Abstract: This single piece device (the “Splunger”) performs the function of a toilet plunger and a toilet scrubber. It can be used to clean a toilet and clear a plugged toilet. However, the unplugging mechanism is different from toilet plungers currently in use. The later uses air to push the plug out of the way. The Splunger primarily uses water pressure to clear the plug. The Splunger is of simple design and consists of a handle affixed to a specially shaped porous sponge or spongy material. The handle made of durable material that is either rigid or slightly flexible, and is slightly flanged at the sponge end to permit strong adhesion to the sponge and prevent rips. The end of the sponge nearest the water is slightly cupped to enable cupping of water so that a downward thrust of the device will increase water pressure and push the plug down the drain. Sponge is made of strong, durable and porous material to allow for scrubbing, quick drainage and low water retention.

Abstract: According to the invention, a metal salt and an oxygen source are applied to penetrate or impregnate a suitable substrate sequentially in effective amounts so as to react in contact with the substrate and produce a mineral compound fixed within the surface of the substrate. The inventive combination of a mutually compatible metal salt, oxygen source, and substrate brings about an in situ reaction, and modifies the substrate to bring about a lasting desired effect. The mineral compound that is produced according to the invention is linked to the substrate, is stable and long-lasting or permanent, and is immobilized or insolubilized in the substrate. The mineral compound is bound or contained within and on the surface of the substrate, so it may be said to be ingrained in the fibers or matrix of the substrate, or embedded within the substrate. The desired effect is preferably a color. A wide variety of metal salts may be used depending on the desired effect.

Abstract: Hook structures for use in hook and loop or hook and engagement material fastening applications. Structures according to embodiments of the invention include hooks which extend from bases which in turn extend from a foundation and also extend laterally across the structures. The bases are separated by valleys which also extend laterally across the structures, whose height can be uniform laterally in the structures or varied. The bases provide suitable strength and support to allow the hooks to be robust and strong for permanent or semi-permanent fastening applications, while the valleys interposed between bases allow the hooks to penetrate sufficiently deeply into the engagement material for effective fastening to occur. Such structures may be formed according to processes which physically or conceptually employ various layers to support hooks, retention barrier members such as fingers interposed laterally between hooks, and/or for spacing such hooks and barriers as desired.

Abstract: A press-type fixing assembly for fixing a heat dissipator includes a seat body and a pressing body. The seat body has a bottom plate and a side plate that are connected with each other to form a L-lettered shape. Further, the bottom plate is provided with a positioning hole, and the side plate is provided with a through hole. The pressing body has a pressing plate. The lower end face of the pressing plate is connected to a post. The post correspondingly penetrates through the positioning hole, and the center of the post has a vertical partition. One end of the post has an engaging portion. With the post of the pressing body being pressed into the positioning hole of the seat body, the post can penetrate through the bottom plate via the elastic deformation of the partition. Finally, the post is engaged with the fixing hole of the connected substrate, thereby to rapidly fix the position of the heat dissipator.

The device includes a post anchor having a base, a button, a resilient member, a post, a retainer and a catch having a slot with a larger first section connected by a channel to a smaller second section. The button is positioned in an indention in the base with the resilient member positioned therebetween. The post extends through the button, the base and the helmet. The retainer is secured on the post adjacent the inner surface of the helmet. To secure the post attachment device, the catch is orientated over the post. The button is then depressed into the base while the catch is moved backwards to move the post into the second section of the slot.

Abstract: For formation of a yarn image of melange yarn, layers of image having multiple types of fibers of differentiated colors arranged randomly are piled one upon another into a stack of multiple layers. The degree of transparency is determined from the brightness of each of the fibers, and an image synthesis is carried out with respect to the image layers piled one upon another, thereby forming a yarn image of melange yarn. Thus, a yarn image can be formed without any test production of melange yarn. Further, there can be realized a real expression of texture sensation owing to vertical piling of differentiated colors.

The adjustable knife includes a cutting edge with spaced-apart cutting projections in the transverse direction. A transport device for transporting a flat material in a direction of transport between the knives is provided. A cam is provided and configured for performing a periodic vertical motion. There is a transverse adjustment device configured for adjusting the transverse motion of the adjustable knife in a manner synchronized with the traveling motion. Likewise, there is an eccentric drive provided for the cam, and that is configured for guiding the cam in a circulatory motion which runs in a plane determined (e.g., bounded) by the vertical direction and the transverse direction.
