Abstract: A gas cooler includes paired header tanks, and a plurality of parallel flat tubes disposed between the header tanks. Each header tank is configured such that an outside plate, an inside plate, and an intermediate plate are brazed together in layers. When the height of each flat tube is represented by T (mm), the distance between each of the opposite longitudinal end surfaces of each flat tube and an outer surface of the corresponding intermediate plate is represented by L (mm), and the width of each communication hole of the intermediate plate is represented by W (mm), relations L?0.7 T and 1.1 T?W?2.5 T are satisfied. This gas cooler can minimize an increase in pressure loss when supercritical refrigerant flows from the flat tubes into first refrigerant flow sections of the outside plate and flows from the first refrigerant flow sections into the flat tubes.

Abstract: A one-piece tube for use as a watertube within a watertube boiler or heat exchanger has a free end section that is formed to have an integral, outward-extending circumferential ring, or flange, a spaced distance from an adjacent end face of the tube. This is preferably accomplished by radially expanding the tube within the free end section and by axially compressing the free end section to cause a portion of the tube to bulge radially outward to from the circumferential ring, or flange. The flange enables the watertube to be readily driven into engagement with a dome, manifold or like casting without the creation of leaks, such as weld leaks. The free end section of the tube that extends from the circumferential ring, or flange, to the adjacent end face of the tube can be formed with a taper such that the diameter of an outer wall of the tube progressively decreases from the circumferential ring, or flange, to the end face.

Abstract: Method for protecting a cable or a pipe which includes the following stages: a geotextile strip is shaped like a sheath around the cable or pipe; and, the strip is fixed around the cable or pipe. The strip includes a single sheet of at least one layer of nonwoven material. The nonwoven material can be a multilayer material with a central layer of a nonwoven material with a low density and high mechanical strength and at least one outer layer covering it on at least one side, and advantageously on both sides, of higher-density nonwoven material. The geotextile can be heat-sealable and the fixing can in particular be carried out by heat-sealing 141.

Abstract: This invention involves a compound and hollow insulator and its manufacturing method thereof. The insulator includes a connector, an insulating tube and petticoat. The insulating tube is made by winding epoxy glass fiber. The petticoat is arranged outside the insulating tube. The connector is arranged at the two ends of the insulating tube. The petticoat becomes an integrated body through injecting silicon sulfide rubber at the high-temperature so that the electrical and mechanical property is better. Meanwhile, the ratio of the qualified products is improved.

Abstract: An apparatus and method that permits signal traces of different widths and the same impedance to be placed on the same layer of a printed circuit board (PCB). Alternatively, signal traces of different impedances but the same width may be placed on the same layer of the PCB. Ground and power planes are paired on adjacent layers of the PCB with a portion of the power plane relative to the ground plane removed. Signal traces of the same width and different impedances or vice-versa can be placed on the same layer because each signal trace is referenced to different planes.

Abstract: In a semiconductor device, the topmost wiring layer of the package board is formed from an insulation material in which the elongation at break is 20% or higher and Young's modulus is 1 GPa or less when the temperature is 10 to 30° C. This insulation material contains a reactive elastomer that reacts with epoxy resin or an epoxy resin curing agent; an epoxy resin; an epoxy resin curing agent; and a crosslinked styrene-butadiene rubber having a double bond and a hydroxyl group, a carboxylic group, or another polar group. It is therefore possible to provide a semiconductor device that has a wiring board in which the connection reliability in relation to temperature cycles is high and the adhesiveness between the insulation layer and the electroless copper plating layer is also high.
