Abstract: A protective mask includes a main body and a lens portion. The main body includes an opening, and two latch cases provided respectively on left and right sides of the opening. Each latch case has a front latch insert hole, top and bottom holes disposed rearwardly of the insert hole, and top and bottom abutment portions each formed between the insert hole and a corresponding one of the top and bottom holes. The lens portion includes a frame covering the opening, and two latches engageable respectively with the latch cases. Each latch includes two spaced-apart resilient arms insertable respectively into the top and bottom holes, and two protrusions projecting outwardly and respectively from the resilient arms and extendable outwardly of the top and bottom holes so as to engage respectively the top and bottom abutment portions.

Both portions delimit an intermediate air chamber and they are extended in a tubular portion in the shape of briefs, with two openings through which the wearer's legs pass. The outer tubular portion, of high bidirectional elasticity, shapes the outer surface of the lumbar protector and the inner tubular portion that shapes the inner surface includes a fibers with silver ions that provide anti-microbial and anti-static properties.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a novel dry-suit design that has a smooth elastomeric outer shell which envelopes a separate element proof inner shell. The dry-suit has a smooth integral outer appearance thereby enabling ready movement and comfortable use by a wearer.

Abstract: A device for displaying insignia includes two parts. The first part includes an array of flexible hooks formed on a hook substrate that is fastened to a surface of the insignia. The second part includes an article of clothing made of a looped material that maintains a desired look and feel for the article of clothing when the insignia is removed and that engages and releases the flexible hooks when attaching and removing the insignia.

Abstract: The invention concerns a protection for cycling pants comprising both a first deformable solid material, selected from the group comprised of foam and elastomers and a second flowable material, selected from the group comprised of a gas, a liquid and a gel. A protection is also described wherein, at least in a region thereof; the thickness of the protection comprises a first flowable material housed in a first chamber made of an impermeable yielding material and a second yielding flowable material housed in a second chamber made of an impermeable yielding material. In case of puncture of the protection and leakage of the flowable material, the protection preserves a notable efficiency due to the presence of the deformable solid material or of the flowable material present in the other chamber.

Abstract: A head stabilizing system is provided. The head stabilizing system is intended to minimize loads on the head and the neck, some of which may be injurious or even fatal, by generating a reaction force that substantially opposes a force acting on the head and generated by rapid deceleration of a vehicle or a crash impact. The head stabilizing system includes a helmet, a connection structure, and at least one resisting member. The resisting member generates a reaction force that opposes the crash impact force, yielding a reduced net force on the head. This reaction force can be generated as a function of position, velocity or acceleration. The resisting member may include a tether, a dashpot, or a dashpot containing a controllable rheological fluid. The viscosity of the controllable rheological fluid can be automatically adjusted in response to changes in status of a vehicle or it's occupant.

Abstract: One embodiment includes a hat that has an electronic module with a radiation sensor. The module is at the brim of the hat. The module further includes a display. When the hat is normally worn, the sensor faces towards the sky to measure radiation, and the display faces towards the wearer. Also, when the wearer looks up at the brim, the wearer can see the output from the display. In another embodiment the module includes a speaker instead of or in addition to a display as the output device. Yet another embodiment includes a hat that has a crown, and an electronic module with a radiation sensor at the crown.

Abstract: A protective facial cover that protects a person's face from exposure to ultraviolet radiation while other portions of the person's body are exposed to ultraviolet radiation. The protective facial cover includes a main section, a peripheral section, a resilient material, and at least one tie. The peripheral section extends substantially around the main section. The resilient material is attached to the peripheral section proximate an edge thereof. The at least one tie extends from at least one of the main section and the peripheral section.

Abstract: Swimming goggles have a left frame, a right frame, lenses received in the left frame and the right frame, and a strap device. The strap device includes buckles respectively assembled on the left frame and the right frame, and a head strap extending through the buckles and defining a plurality of stop-grooves therein. Each buckle includes a connecting base, a peg locking with the connecting base, and a pressing member. The connecting base defines an opening therein, a guiding post being formed on a side of the opening for movably receiving the head strap. An engaging wall is formed on the connecting base, and an engaging arm is formed on the engaging wall for assembling to the left frame and the right frame. A block is formed on the pressing member and extends through the opening when assembled.

The second odor generating source is connected to the second terminal conduit. The first adjusting damper is positioned in the first main conduit between the first junction and the second junction for regulating the airflow ratio of the first odor generating source to the second odor generating source.

