Abstract: The invention is directed to a method for controlling a critical dimension of a patterned photoresist layer. The method comprises steps of measuring a critical dimension of a raised pattern in a patterned photoresist layer after a photolithography process is performed on the photoresist layer. A determining process is performed to determine whether the critical dimension is within a critical dimension control limit range, wherein the critical dimension control limit range has a upper control limit and a lower control limit. An adjusting process is performed when the critical dimension is not within the critical dimension control limit range. When the critical dimension is smaller than the lower control limit, a photoresist reflow process is performed. When the critical dimension is larger than the upper control limit a photoresist trimming process is performed.

Abstract: Wet anisotropic etching techniques are well known micromachining apparatus in MEMS technology. The wet anisotropic etchant etch some of the material crystal planes faster than the other. For example the (001) planes are etched much faster than the (111) planes. The final shape is dependent upon the etch mask and the crystal planes orientation. A technique is described hereafter where the nature of the wet anisotropic etch process is used for fabrication of electrostatic transducers and in particular electrostatic comb drive actuators and sensors. Using the same anisotropic wet etching technique it is possible to reduce the cross section of suspensions and thus to soften a spring or to change the resonance frequency of mechanical resonators. Final cross section is dependent of the etching time. Under the anisotropic wet etching the cross section of the suspensions is changed rapidly.

A permissible rate of depth of focus (DOF) may not need to be controlled in the subsequent photolithography operation, which may enable the subsequent photolithography operation to be conducted by an optical system with relatively low DOF.

A retainer ring surrounds and sustains a circumference portion of the wafer, and a part of the portion that tends to provide higher polishing rate, which is adjacent to the retainer ring in the circumference portion, is disposed so as to face against the region being free of the groove. Then, while pressing the wafer against the polishing pad, the wafer and the polishing pad are rotated in the same direction. Then, the slurry is supplied from a slurry feeding unit to the outer portion of the region being free of groove. Since substantially no slurry is supplied in the region being free of groove, the polishing rate is reduced there, and thus the uniform polishing rate of over the entire wafer is provided.

From my research, I realize battery packs are being used in all types of products. New technology is increasingly making the battery pack smaller and smaller. The results of my data concluded that a modification of the original concept of the electric blanket would have the same capability as the original electric blanket when attached to a battery pack. The data also concluded that making the electric blanket portable would modify the enhancement of the original product. In conclusion, I found that most things powered by electricity can be powered by batteries, i.e., generators. Therefore, I confirm my modification of the heated baby carriage blanket with the modification of the detachable, rechargeable battery pack i.e., electric blanket with reference to U.S. Pat. Abstract: A microwave heating system utilizes a microwave energy generator to provide microwave energy through wave guides to targets. The targets are microwave absorbers and thereby increasing temperature upon the contact of microwave energy. The heated targets then transfer heat to an area to be heated such as by conduction, convection or radiation depending on the particular embodiment. A sensor in the area to be heated provides an input to a controller for controlling the input of microwave energy to be directed to the target.

Abstract: A computer-based design methodology for photonic bandgap devices that permits determination of both the upper and lower bandgap edges in either a one-dimensional or two-dimensional photonic crystal. Using this methodology, a one-dimensional crystal may be created for use in a waveguide-fed microwave oven as a radiation reflector-suppressor, particularly for undesirable higher harmonic frequencies of about 12 GHz. By conceptually arranging multiple reflectors in a desired geometry, a two-dimensional crystal may be created that is particularly useful as a waveguide or splitter. The waveguide or splitter thus created has especially high efficiency for microwave wavelength ranges of about 9 GHz as compared with the prior art and is particularly useful in communications applications.

Abstract: Thermal processing apparatus and a method for the defrosting of meat are disclosed. A vessel includes an opening, and a rotation assembly is adapted to rotate the vessel such that the opening is disposed on the axis of rotation. The vessel preferably comprises electrically conductive walls. An RF source is adapted to direct electromagnetic energy into the vessel through the opening. Preferably, the electromagnetic energy is in the microwave spectrum. The apparatus includes a waveguide which couples electromagnetic energy from the RF source to the opening in the vessel. A rotary coupling is used to couple electromagnetic energy from the RF source to the opening in the vessel. The process includes tumbling and radiating the product with microwave energy to bring the product from below the latent heat stage to fully defrosted.

Abstract: An electrical junction box that prevents deformation of a casing and breakage of a printed board due to an inserting force of a connector or the like is provided. A printed board is contained in a lower casing member. A bus bar laminated element is contained in the lower casing member above the printed board. An electrical component containing section including juxtaposed connector containing portions is provided on an upper side of an upper casing member above the bus bar laminated element. The upper casing member is mounted on the lower casing member. An upper reinforcement rib extends down from a lowermost stage insulation plate in the bus bar laminated element at a location below the electrical component containing section. The upper reinforcement rib is inserted into a through-hole in the printed board to extend down toward a bottom surface of the lower casing member. A lower reinforcement rib extends up from the bottom surface of the lower casing member to oppose the upper reinforcement rib.

Abstract: The present invention provides a plurality of injection molded plastic panels having integrated connectors which are capable of being packaged and shipped in a knock-down state and constructed to form an aesthetically pleasing mobile cooler assembly. The integrated connection of the side walls, front, back, cover and bottom panel components simplifies cooler assembly construction. The panels are formed of injection molded plastic to interlock with one another without the need for fasteners or connectors. The system incorporates a minimum number of components by integrally forming the connectors into the panels which are snapped together to complete the assembly.
