Abstract: This new invention of an olive plant is characterized by its similarity to the ‘Koroneiki Standard’ (unpatented) from the island of Crete (Greece) from which it is a clonal selection, but is distinguished therefrom by producing a very small fruit early in the age of the tree (3rd leaf), better vigor, and higher productivity. The plants are ideally suited for olive oil production, mechanical harvesting and high density planting. The fruit matures in northern California during the third week of October.

Front and rear doors are attached to the side walls to close the space between the shelf and housing at the front and rear, respectively, of the closure assembly, so that the doors, the side walls, and shelf and the housing enclose a warm compartment that holds and displays warm foods. Both doors pivot about horizontal axes to provide access to the warm compartment. The housing contains a fan and heating element for circulating heated air through the warm compartment.

Abstract: Plastic injection-compression multi-cavity molding of flash-free improved-cleanliness thermoplastic spectacle lenses (16) are suitable to be robotically dip hardcoated. Special spring-loaded (25, 26) molds having variable-volume mold cavities are used in an injection-compression molding process to form, without parting line flash, pairs of a wide range of differing optical power of polycarbonate Rx spectacle lenses (16). These pairs have special molded-on design features which are specially suited for full automation, starting with a novel way for ejection out of the mold into a takeout robot which is integrated via full automation with subsequent dip hardcoating. A molded-on tab with each pair of lenses is specially suited for manipulation by SCARA type robot.

Abstract: A multi-touch system is disclosed that recognizes simultaneous touchdown of four fingers on, above, or below the home row of keys as a modifier chord and applies modifiers such as Shift, Ctrl, or Alt to subsequent touch activity until none of the chord fingertips remain touching. Touches by the thumb of the modifier chord hand that occur before any modifiable typing or clicking activity cause the modifier chord to be canceled and reinterpreted as hand resting. The Shift modifier may be released temporarily during thumb keypresses that are intermixed with typing of capitalized characters. Distributing the modifier chord touches across different zones or key rows selects multiple modifiers. In an alternative embodiment, different modifiers can be selected with different arrangements of the fingers relative to one another within the chord, irrespective of absolute hand alignment with the touch surface.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for treating an intervertebral disc by ablation of disc tissue. A method of the invention includes positioning at least one active electrode within the intervertebral disc, and applying at least a first high frequency voltage between the active electrode(s) and one or more return electrode(s), wherein the volume of the nucleus pulposus is decreased, pressure exerted by the nucleus pulposus on the annulus fibrosus is reduced, and discogenic pain of a patient is alleviated. In other embodiments, a curved or steerable probe is guided to a specific target site within a disc to be treated, and the disc tissue at the target site is ablated by application of at least a first high frequency voltage between the active electrode(s) and one or more return electrode(s). A method of making an electrosurgical probe is also disclosed.

Abstract: A jacket that may be used in hot weather is disclosed. The jacket may be particularly useful for motorcycle and equestrian riders. The jacket is sufficiently fashionable and stylish such that it may be worn on other occasions as well. According to some aspects the jacket includes two sleeves, a chest portion, and a back portion. The chest portion is shorter than conventional jackets, and according to some arrangements the chest portion is designed to accent a woman's figure and be worn above the wearer's breastline. A zipper, snaps, buttons, or Velcro, and/or decorative trim may also be added.

Abstract: Disclosed is a shade curtain for screening a user's face from the sunlight or the insect, which gives a considerable reduction in costs and a considerable improvement in value of commodities. The shade curtain is freely attachable to and detachable from a hat or a safety helmet. Pluralities of supporting plates enclose side circumferential-edges of the hat or the safety helmet. A net-shaped sun shades is attached to and extends downwards from outer peripheral edges of the supporting plates and supporting ribs for supporting front upper edges of the net-shaped sun shade. The supporting ribs are hingedly mounted to front ends of the clipping parts. The clipping parts have a “” shape sectional surface respectively, in which a jaw for holding the visor fitted between an upper clipping plate and a lower clipping plate of the clipping parts is formed at an entrance there between. A locking device is provided at a joint between the clipping parts and the supporting ribs.

Abstract: A goggles structure reduces its overall weight and rigidity to improve the comfort of wearing, which provides better ventilation and prevents its wearing without a lens. The goggles comprise a goggles frame including a frame and a connecting section, a lens, a pair of head strap connecting means, and a head strap. At least one hanging hook is protruded from the top of the frame. A plurality of hanging holes corresponding to the hanging hooks is disposed at the top and bottom of the lens for fixing the lens onto the frame. The head strap latches the head strap connecting means onto both sides of the lens for preventing the lens from falling out accidentally. When the goggles are not used, the latching force disappears and allows its removal for cleaning. A ventilation structure disposed inside the lens is provided to prevent splattering.

Abstract: The crash garment comprises an inner suit to be worn by a person and associated therewith, an inflatable flexible member. The inflatable member has a gas producing device capable of releasing gas and inflating the inflatable member when the person is suddenly separated from the vehicle. This is made possible by providing signals and controls that direct the gas producing device to start inflation of the flexible member. A valve is provided to deflate the inflated member a short predetermined time after inflation of the flexible member.

Abstract: A transmission mechanism comprises a rotating shaft, a main column, a rotating column, a stick, a spring and a fixed column. The main column has a first axle hole receiving the rotating shaft. End of the main column has an O-shaped trench having a stop within. The rotating column fixed with the rotating shaft has a through hole between its first end and second end. The stick is plugged into the through hole. The fixed column fixed with the toilet has a third axle hole receiving the rotating shaft. The fixed column has a C-shaped trench having a deep first terminal and a shallow second terminal. The spring is disposed to enclose the stick and is for elastically protruding the stick out the first end or the second end to insert the C-shaped trench or the O-shaped trench.