Abstract: Ventilating apparatuses for a toilet remove objectionable odors. Instead of allowing toilet odors to diffuse into the bathroom atmosphere, the ventilating apparatus for a toilet draws toilet odors out of the toilet bowl and exhausts them outside of the house. The ventilating apparatus for a toilet has first inlet channels piercing the interior surface of the toilet seat and second inlet channels piercing the bottom surface of the toilet seat. The opposite ends of the first inlet channels and the second inlet channels protrude into a primary channel, thereby creating a partial air blockage and an enhanced vacuum effect through the first inlet channels and the second inlet channels. A vacuum motor controlled by a pressure-activated switch on the bottom of the toilet seat extracts air from the toilet through the first inlet channels and second inlet channels and exhausts it through a ceiling fan vent.

Abstract: The invention provides for a dispensing apparatus removably mounted to a toilet for dispensing a fluid into the toilet to control bathroom odor. The apparatus includes a housing having an open end and a bottom defining a cavity for receiving the fluid. The housing further defines an outlet for communicating the fluid to the toilet. A pump is mounted about the open end of the housing and defines a chamber above the cavity. The chamber is in fluid communication with the cavity and includes a plunger movable within the chamber between actuated and unactuated strokes. The plunger includes at least one aperture in fluid communication with the chamber. The aperture is blocked during the actuated stroke of the plunger for displacing the fluid. The aperture is open during the unactuated stroke of the plunger to equalize pressure within the chamber and the cavity with atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: An improved flange that provides simple and time saving installation of a toilet fixture. The flange includes an annular ring that defines at least one aperture adapted to receive a connector for attaching the flange to the floor and at least one mounting bolt rigidly and permanently affixed to the annular ring, the mounting bolt extending upwardly from the annular ring and being adapted to pass through at least one mounting aperture of the toilet. The flange is adapted for use in originally attaching the toilet to the floor or in repairing or extending existing flanges. In one embodiment, the flange is used in combination with a one-piece mounting cap that removes the need for separate washers and nuts.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a non-splash urinal strainer with a perforated base pad and a deodorant canister fixed to the base pad. The deodorant canister includes a continuous outside wall fixed to a funnel shaped conduit that extends through the deodorant canister. The funnel shaped conduit has a large open target end for receiving an incoming urine stream and a drain end closed with a perforated grate positioned proximate the perforated base pad. Deodorant material is contained within a space provided between the continuous outside wall and the funnel shaped conduit.

Abstract: The present invention involves an apparatus, namely a reef, used to transform ocean wave energy into preferred surfing waves. The reef is comprised of a hull having a substantially flat top surface with a vertically convex shape that preferably creates about a seventy degree tangential bow angle with the ocean surface. The bottom portion is tri-hull shaped and includes two side hulls and a center hull. The preferred embodiment is connected to a master vessel by control arms. The control arms can control the depth of the reef in water, thus controlling the wave characteristics. The control arms can also provide a ducting means for ballast pumps on the master vessel. In an alternative embodiment, the reef can be self-supporting in water. A single reef or a multiple reef configuration can be placed near shore to help prevent beach erosion by wave action, and or cause beach sand to accumulate. Several reefs can be connected for longer-lasting waves.

Abstract: A fill and drain whirlpool bathtub having features that may include efficient drain down water pipes and a suction fitting having a faceplate with a sufficient number of sized openings to resist hair entrapment, an acrylic tub surface, fiberglass backing, an antimicrobial in the piping system of the water vessel system. The antimicrobial inhibits bacteria in the water vessel system after the tub is drained of water and between electrical system activation. A faceplate may further be configured to resist body entrapment.

Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for applying a composition to the skin, the apparatus including a chamber, the chamber including means for washing the skin (10), and means for applying the composition (4). Applicants have recognized that incorporating means for washing the skin into a chamber designed for applying a composition to the skin provides a number of advantages such as removal of foreign matter from the skin, and also removal of a proportion of the stratum corneum immediately prior to the removal of a composition such as an artificial tanning agent. Removal of dead skin cells and other contaminants from the skin immediately before the application of a composition improves the reproducibility of the absorption of the active ingredient in the composition.

Abstract: The present invention provides a sink assembly formed from a plurality of injection molded plastic panels having integrated connectors which are capable of being packaged and shipped in a knock-down state and constructed to form an aesthetically pleasing sink assembly. The integrated connection of the side walls, front, back, and bottom panels and sink components simplifies the sink assembly construction. The panels are formed of injection molded plastic to interlock with one another without the need for fasteners or connectors. The system incorporates a minimum number of connectors by integrally forming the connectors into the panels which are snapped together to complete the assembly.

