Abstract: An electrical connection terminal of an embedded chip and a method for fabricating the same are proposed. Firstly, an insulating layer is provided on a circuit board integrated with a chip and is produced a plurality of first openings on the circuit board, wherein at least one of the first openings corresponds to a position of a conductive pad of the chip to expose the conductive pad. Then, a first metal layer is formed on the conductive pad and a conductive layer is formed on the surface of the first metal layer, insulating layer and the first openings. A patterned resist layer having a plurality of second openings is formed on the conductive layer to expose a part of the conductive layer to be subsequently deposited with a second metal layer, wherein at least one of the second openings of the resist layer is located correspondingly to the conductive pad. Subsequently, the second metal layer is formed on the exposed part of the conductive layer by an electroplating process.

Abstract: A method of mounting conductive balls comprises a step of setting, on a substrate, a mask that includes a plurality of apertures for disposing conductive balls on the substrate and a filling step. The filling step includes using a head that moves along a surface of the mask, holding a group of conductive balls in an area that is part of the surface of the mask, and moving the area so that parts of a path taken by the area overlap. By limiting the area where filling is carried out and moving the conductive balls while gathering the conductive balls in this area, it is possible to prevent losses for the conductive balls, to increase the filling efficiency, and to suppress the number of unfilled apertures.

The tool comprises a hub having first and second sides and an opening extending therethrough, the first side having first and second mating surfaces configured to mate with the shroud and casing mating surfaces, respectively. The hub has a distance between the planes in which the first and second mating surfaces lie, and the hub distance is less than the distance between the planes in which the inlet housing inner and outer mating surfaces lie.

Abstract: A maintenance tool for a gas turbine engine includes a housing coupled to the gas turbine engine, and a drive portion inserted at least partially through the housing. The drive portion is configured to enable the gas turbine engine to be selectively rotated during non-operational periods. Moreover, the maintenance tool is coupled to the gas turbine engine during normal operation.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for heating a roller that is used in the production and/or finishing of a web of material, particularly a paper web or paperboard web. According to said method, the heat required for heating the roller is generated at least in part inside the roller by combusting a fuel with air or oxygen at least in some regions inside the roller. Also disclosed is a corresponding heatable roller.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a metal micro heat pipe with a polygonal cross-section to allow working fluid to flow by capillary force generated at edges of the polygonal of the micro heat pipe. The refrigerant leak-preventive structure includes a tube group having refrigerant leak-preventive grooves recessed at ends of the fin-tubes group, and headers having refrigerant leak-preventive projections formed by double injection molding solution introduced into and cooled in the refrigerant leak-preventive grooves when being coupled with the both ends of the tube group by a double injection molding.

Abstract: A method produces three-dimensionally formed armoring components for vehicle bodies. The armoring components are produced in a repeatedly accurate manner with minimal post-machining requirements and with lower dimensional tolerances than comparable weldments. Sheet metal molded parts are produced from hardenable steel by a thermal pre-treatment, the heating speed and temperature being selected at least until the austenitic or partially austenitic state is achieved depending on the alloy content, and formed armoring components are produced from press-forming and optionally subsequently subjected to quench or thermal treatment.

Abstract: A method for aligning a female portion of an articulated connector while it is still mounted to the end structure of a rail car to a reconditioning fixture is disclosed. The fixture is removably secured to the female connector. A bearing is preferably secured to the fixture such that its bore is aligned with the bore of the female connector. An alignment tube is then preferably inserted into the bores of the bearing and female connector. A centering gauge can be placed on the alignment tube. The bearing can then preferably be adjusted so that the alignment tube is positioned against the centering gauge.

Abstract: An electric-powered shaving apparatus with a drive part excitable by an electric motor into performing an oscillatory motion, the drive part transmitting its motion for cutting hairs to a short-hair cutter and to a long-hair trimmer. The long-hair trimmer is displaceable relative to the housing into an advanced and a retracted position. The motion of the drive part for the short-hair cutter is utilized for moving the long-hair trimmer into the advanced position.

