The cap holder piece contains a rotary plate (103), a bistable element (104) and a cap holder element (105), which is secured by means of the bistable element to the rotary plate to allow a hearing protection, secured to the cap holder element, to take up a tilted out and a tilted in position relative to the rotary plate. The helmet piece comprises means (112, 112?) of attachment to a helmet and a receiving piece (111), in which the rotary plate is secured, able to turn about an axis of rotation, which receiving piece includes a resilient tongue (113) essentially parallel to the axis of rotation and a first stop piece (116) which, under the action of the resilient tongue and in cooperation with a second stop piece (132) arranged on the rotary plate, releasably maintains the rotary plate in a first rotational position relative to the receiving piece.

Abstract: The invention relates to a reinforcing element for an article of clothing, in particular for a goalkeeper glove, that allows a bending in a first direction, but resists bending in a second direction. The reinforcing element includes at least one bending area that has a curvature with a shape that allows bending of the reinforcing element in the first direction and blocks a bending of the reinforcing element in the second direction.

Abstract: A ball catching apparatus comprises a main body in which a back-of-hand-side inner skin and a palm-side inner skin are respectively secured to a back-of-hand-side outer skin and a palm-side outer skin, and a thumb hook provided at a base-end portion of a thumb pocket part of the main body and allowing a position of a thumb to be secured and released, wherein the thumb hook comprises a first belt and a second belt respectively secured to the palm-side inner skin, the first belt allows the thumb to be pressed from a forefinger side, the second belt is provided along an outer peripheral side of the first belt and in such a manner as overlapping with the first belt, and a state where the thumb is pressed by the first belt is maintained in such a manner that the second belt is stretched, so that the position of the thumb is determined while the thumb is being comfortably fitted by the first and second belts.

Abstract: Disposable clothing articles for hunting and other outdoor activities are made of a low-cost, lightweight, breathable material, preferably a non-woven with particle barrier properties, and preferably include cinching elements for cinching closed with a good seal the hand and foot openings of the clothing to prevent the escape of human odors. The clothing articles are treated with one or more odor-reducing agents to absorb the human odors that pass through the clothing material. In an example method of making the clothing articles, a liquid odor-reducing agent is sprayed onto the clothing, one or two powder odor-reducing agents are sprinkled onto the inside and outside surfaces of the clothing, and the treated clothing article is stored in a sealable bag or other container.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a glove made of an elastomeric central fabric in the palm area of the hand such that different portions of the glove attached to the central fabric stretch with the fabric, so as to provide a snug fit on the hand. In one embodiment, the elongated sleeve includes a first wall having at least one aperture therethrough, a second wall spaced from the first wall and having at least one aperture therethrough, at least one closed edge, and at least one open edge, defining an internal lumen. The at least one first wall aperture, at least one second wall aperture, and at least one inner shell aperture cooperate to allow fluid communication between an exterior and an interior of the helmet. An insert slidably receivable within the elongated sleeve lumen is provided.

Abstract: A protective helmet having an inner hood includes a spacer knitted fabric of a monofilament yarn. The hood is covered by a pneumatic central layer which can be pressurized by means of compressed air and can be inflated by means of an air pump which can be, for example, removed and provided with valves. An outer layer consists of an inner textile layer which lies over the pneumatic central layer, and plates which are fixed to the textile layer, for example by adhesion. The plates include, for example, of plastic, composite materials, or natural materials. The plates can be arranged in such a way that joints are created thereinbetween, the outer layer thus being provided with a certain elasticity in order to cater for different head shapes and sizes.

Abstract: A multi-part eccentric hinge assembly for a plumbing fixture has two hinge bodies, which when connected pivotally couple a movable part of the fixture to a fixed part, for example, a lid or cover to a bowl deck. One of the hinge bodies has a radial portion and an offset portion. The radial portion generally extends along a line intersecting a pivot axis from a connection for pivotally connecting the hinge assembly to the plumbing fixture. The offset portion intersects the radial portion at one side of the pivot axis and extends back toward an opposite side of the pivot axis to a free end that connects to the second hinge body by a connector. The single hinge body is integrally formed with the moveable part so that the follows an eccentric path when the hinge body is pivoted about the pivot axis.

