  • Patent number: 7234212
Abstract: An apparatus and method for winding a sheet of aligned parallel yarns onto a beam is described. The beam winder utilizes a circularly arced yarn spool rack that feeds each yarn to an alignment comb through associated guide tubes. The distance between each spool of yarn and the alignment comb is substantially the same for all spools of yarn, thereby equalizing the force necessary to pull them to the comb. Next, the aligned sheet of material is preshrunk using heated rollers and wound onto a beam. Multiple speed controlled stepper motors are utilized to maintain a constant low level of tension in the sheet during the shrinking process. After shrinkage, the tension level of the yarn sheet is increased as it is wrapped onto the beam. A turntable that supports two or more beams is provided to facilitate the rapid switching of beams once one beam has become full.

  • Patent number: 7234218
Abstract: A method and electrical structure for separating electronic components from one another joined by solder interconnections. An electronic module is joined to a substrate via a solder interconnection, whereby the electronic module has an electrical heating component residing within a bottom layer thereof adjacent a solder interconnection. Preferably, a chip carrier is joined to a board whereby the chip carrier has an electrical mesh plane for heating adjacent the solder interconnection. Resistive heat is generated within this electrical heating component either by applying an electrical current to the electrical heating component, or by non-contact inductively heating the layer in which such electrical heating component resides to generate resistive heat within the electrical heating component. Abstract: A composite circuit board comprises multiple soft panels evenly mounted on a rigid panel. The soft panels are positioned on the rigid panel in proper alignment via locating pins on the rigid panel and corresponding holes in the soft panels. The soft panels are securely bonded to the rigid panel to form the composite circuit boards. The smaller size of the soft panels minimizes the alignment problems caused by the different heat expansion rates of the soft panel and the rigid panel.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a conductive contact part for a detachable electric plug-in connection. Said method provides a contact element comprising a bushing part, sections of which contain longitudinal slits and which has ribs distributed around its periphery. A sleeve part, which can surround the bushing part and cover the ribs, comprises two opposing end faces. The sleeve part is placed and positioned in an approximately coaxial manner in relation to the bushing part, in such a way that it covers the ribs, the positioned sleeve part being locked by one of its two faces on the bushing part. The bushing part is elastically twisted about its central axis, in such a way that the ribs are towards said central axis and the other face of the sleeve part is locked on the bushing part that is held in a twisted position against the elastic restoring force of the ribs.