Abstract: The inventions relate generally to manual devices operable to grasp and open shelled foods such as nuts, some of which particularly relate to a tool or utensil with tips configured to be inserted into the crack of a nut, and through hand pressure open a nut through separation of the inserted tips by way of pivoting arms, whereby the tool is biased so the tips are brought substantially together for insertion in the absence of manual pressure. Certain exemplary tools include grasping surfaces, cracking jaws and pull-tab openers, as well as biasing devices such as springs in combination with pins, or flexible hinges. Tips may be chisel-pointed, round-pointed, molded from plastic or fashioned in metal. The replaceable shearing tip further has a right part, wherein the left part and the right part are interchangeable.

Abstract: A utility knife having a handle and a blade holder which is pivotally mounted on the handle for movement from an unfolded position to a folded position. The handle has a space adapted to receive the blade holder when the blade holder is in its folded position. A spring pressed lock plug is provided to move into and out of the space to hold the blade holder in the folded and unfolded positions. The blade holder includes a main wall and guard wall pivotally mounted on the main wall to pivot from an open position to a closed position overlying the main wall. The main wall being adapted to hold a blade so that a blade is interposed between the main wall and guard wall when the guard wall is in its closed position.

The sharpened side has a first sharp portion and a second sharp portion. The blade is operable to move from an engaged position to a disengaged position and to move from the disengaged position to the engaged position. When the blade is positioned in the engaged position, the first sharp portion is uncovered by the handle and the second sharp portion is covered by the handle. When the blade is positioned in the disengaged position, the first sharp portion is covered by the handle and the second sharp portion is uncovered by the handle.

Abstract: A safety mechanism for a utility knife, including a razor blade mounted in a blade holder slideably mounted in a blade chamber in the housing. A first blade holder includes an arm extending therefrom with an engaging surface thereon. A second blade holder includes a tab extending therefrom. When either blade holder is deployed from the housing, the tab contacts the engaging surface, thereby preventing deployment of the other blade until the original blade is retracted.

Abstract: A scissor and comb combination providing means by which a groomer or barber/beautician may more efficiently and safely cut a person or animals hair, comprising a comb being formed into the rear edge of a scissor blade and the tines of the comb being formed such that the tines do not extend beyond the cutting edge of the opposite scissor blade when the scissor and comb combination are in the closed position.

Abstract: A cutting head for a rotary trimmer is provided. The cutting head of the present disclosure provides a control mechanism for loading a spool member of the cutting head quickly and efficiently without having to disassemble the cutting head. In one embodiment, a control mechanism is provided in the cutting head interacting between a follower member and a spool member so as to provide for one way rotational loading of flails, e.g., cutting line, into the cutting head; in other words, to load the flails, the spool member is rotated continuously 360° in one direction only, e.g., clockwise. In another embodiment, a cutting head allows the flails to be loaded by a ratcheting-type operation, i.e., a back and forth rotational movement, which is less fatiguing and even more efficient in its loading operation.

Abstract: A blade aligning device is adapted for use with a hand-held saw. The saw includes a cutting blade. The aligning device includes a forked alignment member having an elongated body, first and second diverging legs, and a crotch region formed by a junction of the first and second legs. The first and second legs engage a workpiece located at the crotch region, and cooperate to stabilize the saw and align the cutting blade relative to the workpiece during cutting. A pivot pin attaches the alignment member to the hand-held saw.

Abstract: A miniature toy vehicle serviceable as an eraser and a pencil sharpener is primarily composed of a chassis and a housing combined thereto. A sharpener base for being screwed with a blade is provided at an appropriate position on the chassis, while a cone hole is provided at the side of the sharpener base for receiving a pencil to be sharpened. The front end and the rear end of the chassis are provided with respective wheel axles, the two ends of which are provided with tires, while a driving device is combined to the front or rear wheel axle, for moving on a plane. The housing is made of an eraser material, the side of which has a through hole corresponding to the shape of the cone hole at the sharpener base, thereby the housing can be combined to the chassis to form a toy vehicle.