Abstract: A closet flange includes a body having a lower body portion containing a bore and an upper body portion containing an inlet opening in fluid communication with the bore. Within the body is a knockout for closing off the bore. The knockout has a frangible connection with an interior wall of the body and one or more portions that extend radially outwardly into a portion of the inlet opening that has a larger diameter than the bore to permit the knockout to be broken out of the body while preventing the knockout from passing all the way through the bore.

Abstract: A disposable protector containing splashes in a clogged toilet during plunging. A frame includes a non-continuous hoop allowing the hoop to sealingly conform to just below the rim of the clogged and a handle having a pair of arms generally conforming to, and capturing, the rim of the clogged toilet. A portion of each arm criss-cross each other so as to allow the hoop to decrease in size when the handle is squeezed for insertion into the clogged toilet just below the rim of the clogged toilet. The shield removably receives the hoop and includes upper and lower sheets attached to each other at their peripheries, except for a portion thereof that is sufficient in length to allow insertion of the hoop into the shield and removal therefrom when the handle is squeezed and the size of the hoop is reduced.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sewer system comprising a sewage receptacle (1), sewer piping (3) connected to the sewage receptacle by means of a discharge valve (2), a vacuum generating means (4) for generating vacuum in the sewer piping, and a control mechanism (5) for controlling the discharge valve. In order to achieve a more rapid closing of the discharge valve (2) after discharge of the sewage from the sewage receptacle (1), the vacuum sewer system further comprises an aeration means (10) in direct fluid communication with the discharge valve (2). The control mechanism (5) is arranged to control the aeration means (10). The present invention also relates to a discharge valve (2) for such a vacuum sewer system.

Abstract: A zipper system for a safety swimming pool cover provides a convenient method of navigating around any vertical obstacles that may be within the pool cover area, when installing the pool cover over the pool. When a vertically extending obstacle, such as an entrance stair hand rail extends above the surface of a swimming pool cover, the swimming pool cover is split in the area of the obstacle, the zipper enables the user to securely navigate around the obstacle without compromising the tight fit of the swimming pool cover. The zipper closes the split area around the obstacle quickly and neatly. The zipper also prevents the entrance of debris into the pool around the split area. The zipper alternatively provides access to a selected area of the pool, such as a spa area. The spa area, when not in use, can be zipped and covered.

Abstract: A cover for a swimming pool includes a flexible sheet of material covering substantially all of an opening into the swimming pool. A split extends within the cover. Zipper elements line edges of the cover along the split to close the split, thereby preventing debris from entering the swimming pool through the split. A locking plate member covers top and bottom sides of the zipper to secure the zipper during the off-season. The locking member includes spaced apart upper and lower plates, forming a slot therebetween, whereby the slot provides clearance for fabric edges of the zipper. A bridge section joins the plates adjacent to a rear side of the locking plate member. A recess is formed in facing surfaces of the lower and upper plates between the bridge section and a front side of the locking plate member, to accommodate the zipper elements therein.

Abstract: A drive system for an imaging device is provided. The drive system comprises a table assembly for engaging and supporting a patient and a driving system for moving the table assembly. The driving system can be directly coupled to the table assembly. The table assembly comprises a carrier that engages and supports a patient and at least two elongated rails placed beneath the carrier and extending between the opposing sides of the table assembly. The driving system for moving the table assembly comprises at least one double end shaft motor, at least one belt coupled to the double end shaft motor via a coupling device and at least one pair of timer pulleys coupled to the belt. Further, each timer pulley is directly coupled to a feedback device at a first end and a brake device at a second end.

Abstract: An air mattress system is provided wherein longitudinal air supply tubes supply air to alternating laterally extending cross support tubes that extend between two longitudinal side rails. The side rails remain inflated despite failure of the pump or ruptures of the lateral support tubes. The structure of the air mattress is such that it can be produced as a continuous rolled product. A method for making the individual mattress of this construction is also set forth.

Abstract: The invention provides a demolition tool that can be used in many ways for the demolition of construction materials or other materials. The demolition tool includes a handle having a head at one end. The head has a longitudinal central plane that bisects the head, a strike contact face, and toothed, stepped grasping jaws that accommodate multiple sizes of lumber or other material. The head may also include a blunt blade edge below the strike contact face for striking and demolishing material. The demolition tool includes a bent end pry bar at a second end of the handle. The bent end pry bar being offset 90 degrees from the longitudinal central plane of the tool head enabling full range of motion without interfering with other tool functions. The demolition tool may comprise a single piece of material and may be softer than tools used to strike it, but harder than materials which it is used to strike.
