Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a power tool combination and a synchronization control device thereof including a first power tool, a second power tool, a signal receiving device electrically connected to the first power tool and a signal transmitting device electrically connected to the second power tool. The signal receiving device has a power switch for controlling the first power tool. The first aid second power tool are synchronously powered-on or powered-off via signal transmission and the signal transmitting device and the signal receiving device form independent circuits with the first and second power tools respectively. This makes the power of the power tool combination unlimited by the current capacity of the inlet wires of the power tools and lowers manufacturing costs.

Abstract: A vacuum cleaner motor assembly comprises a motor in a bucket 32, arranged to drive a fan to provide airflow. An epicyclic gear system 34 is attached to the output shaft 33 of the motor, to produce an output of reduced rotational speed. The output is employed to drive an agitator via a belt. The belt is driven at a reduced rotational speed to that achievable hitherto, and thus there is reduced wear on the belt. The provision of a gear arrangement mounted directly to the motor casing provides a compact assembly. One of the epicyclic gears, such as the ring gear 39, is arranged to slip with respect to a clutch member 41 if the agitator becomes jammed. An actuator 50 switches off the motor if the heat of friction of the slipping gear exceeds a predetermined value, or if the slipping gear rotates at a speed above a predetermined value. Thus, the motor switches off before damage occurs to any of the components of the system.

A rolled electroactive polymer device converts between electrical and mechanical energy; and includes a rolled electroactive polymer and at least two electrodes to provide the mechanical/electrical energy conversion. Prestrain is typically applied to the polymer. In one embodiment, a rolled electroactive polymer device employs a mechanism, such as a spring, that provides a force to prestrain the polymer. Since prestrain improves mechanical/electrical energy conversion for many electroactive polymers, the mechanism thus improves performance of the rolled electroactive polymer device.

Abstract: A circuit board for reducing a transmission loss and a method for manufacturing the circuit board. In the circuit board including a ground layer and power layer facing each other, a wiring layer disposed between the ground layer and the power layer, and an insulating section formed between the ground layer and the power layer so as to sandwich the wiring layer therebetween, a low dielectric loss layer having a dielectric tangent lower than that of the insulating section is formed at least on an upper or lower surface of the wiring layer. According to such a circuit board, the low dielectric loss layer is formed on an interface between the insulating section and the wiring layer, and therefore, a transmission loss in a high frequency region is reduced.