Abstract: An improved wheel alignment turntable for supporting a wheel of a vehicle. Embodiments include a turntable having a base, and a top plate for receiving the vehicle wheel, the top plate being mounted to an upper surface of the base for rotational and translational movement relative to the base. A pair of paddles, removably adjustably attachable to the base, engages a peripheral wall of the top plate for maintaining the top plate in a predetermined position relative to the base while the vehicle wheel is being positioned on the turntable. The paddles are easily removable when the wheel is supported on the turntable. A plurality of slide pads are removably mounted to a lower surface of the base, for enabling sliding motion between the turntable and a surface of a lift without damaging paint on the surface of the lift. The slide pads are stackable against one another for adjusting height of the turntable relative to the lift.

Abstract: A ruggedized laser level. The laser level includes a housing, a base, a protective structure, and a laser assembly. The base and protective structure combine to protect the laser level from damage due to being dropped or impacted. The laser assembly can provide a 360° beam or a five point dot. Some embodiments of the laser level include a plurality of power tool battery charging circuits.

Abstract: A stylus for key duplicating machine with replaceable segmented stylus comprising a cylindrical body; a spring-loaded tracer having a slide spindle movably engaged in one end of the cylindrical body, and a replaceable segmented stylus releasably secured on the front end of the slide spindle for replacement of the worn replaceable segmented stylus damaged during key duplicating by new one easily; and a regulating grip angularly movably engaged in the other end of the cylindrical body.

Abstract: The problem with known veneer dryers is that the individual drying zones cannot be separated distinctly. The optimal process conditions, which change during the drying process, cannot therefore be adjusted as required, as this leads to short-circuit currents between the drying zones. The aim of the invention is to provide a veneer dryer, in which the drying parameters can be optimally adjusted zone by zone. To achieve this, the drying zones (2, 3, 4) are arranged one above the other on horizontal planes and are thus effectively separated from one another. The inventive dryer is used for the production of veneers.

Abstract: Wood (1) is coated with a material of good heat conductance and heat resistance, such as an aluminum foil (2), and then placed in a drying kiln (3), where it is dried in an environment of high temperature (e.g., 200 degrees C.) not exceeding an ignition temperature. Because the drying process progresses with the wood substantially braised at high temperature, the wood can be dried virtually uniformly throughout both its surface and interior. Consequently, it is possible to completely, or almost completely, avoid the wood from cracking from the surface and also prevent deformations, such as a warp, bend, etc., of the wood. Further, because the wood can be dried in an environment of considerably high temperature, a necessary drying time can be significantly reduced.

A seat is disposed on top of the base. At least one air outlet is defined in the seat in communication with the base's hollow interior. At least one air channel is defined in the bottom portion of the base in communication with the base's hollow interior. A heater and motorized fan is contained within the hollow interior of the base. The fan draws air into the hollow interior through the air channels and expels heated air from the hollow interior through the air outlets. Heated air expelled from the air outlets dries genital and posterior areas of a user seated on the chair, while air drawn into the air channels dries the user's feet and toes.

Abstract: A dehumidification process for granulated plastic materials includes a process-gas treatment step in which the moisture content of the process gas is reduced substantially and a subsequent granule-treatment step by contact with the process gas having a reduced moisture content. In the process-gas treatment step, the reduction of the moisture content of the process gas is regulated in dependence on the granules to be treated. A dehumidification plant operating in accordance with the process is also described.

The enclosure includes at least one self-actuating valve assembly, incorporated within a wall of the enclosure, including at least one spring member, at least one pivot, attached to the at least one spring member, and at least two seal plugs, attached to the at least one spring member, wherein one of the at least two seal plugs actuates a gas purge and one of the at least two seal plugs actuates a gas fill. The enclosure also includes a retaining clip fastened to the at least one self-actuating valve assembly, wherein the retaining clip ensures that the at least two seal plugs do not unseat under dynamic environments.

Abstract: A through-air dryer system that diverts the airflow within the through-air dryer during warm up and cool down from the normal airflow during the drying of paper in the papermaking process. During warm up and cool down, a majority of the airflow is supplied to one of the dryer's heads and extracted through the opposite head to reduce thermal stresses. If needed to further reduce thermal stresses, a minority of the airflow is supplied through the dryer's shell.
