which can be kneeled upon between an in-use position in which the same lies on the floor and a storage position in which the same lies substantially parallel with and flush to the side wall of the bath. In one embodiment, the portion which can be kneeled upon can be selectively removed from the remainder of the device so as to allow the same to be stored separately and/or positioned appropriately for kneeling upon.

The body orienting harness can position a body, such an infant, with respect to the associated structure, such as a bed, bed frame or crib, a sheet, or a blanket for example. The harness may be integrated with a sheet or blanket in order to secure not only a body in position but also secure the sheet or blanket in position with respect to the body. The sheet, blanket, or other cover, can provide a slip cover for an underlying support surface, such as a mattress for example. Alternatively, the cover can be secured in other ways to form a pocket in association with other structure, such as a bed sheet for example. The harness can be mounted in association with the pocket to secure a body in position with the respect to the pocket and associated structure, such as a mattress, crib, etc.

Abstract: A device for supporting a patient is used with a computer-tomography (CT) device. The patient to be examined is to be introduced into an opening in a gantry of the CT device. The patient supporting device has a height-adjustable device disposed laterally with respect to the gantry opening and permits the height of a support for a patient to be adjusted. A support arm extends from the height-adjustable device to a fixture for supporting a stretcher and is rotatable with respect to the height adjustable device.
