Publication number: 20070289445Abstract: A gas separator works on a pressure swing principle. The separator includes multiple sieve beds, preferably five arranged in pentagonal fashion about a centerline, and a control valve. The control valve includes a rotor and a stator. The rotor is mounted for rotation relative to the stator. One part of the rotor allows pressurized gas to flow to the stator and thereon to one or more, and preferably two, of the sieve beds for separation. Another part of the rotor blocks flow of gas through the stator to or from one or more of the sieve beds, and yet another part of the rotor allows waste gas to flow from one or more of the sieve beds back through the stator to an exhaust. The separator may be used as part of a system. In a method of use, sieve beds are cycled between adsorption, de-pressurization, purging, and pre-pressurization phases.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 15, 2006Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventors: Mei Hua, Cao Guo Chen

Publication number: 20070289489Abstract: A water-proofing composition which includes an emulsified asphalt component plus a latex blend with calcium chloride as a breaking solution. The water-proofing composition becomes tack-free quickly after application and can be applied to asphalt, concrete, brick, stone, wood, metal, wood, various primed metals and other substrates surfaces. The water-proofing composition is applied to a desired substrate surface by a co-depositing the emulsified asphalt component plus a latex blend with calcium chloride separately so that they mix together during the application process.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2007Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventors: Herbert Wissel, Joe Brandenburg, Bucky Brooks

Publication number: 20070289490Abstract: The invention relates to a material composition that is used for producing a coating for a component, especially a turbine component, which is made of a metallic basic material, i.e. a metal or a metal alloy. Said material composition comprises a matrix material for forming a basic coating matrix and at least one filler for adjusting desired coating proportions or coating characteristics. The matrix material can be provided especially with basic glass ceramic properties. The inventive material composition is characterized in that the matrix material and/or the filler contains nanoparticles.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2005Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventors: Rene Jabado, Ursus Kruger, Daniel Kortvelyessy, Ralph Reiche, Michael Rindler, Jan Steinbach, Raymond Ullrich

Publication number: 20070289491Abstract: A semiconductor nanocrystal composition comprising a Group V to VI semiconductor material and a method of making same. The method includes synthesizing a semiconductor nanocrystal core, where the synthesizing includes dissolving a Group V to VI anion gas in a first solvent to produce a Group V to VI anion precursor, preparing a cation precursor, and reacting the Group V to VI anion precursor with the cation precursor in the presence of a second solvent. The reacting may occur in a high pressure vessel.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2007Publication date: December 20, 2007Applicant: EVIDENT TECHNOLOGIES, INC.Inventors: Adam Peng, Margaret Hines, Susanthri Perera

Publication number: 20070289493Abstract: A transparent article with a silica-based infrared shielding film is provided. The film has excellent abrasion resistance and advanced infrared absorbency. The film contains an organic material and an inorganic material and is formed on a surface of the transparent substrate. The film contains silica as the main component and does not separate from the transparent substrate after the Taber abrasion test prescribed in Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) R 3212 that is carried out with respect to a surface of the film. The film further contains a manganese compound and at least one selected from indium tin oxide and antimony tin oxide. The manganese compound preferably includes manganese oxide.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 29, 2007Publication date: December 20, 2007Applicant: NIPPON SHEET GLASS COMPANY, LIMITEDInventors: Kazuyuki Inoguchi, Kazutaka Kamitani

Publication number: 20070289494Abstract: A size described for finishing glass fibers comprises merely a film-former, an adhesion promoter and also an acid for the purpose of adjusting the pH and water. The film-former used is preferably polyvinylpyrrolidone and the adhesion promoter, a ?-aminopropyltriethoxysilane hydrolyzed to the silanol. Acetic acid is preferred for acidifying. The glass fibers sized with this sizing composition are notable in particular for corrosion resistance and bear an uninterrupted layer of the film-former. The stiffness of the filaments thus sized is satisfactory. The fibers are very efficiently processsible as a dispersion by the wet-laying process and do not tend to agglomerate. The erasing fibers sized according to the invention are particularly useful.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 22, 2004Publication date: December 20, 2007Inventor: Roman Teschner
