Abstract: A hair brush for preventing hair loss is provided. The hair brush of the current invention is comprised of a main body, a bristle body and a spike body. The main body of the brush is made of ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) polymer. The bristle body and the spike shape body are made of mixtures of anion emitting material, magnets and plastics such as silicon and polyurethane. Strength of the magnetic field generated from the bristle body and spike body is controlled to be 5 to 50 Gauss by controlling composition of carbon steel and strength of the magnetizer. Emitting anion concentration is controlled to be 400 to 700 each/cm3 by adjusting composition of anion emitting materials. Combing 10 cm2 area of scalp one minute a day for 30 days, number of hair loss a day decreased from over 100 each to less than 20 each.

Abstract: An electronics system is implemented within a compact enclosure comprising two or more hinged layers. The functionality corresponding to a shelf of a conventional cabinet resides in a corresponding layer. Backplanes are eliminated, each layer having contact surfaces that mate with matching surfaces of adjacent layers when the layers are rotated about their hinges into the closed configuration. Additional interconnection may be made through cabling housed within a special channel or compartment. Each layer may include cooling fans, which are smaller than conventional counterparts (due to shorter convection paths). Expansion may be effectuated by mating additional units of similar conformation in a modular fashion. Optionally, the functionality corresponding to a given layer may be implemented in circuitry integrated onto a single board to reduce cabling and facilitate replacement and repair. Additional functional layers may be stacked along the depth direction as well as the height or width direction.

Abstract: Using a beam of xenon ions together with a suitable mask, a GMR stack is ion milled until a part of it, no more than about 0.1 microns thick, has been removed so that a pedestal, having sidewalls comprising a vertical section that includes all of the free layer, has been formed. This is followed by formation of the longitudinal bias and conductive lead layers in the usual way. Using xenon as the sputtering gas enables the point at which milling is terminated to be more precisely controlled.

Abstract: A suction nozzle 65 of a reversing head device 22 has a distal end surface 65a with a suction hole 65b opened therein, and a suction passage 65c communicated with the suction hole 65b at one end thereof. A portion of the distal end surface 65a outside of the suction hole 65b abuts against bumps 39 of an electronic component 12. The suction hole 65b is opposed with a gap to a portion of a mounting side surface 12a where no bumps 39 are present. A vacuum pump 65 creates an air flow that flows from the gap between the suction hole 65b and mounting side surface 12a into the suction passage 65c through the suction hole 65b. The electronic component 12 is held at the distal end surface 65a by a negative pressure generated by the air flow.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for producing a lancing element in which a flat-shaped member is formed from a flat material by applying a mask and allowing an etching agent to act upon it, wherein at least a part of the flat-shaped member is shaped as a tip. The mask is provided with a shaping area for the tip to be formed and with a screening area which extends distally beyond this shaping area to prevent the tip from being etched off at the front. A sharp tip is exposed by laterally undercutting the side flanks of the shaping area and screening area.

Abstract: A multi-stage masking and plating process for making printed wiring boards with multiple interstitial resistors includes disposing a first mask over a printed wiring board substrate that leaves one or more first vias of the plurality of vias exposed and covers the remaining vias. The first vias are filled with an electrically resistive compound to thereby form one or more first interstitial resistors. The first mask is removed, and a second mask is disposed over the printed wiring board substrate that leaves one or more second vias of the plurality of vias exposed and covers the remaining vias. The second vias are filled with an electrically resistive compound to thereby form one or more second interstitial resistors. The second mask is then removed.

Abstract: A multilayer substrate assembly (80) includes at least one embedded component (52) within a plurality of stacked pre-processed substrates. Each pre-processed substrate can have a core dielectric (14), patterned conductive surfaces (12 and 16) on opposing sides of the core dielectric, and at least one hole (18) in each of at least two adjacently stacked pre-processed substrates such that at least two holes are substantially aligned on top of each other forming a single hole (19). The assembly further includes a processed adhesive layer (48) between top and bottom surfaces of respective pre-processed substrates. The embedded component is placed in the single hole and forms a gap (67 & 66) between the embedded component and a peripheral wall of the single hole. When the assembly is biased, the processed adhesive layer fills the gap to form the assembly having the embedded component cross-secting the plurality of pre-processed substrates.
