  • Patent number: 7281308
Abstract: Support feet of a generator are mounted on foundation columns spaced laterally one from the other, with one column having a block in a recess for receiving the feet on one side of the generator. Guides on a radius and supported by the generator foundation extend through notches on the underside of the block. To locate an end of the generator displaced horizontally from the turbines, the generator is unloaded from the foundation and the block is removed. The generator is then loaded onto the guides and pivoted about a vertical axis to locate at least one end out of alignment with the axis of the turbines enabling removal of the generator rotor in an axial direction.

  • Patent number: 7281309
Abstract: An explosion resistant waste container (10) includes an outer open-topped container (16). The outer open-topped container (16) is sized to receive an inner open-topped container (12) and leave a space therebetween. Both the outer open-topped container (16) and the inner open-topped container (12) are cylinders made of sufficiently strong materials, e.g. 11 gauge steel, for withstanding the forces of an explosion. A reinforcing material (14), e.g. reinforced concrete, is disposed within the space between the outer open-topped container (16) and the inner open-topped container (12). The outer open-topped container (16) and the reinforcing material (14) reinforce the inner open-topped container (12) so as to provide greater resistance to deformation caused by explosions and to shield surrounding persons and property from the explosive forces.

  • Patent number: 7281310
Abstract: A baluster driver tool for rotating a baluster to threadably secure it to a support. The driver tool includes a housing having a connector at one end for connecting it to a drill and a baluster-engaging member at the opposite end for receiving the baluster. The baluster-engaging member includes a cavity that is complementary sized and shaped to receive an end of the baluster. When the drill is activated, the housing rotates about its longitudinal axis causing the baluster to rotate in unison with the housing and securing a threaded end of the baluster into the support. In a second embodiment, a smooth tapered end of a baluster is received within a threaded tapered cavity in the housing. The threads secure the smooth tapered end of the baluster within the cavity so that rotation of the housing causes the baluster to rotate in unison therewith and securing the threaded end of the baluster to the support.

The zones may be secured by pulling on two laces, each of which tightens one of the two independent lacing zones. This arrangement allows the wearer to simultaneously tighten each zone, providing the wearer with the “feel” as though he or she is tightening a conventional single lacing zone boot. The laces may be simultaneously, yet independently secured by a lace lock at the upper and/or forward region of the boot. Slack may be created to facilitate loosening of the boot and easy removal of a foot from the boot by unhooking the lace from the lace guide without a corresponding distance of lace traveling through the lace lock. A release strap, graspable by the wearer, facilitates unhooking the lace.

Abstract: Disclosed is a unitary sheet-like merchandise labeling article that has a labeling tag flatly conjoined along a unifying flat bond zone with a flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag and includes an elastic fastening loop. The loop sides that define the loop are wider than the thickness of the elastic layer. Further, the flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag has a thickness greater than the thickness of the tag and has a dispersion zone adjacent the unifying flat bond zone. The dispersion zone allows dissipation of elastic loop in-line stretching forces sufficiently to reduce transmission of such forces into the bond zone.

Abstract: A portable gun support case having gun support members firmly held in place on the case by retaining members attached to the case. The case has a lower box and an upper box which includes two longitudinal box or cover sections pivotally mounted on the lower box. When the box is open, the support members may be placed in upright positions adjacent walls of the lower box. The retaining members then may be moved into firm holding engagement with the support members. When the support members are removed from their upright positions, the upper box may be pivotally closed above the lower box along a center line formed by the two longitudinal cover sections and in engagement with the lower box. When the upper box engages the lower box, outward projections at opposite ends of the upper box are engaged by the retaining members to hold the case firmly closed.
