Abstract: A cutting tool includes a first and second pivoted levers for opening and closing and a pair workpiece engagement members having one or more cutting edges. One of the workpiece engagement members is pivotably attached to the fist and second members, while the other workpiece engagement member is fixedly attached to the second lever. The levers connected together by a linkage having one end fixed in position the first lever and having another end slideably attached to the second lever by of a slide element. An adjustment device is connected to the side element and to a rotatable handle on the first handle. The adjustment device moves and holds the slide element in a plurality of positions which correspond to different cutting ratios. An associated method of use is also disclosed in which the rotatable handle is used to adjust the cutting ratio while the tool is engaged with a workpiece.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally pertains to apparatuses and methods for cooling and/or heating feet. In accordance with one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a medium transfer apparatus is inserted into and/or coupled to a shoe. The apparatus has an inlet that can be detachably coupled to a medium injection apparatus, such as a conventional spray can, that injects compressed air or some other cooling medium through the medium transfer apparatus into an interior region of the shoe. Thus, by injecting the cooling medium into the shoe, a user is able to cool his foot without removing his foot from the shoe. In one embodiment, the cooling medium is directed to an insole of the shoe such that the insole is significantly cooled by the cooling medium being injected into the shoe. The cooled insole continues to draw heat from the user's foot and the user continues to feel a cooling sensation long after the cooling medium injection has ended.

Abstract: An apparatus, method, and system for highway signs, particularly those related to highway or route number and direction information related to that highway or route number. The apparatus includes a highway or route number on the sign. A high visibility portion is physically positioned relative to the route number in a manner correlated to a cardinal point compass direction relative to the route number. By this relationship, a driver will immediately perceive directional information related to the route number by the position of the portion on the sign.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment includes a solid state memory chip contained in or attached to various items of jewelry to be worn on the body of the user. The chip contains extensive medical information about the user, as well as contact and address information, and medical insurance information. The information on the microchip would be accessed by its contacts or by a small USB plug on the jewelry and connected to the memory chip inside. The jewelry would also contain on its surface a medical alert symbol. If the wearer of the jewelry is injured or has a medical emergency, the emergency medical technicians would recognize the medical alert symbol and would see the computer cable plug or open the chip container, and would plug in a computer or other device which could quickly read the medical information stored on the microchip.

Abstract: An insertion device is described which enables an operator to easily insert flat cards into the pockets provided in display devices. The device has the general shape of a miniature dust pan having a flat floor and which has a tapered nose for insertion into said pockets. The device includes shallow vertical sides which slope upwardly from the floor of the device adjacent said nose so as to lift the upper surface of the pocket when inserted therein. A card is then laid on the device, the dimensions of the card, insertion device, and the pocket having been previously decided, and the card is now slid along the floor of the insertion device into the pocket.

Abstract: A display panel of the present invention basically includes a transparent panel and at least one sticking pad. A gap that extends within the transparent panel is defined at one end of the transparent panel, and the gap enables a photograph or other graph card to be inserted into the transparent panel. The sticking pad is at least bonded to a rear surface of the transparent panel. Accordingly, the display panel enables the transparent panel to be adhered to a wall or display cabinet using the sticking pad, and provides optimum visual display and exposure of the photograph or graph card within the transparent panel. More particularly, the display panel can be adhered repeatedly in different positions an unlimited number of times, thereby substantially characterizing practicability and convenience of use of the entire display panel.

Abstract: A photo frame that includes a case having a plurality of threaded fixing members and embedding members. The threaded members and the embedding members accommodate fixing members of an inner frame body an outer frame body and a picture device. A retractable stand is formed from a rotatable fixed disk, a first stand and a second stand, and holding grooves are defined in the fixed disk, which enable the second stand to receive the first stand. Moreover, position fixing pieces, fixing bars and rotatable position fixing members are located on the fixed disk. With such a configuration, the fixed disk, the first stand and the second stand of the retractable stand are able to effectively reduce manufacturing cost of the photo frame, and enable the photo frame to serve as a fixed decoration that can be arranged in different orientations and at variable angles.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a scented picture frame having removable scent boards attached in spaced relation to provide an aromatic ambiance with the display of an item such as a picture. The present invention features a holder on the back of the frame, capable of holding one or more scent boards in parallel adjacent the back of the frame, whereby an aroma is dissipated from a scented oil on the scent board to enhance the experience of viewing the item. Scents are impregnated into the scent board and retained by individually wrapping the scent boards for future use. One or more scents may be used with the present invention by hanging multiple scent boards on the scented picture frame. The scent boards may be removed and replaced when the scent is dissipated or to change the aroma. A picture pouch is used to protect the item in the scented picture frame from absorbing an aroma of the scent board.