Abstract: A foot spa is disclosed which can accommodate more than one user at once so that a shared experience and relaxing social setting is provided. The invention comprises a water-tight chamber with an open vertical surface, an element for heating water and a motorized pump and tubing for circulating water from the chamber, through the heating element and back into the chamber. Foot spas have been in common usage for therapeutic and recreational purposes. The prior art describes foot baths which accommodate one pair of human feet and hot tub spas which accommodate one or more whole human bodes. However a foot spa designed for more than one pair of feet is novel. Further features including integral seating, textured chamber surfaces, messaging jets, reinforcement to allow in-ground installation, and portability by means of attached wheels are also comprised in the current invention.

A lip structure is formed on at least one of the child-receiving portion and the protective covering portion to abut with an edge of the other of the child-receiving portion and the protective covering portion to form a generally seamless transition between the portions of the platform.

In aspects, a support structure is coupled to a base to secure the support structure in an upstanding position. A grab bar is coupled to the support structure. When the grab bar is lifted substantially vertically from the support structure, the grab bar may be decoupled from the support structure. When the grab bar is lifted such that a horizontal component of force is applied against the support structure, the grab bar resists decoupling from the support structure. Abstract: A mattress has cells with low air permeability envelopes. Check valves permit air flow into cell groups. An inflation structure expands within the cells when not loaded to cause the envelope to fill with air through the check valves. Another mattress has a cell with a primary bladder, a hollow inflation structure in the primary bladder, a secondary bladder in the hollow inflation structure. The inflation structure expands when not under load to cause the primary bladder to fill with air through the check valve. An air cell has a bladder, a check valve permitting air flow to the bladder, and an inflation structure that expands in the bladder when not under load to cause the bladder to fill with air through the check valve. The inflation structure is a cylindrical foam structure with a portion removed along a surface and a D-shaped hollow space within an upper portion thereof.

The mattress includes a mattress core, a side rail joined to the mattress core by a one or more adhesive patches, optionally a deck applied over an area of the mattress core and joined to the mattress core by adhesive patches, and an upholstery layer defining a sleep surface applied over the deck or the mattress core and joined to the deck by adhesive patches. The adhesive patches have a bonding strength sufficient to maintain a relative position between the various mattress components at least during assembly of the mattress. The upholstery layer is permanently secured to the side rail by, for example, sewing or stapling.

The raw material of the yarn can be the rawhide of any animal, as well as the leftover material or worn-out leather. The yarn has excellent properties, high tensile strength, abrasion resistance, softness, water adsorbent, oil adsorbent, flame-retardant, and can be woven, knitted and braided.

Further ingredients also render them useful for hydrogen peroxide bleaching. The compositions, which provide the textiles with good primary wettability and good rewettability, are low-foaming. Batchwise pretreatment processes, for example in jet machines, therefore represent no problem.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an oxidative hair colouring and bleaching composition comprising an oxidizing agent, a source of carbonate ions, an alkalising agent, and specific dyes, as defined herein below, utilised at pH 9.5 and below which improve colour delivery and intensity, excellent dye deposition and colour and improved grey coverage, particularly for dark shades such as brown or black. Moreover, the compositions of the present invention also exhibit low odour and deliver a high level of lift and lightening equal to the currently utilised ammonia/peroxide systems, whilst reducing the concentration of peroxide and reducing the hair fibre damage.

Abstract: The instant invention relates to concentrated aqueous solutions of hexasulphonated stilbene optical brighteners which are storage-stable in the absence of solubilizing agents like urea. By removal of salts resulting from the preparation of the optical brightener one can obtain a concentration of up to 0.350 mol/kg without losing storage stability. The reduced water content enables coating compositions which require less drying energy and which show less water and binder migration into the paper.

Abstract: The combination paint roller frame and scraper allows a painter to accomplish two tasks with a single tool and includes a paint roller frame, an elongated scraper member, and a hinge or pivot mechanism attaching the scraper to the paint roller frame. The paint roller frame is a standard frame having a roller cage assembly, a shaft for receiving the roller cage assembly, and a handle for supporting the shaft. The scraper member is an elongated scraper having a first end and a sharpened second end, with the first end being pivotally attached to a vertical portion of the shaft of the paint roller frame. The pivot mechanism attaching the scraper to the vertical portion of the shaft of the paint roller frame allows the scraper to be flipped between an “up” or “in use” position, and a “closed” or “not in use” position.
