Abstract: The invention relates to a cross-linking monomer having the structure Q-(L)n-P-(L?)m;-Q?, where Q and Q? are polymerisable units, L and L? are linkers providing direct or indirect electronic communication between Q and P and between P and Q?, and P is an electrofunctional unit, and also to polymers prepared from such monomers. Q for example may be a heteroaromatic ring such as thiophene, furan and pyrrole. The electrofunctional group may be, for example, porphyrin, substituted porphyrin, phthalocyanine or substituted phthalocyanine. The invention also relates to an electrofunctional material including a base material and a cross-linked polymer such as described.

Abstract: The invention discloses for the first time how an organic component can be produced in a process designed entirely as a roll-to-roll process. The advantage of the continuous production method described here is, further, that the active regions of the active semiconductor layer are not exposed to unprotected solvents and/or solvent vapors at any time during the production process. This makes it possible to produce a high-quality organic component.

Abstract: The invention has an object to provide a flow path block capable of reducing pressure loss, providing an extremely long flow path and a complex flow path, and achieving weight reduction, and a manufacturing method thereof. A flow path block (1) comprises a block body (11) formed with through holes (21) and a groove (22) communicating with the through holes (21) and a lid member (12) which covers the groove (22). The groove (22) can be formed with any depth and width by a cutting tool to reduce pressure loss. The groove (22) can also be formed in a long shape by the cutting tool, so that a very long flow path can be provided when the groove (22) is covered with the lid member (12). The groove (22) can be made freely by the cutting tool to provide a complex flow path. Further, the thickness of the block body (11) can be reduced to achieve weight reduction.

Abstract: A passivation film including a nitride-reformed layer that excludes chromium nitride (CrN) is formed on a surface of an austenitic stainless steel. The passivation film composed of chromium oxide functions as protection film against lead-free solder. As a result, the surface of stainless steel is hard to be corroded even when it contacts with the lead-free solder in its melted solder, thereby improving its corrosion resistance and its wear resistance substantially. In a case of SUS316 stainless steel, on an outermost surface of which the passivation film is formed, a period of lapsed time until corrosion of the stainless steel starts extends to about 500 hours as line Le shown in FIG. 4, and its corrosion depth indicates shallower one (20 through 25 ?m) as compared with the conventional one, thereby expecting that its durable year can be improved to an extent similar to that using a lead-filled solder, in order to obtain a stainless steel with enhanced corrosion resistance.

Abstract: A tire has a tread, with the tread having a plurality of ground engaging tread elements creating a tread surface and at least one of the elements has a sipe therein. In planes parallel to the tread surface, the configuration of a radially outer portion of the sipe is defined by a continuous non-linear curvature, the curvature having at least one radius R. The value of the radius R of the sipe curvature increases from the tread surface to a base of the sipe and the base of the sipe has a configuration defined by a radius R having a value of infinity.

Abstract: An adhesive mounting system. The adhesive mounting system enables a stronger mounting between the mounted object, adhesive and a mounting surface. The system uses an applicator to greatly increase the pressure applied on the adhesive against the mounting surface. This increases the bonding of the adhesive and the mounting surface. Further, the adhesive is forced into contact with uneven surfaces to increase the bonding area. The applicator in one embodiment includes a reduced end portion to increase the application pressure.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device (1) to prevent contamination on a wall inner side (53, 54, 55, 56, 67) of a transport device (10) for fibers (60) which are designated for the production of fiberboards and which after wetting with glue in a dry-gluing unit (2) are transported by the transport device to a further processing unit (13) by means of transport air. By returning dried material (50), which has been acquired during the course of further processing of the glued fibers and no longer has any cold-sticky glue, into the flow (7) of fibers (60), which still comprise cold-sticky glue, in the transport device, the said contamination is prevented in an effective and inexpensive manner.

Abstract: A label structure and a method for obtaining the label structure are described. A self-adhesive web of material continuously advances at a predetermined speed along a path between an ultrasonic horn assembly and a rotary anvil, the self-adhesive web of material of a type originally used for the obtaining of labels or other self-adhesive products. The ultrasonic horn assembly is further activated to move along its vertical axis and further transmits ultrasound wave signals when contacting the web of material.
