  • Patent number: 7232500
Abstract: This invention pertains to methods and devices for producing products in web form. In particularly advantageous embodiments, the instant invention relates to methods and devices for forming films by coating a coating mass formed from organic raw materials in an aqueous basis onto a reusable transfer support web to form a composite. The composite is then dried and the dried coating transferred onto a intermediate support material. The dried coating and intermediate support material are directed to a winding station. Upon separation from the dried coating, the dried reusable transfer support web may be directed to treatment and cleaning stations and is subsequently reused.

Abstract: An adhesive sheet 301A having a predetermined form is laminated onto a long release sheet 2A, and a protective member 5A which is thicker than the adhesive sheet 301A is provided in a position so as not to overlap the adhesive sheet 301A when a laminate sheet 1A is wound into a roll. According to this laminate sheet 1A, defects can be prevented from forming on the adhesive sheet 301A when the laminate sheet 1A is wound into a roll.

  • Patent number: 7232504
Abstract: A distilling apparatus and method use a two step distillation and purification process for processing a waste liquid, such as an impure sulfuric acid solution, to form a highly concentrated sulfuric acid solution. First, the waste liquid is stored in a concentrating column, where it is heated. A condenser, which uses the waste liquid as a cooling medium, condenses the vapor generated by the heater. The condensed vapor is passed through a filter, which separates impurities out of the waste liquid, prior to feeding the waste liquid back into the concentrating column. Water is then removed from the waste liquid via a distilling process. The resulting concentrated liquid is then fed to a purifying column, where it is again heated, to remove residue, and condensed, resulting in a highly pure waste liquid.

Abstract: A system and method for feedforward control in thin film coating processes. A standard PID feedback control system that continuously monitors two or more process variables in a reactive sputtering process is combined with a feedforward control system to improve system performance. The control system enables much faster stabilization of the reactive sputtering process during target start-up, and improves control of the process once a steady-state operating condition has been reached following target start-up.

  • Patent number: 7232507
Abstract: An electrochemical cell design is disclosed for the particular application of the electrochemical treatment of contaminants in water. The cell is designed to allow the treatment of low concentrations of contaminants in low conductivity water efficiently, and to be simple to fabricate. The design incorporates tapered inlet and outlet fluid flow manifolds so that the cell pressure drop will be almost entirely due to fluid contacting the electrodes, thus maximising the effective use of the system pump power. A short anode to cathode distance and thin working electrodes are used to minimise resistive electrical power losses. The parallel slacked arrangement of the electrodes and the smooth inlet and outlet designs leads to relatively even distributions of current density and mass transfer resulting in maximal utilisation of the entire active electrode surface area.

  • Patent number: 7232508
Abstract: An electrolytic electrode having an interlayer having more excellent peeling resistance and corrosion resistance and longer electrolytic life than conventional electrolytic electrodes and capable of flowing a large amount of current at the industrial level and a process of producing the same are provided. The electrolytic electrode includes a valve metal or valve metal alloy electrode substrate on the surface of which is formed a high-temperature oxidation film by oxidation, and which is coated with an electrode catalyst. The high-temperature oxidation film is integrated with the electrode substrate, whereby peeling resistance is enhanced. Further, by heating the high-temperature oxidation film together with the electrode catalyst, non-electron conductivity of the interlayer is modified, thereby making it possible to flow a large amount of current.
