This pressure profile is compared with a desired value profile, prescribed for a control unit of the dosing pump, of the pump rate or pump output defining the dosing operation, and an evaluation result is issued in dependence on the comparison. In such case, the dosing operation is evaluated to be faulty or in need of correction when it is determined that the detected pressure profile over time with the prescribed pump rate or prescribed pump output lies outside a desired value range. A plurality of error conditions for the evaluation of the dosing operation are used, which consider the pressure development in a time window after a prescribed change in the defining pump rate or pump output.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2006Publication date: August 2, 2007Inventor: Thomas Leibfried

Publication number: 20070177989Abstract: A pressure washer pump generally includes a pump housing that defines a cavity, an opening into the cavity and a bottom of the cavity generally opposite the opening. A valve assembly is disposed in the cavity through the opening. The valve assembly includes a cage member that contains a first valve mechanism. A plug member is received in the opening to fluidly seal the cavity of the pump housing. A compliant member is disposed between the plug member and the cage member. The cage member is disposed between the compliant member and the bottom of the cavity and spaced from the plug member.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2007Publication date: August 2, 2007Applicant: Black & Decker Inc.Inventors: Dinesh Koka, Gregory Parris, Kenneth Butler, Shane Dexter, Allen Palmer, Michael Hollis, Jason Busschaert

Publication number: 20070177990Abstract: In a fluid flow network including a centrifugal pump, a system and kit for monitoring said centrifugal pump and relieving the pump of fluid when the pump is operating at no-flow conditions. The system comprises a fluid conduit connected to the pump, at least one sensor for indicating when the pump is operating at no-flow conditions. The sensor is selected from the group consisting of: temperature sensors, pressure sensors, and motor current sensors. The system has a fluid control means located in the fluid conduit. An electric snap-action valve is included that has an inlet connected to the fluid conduit and an outlet and a diaphragm. The diaphragm is movable between a first position and a second position. A power supply is included.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2006Publication date: August 2, 2007Inventor: Louis Zacherl

Publication number: 20070177991Abstract: A muffler forming member defines a muffler chamber. Refrigerant discharged from a cylinder bore is sent to the muffler chamber. The muffler forming member is coupled to a circumferential surface of a housing of a compressor. An oil separation chamber is defined in a discharge pressure zone of the compressor. The oil separation chamber separates the oil from the refrigerant discharged from the cylinder bore. The oil separation chamber extends into both the muffler forming member and the housing. The oil separation chamber has a refrigerant inlet through which the refrigerant flows into the oil separation chamber. The refrigerant inlet is formed in the muffler forming member. Therefore, the oil separation chamber is prolonged in the direction from the muffler forming member toward the housing, thereby improving the oil separation performance.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 22, 2007Publication date: August 2, 2007Inventors: Yoshinori Inoue, Naoki Koeda, Masaya Sakamoto, Tomoji Tarutani

Publication number: 20070177992Abstract: The tube 110 has a hollow portion 111 and a wall portion 112. The tube 110 has mutually contacting wall portions 111a that become compressed in such a way that the wall portion 112 comes into mutual contact in the hollow portion 111 through compression by a compressing mechanism 120, and is designed so that the mutually contacting wall portions 111a come into mutual contact, and the mutually contacting wall portions 111a recover upon release of the compressing mechanism. The mutually contacting wall portions 111a have readily contacting portions C1 that come into mutual contact at a certain level of compressing force, and contact resistant portions S1 that come into mutual contact only at a higher level of compressing force than in the readily contacting portions C1. The thickness of the wall portion 12 around the hollow portion 11 varies so that the readily contacting portions C1 are subjected to greater force than the contact resistant portions S1.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2007Publication date: August 2, 2007Applicant: SEIKO EPSON CORPORATIONInventors: Shuhei Harada, Tetsuya Takamoto, Takeshi Mori
