Publication number: 20070206073Abstract: A printhead assembly with a printhead integrated circuit (IC) and a shut off (138) valve that has a valve body (200) defining an ink inlet (202) for connection to an ink supply, an ink outlet (67) connected to the printhead IC. A moveable valve member (212) is biased into sealing engagement with the valve seat (216) to provide a fluid seal between the ink inlet and the ink outlet. An actuator (204) for unsealing the valve member from the valve seat upon energizing and re-sealing the valve member to the valve seat when de-energized. The valve protects the ink in the ink supply from contaminants that can migrate up the ink line during shut down periods. The valve member is constantly biased to a closed position and so seals the ink supply from the printhead IC as a default condition even in the event of a power failure. The bias is strong enough to provide the fluid seal so that the seal is not compromised when the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet is small.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2007Publication date: September 6, 2007Inventors: Geoffrey Philip Dyer, Gregory Michael Tow, David William Jensen, Nicholas Kenneth Abraham, Kia Silverbrook

Publication number: 20070206079Abstract: A printhead for an inkjet printer that has an elongate array of nozzles (68) for ejecting ink and ink conduits for supplying the array of nozzles with ink. The ink conduits extend adjacent the elongate array and have a plurality of pulse dampers individually in fluid communication with the ink conduits, each containing a volume of gas for compression by pressure pulses in the ink conduits, distributed along the length of the elongate array. A pressure pulse moving through an elongate printheads, such as a pagewidth printhead, can be damped at any point in the ink flow line. However, the pulse will cause nozzle flooding as it passes the nozzles in the printhead integrated circuit, regardless of whether it is subsequently dissipated at the damper. By incorporating a number of pulse dampers into the ink supply conduits immediately next to the nozzle array, any pressure spikes are damped at the site where they would otherwise cause detrimental flooding.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2007Publication date: September 6, 2007Inventors: Brian Robert Brown, Norman Micheal Berry, Garry Raymond Jackson, Paul Timothy Sharp, John Douglas Peter Morgan, Kia Silverbrook, Akira Nakazawa, Michael John Hudson, Christopher Hibbard, Samuel George Mallinson, Paul Justin Reichl

Publication number: 20070206114Abstract: An image capturing apparatus illuminate and captures an image of an object using reflected light from the object. In the apparatus, a plurality of light-emitting devices are mounted in the periphery of an image sensor, and the light of the plurality of light-emitting devices is guided to an image capturing region by a light guide member for illumination. On the image capturing apparatus having the image capturing system disposed close to the illumination system, a hood is provided for optically intercepting the image capturing system from the illumination system, with a flange disposed thereon. The light reflected on the upper face of a filter can be intercepted from being incident on an image capturing system unit. Accordingly, output light not irradiating the object and causing an image capturing noise can be intercepted, which is effective for a clear photographed image.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2006Publication date: September 6, 2007Applicants: FUJITSU LIMITED, FUJITSU FRONTECH LIMITEDInventors: Hiroyuki Tanaka, Yoshio Yoshizu, Takashi Yoshida, Kouichi Matsuo, Isao Iwaguchi

Publication number: 20070206116Abstract: A camera module comprises a bracket, a housing, an image capture unit received in the housing, a hinge and a lock element. The bracket is mounted on a mobile phone and defines a housing receiving space and a side space. The housing defines a hinge hole. The hinge has a sleeve and a pivot pin inserted in the sleeve. One end of the pivot pin and the sleeve are mounted in the mobile phone, and the other end of the pivot pin is mounted in the hinge hole, thereby pivotally connecting the housing to the mobile phone. The lock element is placed in the side space for locking the camera module in the housing receiving space. Once the lock element is unlocked, the camera module can be rotated out of the housing receiving space. The pivot pin defines at least one grease groove in its outer surface closing to the inner surface of the sleeve for accommodating grease functioned as a damper to control the rotation of the camera module so that the camera module can be rest in any angle.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 6, 2006Publication date: September 6, 2007Inventor: Hsieh Chou
