Abstract: Disclosed are a method of fabricating a quasi-substrate wafer (17) with a subcarrier wafer (4) and a growth layer (120), and a semiconductor body fabricated using such a quasi-substrate wafer (17). In the method of fabricating a quasi-substrate wafer (17), a growth substrate wafer (1) is fabricated that is provided with a separation zone (2) and comprises the desired material of the growth layer (120). The growth substrate wafer (1) is provided with a stress that counteracts a stress generated by the formation of the separation zone, and/or the stress generated by the formation of the separation zone is distributed, by structuring a first main face (101) of the growth substrate wafer (1) and/or the separation zone (2), to a plurality of subregions along the first main face (101). The growth substrate wafer (1) with separation zone (2) exhibits no or only slight bowing.

Abstract: A substrate processing apparatus of the present invention comprises a cooling mechanism for cooling a processing solution and a filter for removing impurities contained in the processing solution, at some midpoint in a circulation path of the processing solution. With this constitution, the substrate processing apparatus can precipitate the impurities dissolved in the processing solution and remove the precipitated impurities. It therefore becomes possible to maintain the performance of the processing solution and reuse the processing solution. Further, the frequency of changing the processing solution to a new solution decreases, and this causes an increase in availability of the substrate processing apparatus and a decrease in consumption and drainage of the processing solution.

The plug has a body adapted to be received within a region of the part intended to be masked. The body includes a first body half having at least one first perimeter wall conforming to a first portion of the intended region to be masked; a second body half having at least one second perimeter wall conforming to a second portion of the intended region to be masked; and a wishbone spring formed internally within the body such that it interconnects the first and second body halves. The wishbone spring includes a first half inner wall transversely spanning and interconnecting portions of the at least one first perimeter wall; a second half inner wall transversely spanning and interconnecting portions of the at least one second perimeter wall; and a common rib interconnecting the first and second inner walls.

Abstract: A gas supply system for supplying a gas into a processing chamber for processing a substrate to be processed includes: a processing gas supply unit; a processing gas supply line; a first and a second processing gas branch line; a branch flow control unit; an additional gas supply unit; an additional gas supply line; a first and a second additional gas branch line; a flow path switching unit; and a control unit. Before processing the substrate to be processed, the control unit performs a pressure ratio control on the branch flow control unit while the processing gas supply unit supplies the processing gas. After the inner pressures of the first and the second processing gas branch line become stable, the control unit switches the pressure ratio control to a fixed pressure control, and then the additional gas supply unit supplies the additional gas.
